The capitalist and communist states stayed in peace. Yet somehow a full-blown socialist/communist world will kill each other.

kill each other with what? the weapons we don't have and most of us are not trained to operate? the average person has virtually no capacity for substantial violence, and even less will. most people will do anything to avoid violence

the age of 'major wars' is long over. in this century, do you seriously see something like england and france again going to war against germany? it's an absurd thought. the most you'll see is relatively small and localised conflicts in the developing world. that or nuclear events, which aren't really wars

I disagree that there will be two wars. There will be many fronts, and they will change over time, but the war you are talking about is already being fought. It's the resource war. Everything from oil to water, we need more and more each year, we have less and less each year.

Not really, China had limited border wars with the USSR but neither side was willing to throw any real power behind the conflict in fear of it becoming a full scale war.
