Welfare isn't socialism it Soc-Demism

What specific programs are included in the data used to generate that figure? welfare becomes unsustainable as the rate of profit continues to fall

What is that chart even showing? Pol tier inforaph, infantile as fuck my dude

Hmmmmmm…

Your sources are propaganda. Beyond that, just using inflation adjusted dollars seems hardly fair. The size of the economy itself in inflation adjusted dollars has also grown massively. A better question is the size of these programs as a share of total national product to estimate the actual balance of power in the society.

I like how conservatives think Medicare is welfare.

Telling them you _feel_ like we need it

remind them that subsidies are also welfare programs even if it hurts their feelings.

...

Capitalism benefits from welfare, the same with bailouts. If you have nothing to lose then you have nothing to lose when you revolt. Welfare makes life under poverty a little bit better. The last thing capitalists need are angry proles with nothing to lose. Increases in welfare are just more bandaids that fail to heal the ever increasing contradictions.

Get the fuck off this board.

no, stay on the board and learn.

possibly learn by avoiding posts like this:

Apparently it show that welfare cuts barely put a dent in welfare spending.

Look at the 80s with Reaganomics, it stayed still until HW got into office and fucked with shit in the mid east; clinton kept up the status quo and of course we all know W Bush was a war bird. Seriously, if anything this shows how extreme public spending ruins the economy.

Maybe you should also adjust it for demographic growth?

tell them it doesn't actually matter, besides it proving that the economic model is shit.

I'd like to see the comparison to income demographics and population size.
