Its a pretty good show about mental illness, but it suffers from serious budgetary issues. They did some remake movies designed to fix it but actually all it did was turn it into the exact kind of show it wasn't meant to be.

As for whether or not you should watch it i don't think its worth watching unless you have some appreciation for anime, since it is designed to play on and subvert some of the tropes of anime. Though today it might not feel that way, since many of the things it subverted have now become the norm in an attempt to copy evangelion.

It's at least worth watching to form your own opinion, if the premise sounds interesting to you. Ignore anyone trying to tell you "ZOMG it's the best!!!11!1!" or "It is literal trash". I'm back in school, and now I'm also able to go to the gym and work out in front of other people, and I can talk to people. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a amazing tool when you learn how to use it, almost scarry powerfull way to change your own behaviour patterns. pretty sure you can use it to become a rapist if your desperate for pussy
