following the october revolution the laws of Tsarist russia were abolished, and except local laws a constitution was never drawn up until the 30's, with there being an official constitution in 1936. Homosexuality was still seen very much as a disease in the medical world at the time, and to state Lenin had different views on this would be fucking retarded, as it would be to say "lol Lenin freed the gays" only because he abolished all Tsarist laws. So I don't see this as surprising given the time of happening and the historical context.

The restrictions on abortion could be considered consistent with original Bolshevik intentions:

This change in the law has been treated as an attack on sex-equality.
