Maybe it would help if you expended on your thoughts, but the only real constant for capitalism if you're looking for a moral pillar, is the affirmation of private property rights. You may be conflating capitalism and liberalism, but I think that would be a mistake - there are capitalist countries today and historically that haven't been all too liberal. Capitalism seems to be largely an amoral system, whereas socialism starts from the position of resolving some form of economic or political exploitation.

It's not clear what kind of values you're looking for, but there is a ton of material out there on what communism or socialism is.
