not really, secularism should be enforced but if people's spooks helps them be leftists who cares?

t. atheist

Not at all. Religion should be more restricted, not being allowed to have machinations with property, business and wealth, or preach reactionary values, but that's about it.

Nah, banning religion only ensures that actual reactionary institutions come back in full force in the future. Take what happened in the Soviet Union, for instance.

no our goal is to build society free from opression. now go kick a dustbin,

Communism isn't what Holla Forums says it is

Suppressing religious institutions isn't the same as destroying religion entirely. If people want to apply socialism to their religious spooks just let them.

"For Germany, the criticism of religion has been essentially completed, and the criticism of religion is the prerequisite of all criticism.

The profane existence of error is compromised as soon as its heavenly oratio pro aris et focis [“speech for the altars and hearths,” i.e., for God and country] has been refuted. Man, who has found only the reflection of himself in the fantastic reality of heaven, where he sought a superman, will no longer feel disposed to find the mere appearance of himself, the non-man [Unmensch], where he seeks and must seek his true reality.

The foundation of irreligious criticism is: Man makes religion, religion does not make man. Religion is, indeed, the self-consciousness and self-esteem of man who has either not yet won through to himself, or has already lost himself again. But man is no abstract being squatting outside the world. Man is the world of man – state, society. This state and this society produce religion, which is an inverted consciousness of the world, because they are an inverted world. Religion is the general theory of this world, its encyclopaedic compendium, its logic in popular form, its spiritual point d’honneur, its enthusiasm, its moral sanction, its solemn complement, and its universal basis of consolation and justification. It is the fantastic realization of the human essence since the human essence has not acquired any true reality. The struggle against religion is, therefore, indirectly the struggle against that world whose spiritual aroma is religion.

Religious suffering is, at one and the same time, the expression of real suffering and a protest against real suffering. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.

The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness. To call on them to give up their illusions about their condition is to call on them to give up a condition that requires illusions. The criticism of religion is, therefore, in embryo, the criticism of that vale of tears of which religion is the halo.

Criticism has plucked the imaginary flowers on the chain not in order that man shall continue to bear that chain without fantasy or consolation, but so that he shall throw off the chain and pluck the living flower. The criticism of religion disillusions man, so that he will think, act, and fashion his reality like a man who has discarded his illusions and regained his senses, so that he will move around himself as his own true Sun. Religion is only the illusory Sun which revolves around man as long as he does not revolve around himself.

It is, therefore, the task of history, once the other-world of truth has vanished, to establish the truth of this world. It is the immediate task of philosophy, which is in the service of history, to unmask self-estrangement in its unholy forms once the holy form of human self-estrangement has been unmasked. Thus, the criticism of Heaven turns into the criticism of Earth, the criticism of religion into the criticism of law, and the criticism of theology into the criticism of politics."
t. Marx

No. Our goal is to abolish the present state of things.

Eh, if Marx was right about religion being the opiate of the masses, it should wither away on its on under socialism. Attacking religion just gets people who might support socialism to e against it. Church and State are mostly separate in the West so it's not even a real issue.

just about everything about this post is incorrect

no nigger it's to seize the means of production

So do new athiests still exist? I thought you guys all became alt-rightists?

The idea is that enacting socialism will destroy religion. You're not wrong OP. But we ought not to attack religion to much and instead just discourage it until it fizzles away into nothingness.

There is literally nothing wrong with loving HaShem.

You stupid fuck, religious conservatism is literally only so popular because the ruling class shilled that shit so heavily. One example:

According to Marx, religion's destruction would simply be a SIDE EFFECT of socialism, it's not necessarily desirable, and certainly not something to specifically work for in of itself.

To destroy religion without first having abolished capitalism is just to get rid of one of the last remaining conduits through which collective action can be taken, doing capital's reduction of everyone to solitary individuals with no ability to work with anyone else to combat capitalism for it.

Remember: MLK jr was a preacher, the civil rights movement was primarily organized through a network of black churches. If you whiners had your way back then jim crow would still be the law of the land.

The goal isnt to destory religion, the goal is to remove the reason for religion to exist.

As a burger, I don't see any other way to reach Godcucks. Religion is incredibly ingrained into many religious people's lives, and there is plenty of socialist rhetoric in the bible. If that represents a hook, then I say use it, it is a tool to reach people. MLK jr did it quite well, and I say this as an agnostic.

Why do seculars just assume religious people are all suffering and/or "delusional"?

Not all of us turned to G*d out of hopelessness. Religion isn't just a comfort thing, it also involves search for truth, spiritual experiences, finding the footprint of G*d in all things, etc.

Plenty of people in the communist party in my country are catholics. Why going against them? They help the party, they're always there on the meetings, but they like to attend church every sunday.
Why would i act like an autistic idiot and start berating them? So they would join the christian "democrats" instead?

Explain what's wrong?

fuck off ahteistcuck you're not fucking welcome here

Most Communist countries allow churches to operate. Maybe those churches are compromised?

Is it?

Stop this.
