Keep blocking dem ads!

Porkies withdrawing from online ads, this shit can't be sustained much longer. I can't wait to see the online ad model die, hopefully it takes the silicon valley tech giants down as well.

Also shilling for adnauseam.io

You do realise that they'll make ads harder to detect by embedding them in the content itself, right? It will only be far more obvious that social values and layers of messages propagate through vast quantities of material.

That would be much more difficult than the current way of using ads and would cause a lot of problems.

Take youtube for instance. They put run ads before videos, have pop-up ads on the bottom of the screen, and put ads on the side. The alternative to this that's immune to ad blockers is to put ads in the video itself. That is, either have the content creator put an ad in or have youtube stick an ad at the start of the video. That fuckin shit ain't happening.

On news articles you might see more native advertising, but if you have more than a little of that then people will stop bothering with a site because they don't want to have to sort through bullshit for actual content (or content aggregators like reddit will pick out the news stories and ignore the ads).

Anyone else using this had trouble with google switching back to its old UI? My Google changed to an older UI scheme and I'm convinced its an evil plot to hinder me because of my use of this.

you do realise this will reduce usefulness of corporate media to zero? we're looking in the face of revolutionary changes

I'm using this but it only seems to block ads like any regular adblocker would and not show how much I've raped the advertisement infrastructure for some reason. Help?

Basically google through a proxy.

zerohedge isn't reliable

Using this over ublock for a month and I get no ads while ublock breaks sites like gelbooru and anti ad blockers don't detect this for some reason.

Just installed, seems like a cool idea

Not him. Made the switch and it's pretty much the same. The only thing that do bothers me sometimes is how, sometimes, I want to rely on SEO-tailored results, but that's just a minor inconvenience, if anything.

10/10

yeah we shouldn't fight back because they'll just change tactics gg

You have to go back

That also makes sales harder to track and is much more expensive to deploy. It's similar to Wikileaks strategy of making the enemy will collapse under its own weight.

I'm glad we can agree on this…

Ad Nauseum is not only an ad blocker, but an ad-clicker. It SECURELY automatically clicks on ads, thereby giving false clicks so that companies like Gewgle have to refund monies to said companies. It is secure, and I even have it to open malicious ads. It's pretty cool. I'm on my phone right now, but while running it on my computer, I have around $10,000.00 worth of refunds that gewgle has to pay back. Yes it blocks the ads from your computet.

Just do it.

Don't forget to start your website with Square Space

They're also asking to get regulated if they attempt that. In fact, the FCC passed important updates to in-line advertising as a response to gamegate a couple years ago.

That would be the equivalent of just straight up shooting themselves in the foot.

Holla Forumsfag here. I am wondering why a bunch of lefties would want to do damage to Google and other major sjw giants when they are your only chance at winning the next presidential election.

Google is manipulating search results, YouTube is demonizing predominantly rightwing channels as well as hiding them behind the "interstitial", and Twitter and Facebook are suppressing thr posting of predominantly right wing news sources that they deem as fake news. All if this is the dems only chance at beating Trump in 2020 and securing democratic wins for all elections going forward, yet you want to fuck it all up by causing these companies all this extra grief?

Man, can't wait for 2020. Gonna be a doozy

We're not liberals, retard.

Lurk more.

You're not even Holla Forums, much less of the "alt-lite" type.

If there is one thing that both Holla Forums and Holla Forums agree on it's that Google and other tech giants need to curb their incessant data gathering.

While Holla Forums I've seen is more to the side of allowing for information to flow in contrast to Holla Forums sadly , this does not hinder the two opposite sides to unite for a greater cause.

...

You're not Holla Forums, you're the_donald.

Fuck liberals is why.

Truly devastating times

The best rising technocracy is my greatest fear right now. Google higher-ups wield a disgusting amount of power

I understand that's the point of this addon, but this is false advertising.
installed it anyway, you should too

how come it doesn't block these little shits? Is there a way I can use it with ublock simulatenously?

No. All the data will be useless if you click on everything. It's as useless to them as if you had clicked on nothing, but now it's costing them money on top of that.

nvm figured it out.
for anyone else who's as retarded as me, this is how you fix it.

Holla Forumsfag here, Every time I see a post like this i'm reminded more and more why I come here for serious discussion. Holla Forums has this over Holla Forums any day, and that is that they actually discuss politics and not "le esoteric pepe mems! hitlor would have loved anime!"

Get a VPN then.

Why would commies, anarchists, or socialist ever support some big faggy lib corporation?
Nah fuck that, destroy them both and free up the MoP for my ego.

It sounds like you don't know much about the online advertising industry. Native ads are extremely common and have been around a very long time. I build moneymaking websites for a living and have been using native ads embedded into the content since 2010. They are easier to use and more profitable than display ads like google adsense.

Any time you see an Amazon link online, it is more than likely a native ad. These are also called "affiliate programs." It's 100% the way of the future for online advertising.

...

...

same here its half broken

if you click on uBlock icon you ger uBlock menu, with working picker to kill parts of webpages (same as on right click)

To enter Dashboard you need to to go to Menu>Addons>AdNauseum>Dashboard

I don't understand. does it click on ads even after I leave the website?

It does not click after you leave a page. You can also turn off the clicking if you don't want that feature.

the ! notation in ddg is incredible for this

want a youtube video? !yt want google? !g wikipedia? !w it's like when your grandpa downloaded 20 search bars for his browser, except actually usable

so how is that not live tracking? how does this not mean Google can track my growing activity when I click on a page?
also doesn't disabling clicking defeat the purpose?

LEARN THE DIFFERENCE YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT NAZI SCUM SUCKER. I FUCKING HATE HTEY KEEP CALLING US LIBERALS OR FASCISTS. MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!!!1111

you are correct in saying that it does not prevent google tracking what sites you visit that have google ads but clicking on the ads does not give them any more data as when you visit a website with google ads you are already loading the ads from google server thus letting them know you have visited that page even if you don't click the ad. if you want to prevent this sort of tracking then addons such as policeman will prevent these ads from loading at all.

Can I still get the ad-on on Chrome somewhere?

By switching to Firefox

Firefox lags and freezes all the fucking time

I guess Holla Forumsyp over here took a break from blowing himself to do his best leftist impression.

Oh Father Stalin, who art in utopia, upheld be your Marxist thought, please give me the ability to slap normalfags through the internet. Praise Lenin.🙏

I knew Holla Forums was stupid, but this is like telling David Duke to do a talk at the Apollo Theater
