Will we still bury them?

Will we still bury them?

The struggle has only begun, Comrade.

Why is Soviet technology so based in Red Alert again?

The world is ours!

i never played red alert

...

I'm just realizing Yuri is a super Lenin who can commune with the Dialectic itself.

what's the best C&C game for Linux? OpenRA?

They're not called tankies for nothing

Reminder Feel a Troopers are based

Soon!

Muscle over everything else; macro to a fault. Also one of the best soundtracks in vidya.

Try running ARES with Mental Omega in Wine.

it looks cool, it has red paint, and it can probably kill porkies, so yes. That thing is good, it is actually a form of socialism.

...

If we had something like that IRL we'd have world communism by now. Sign me the fuck up.

Why even live?

Why even live?

Even in video games the US can't escape this

The thread where communists LITERALLY admitted they need mind control to achieve communism.

Fuggin ebic mad dude!!!

Upvoted, my good sir :)

I love the edit where they change the picture of Lenin and Stalin to Yuri and Stalin

Rather be Iraqi. Desolators were fucking insane.

Nuclear weapons was a game changer. Without them white house would be red house.

Desolators were fucking tight. You could drop a few of them from a flak track and stop all infantry attacks by irradiating the ground, then engage the allied armor on ground where the constant damage hit their lighter armor much harder.

That's not true, we also need giant squids and invulnerability fields too.

Don't forget weaponized tesla coils on tanks and nuclear airships.

The desolator trick was a good one, but if I remember right, putting three Ivan'd nuke trucks in an amphibious transport made the explosion outrange most static defences. If you managed to make these invincible or teleport them, it was worse than a nuke.

I fucking love Red Alert. It was the only game I owned when I was growing up and for some reason I could only play the Soviet campaign. It's pretty much part of my childhood.

IIRC, it was a two disk game with one disk for each campaign?

It may have been. We only owned the Soviet disc though. I think we bought it 2nd hand.

I played this game for the first time in the late 00s on a pirated copy so I never got to play it online. If only SC: Brood War didn't kill it. Apparently it had shit balance.

Good on your parents, protecting you from Amerikkkan propaganda

just torrent it tbh fam, it still has hundreds of players and active communities, particularly in Gameranger. Yuri's Revenge is what most people play.

Be warned that by this point the community has become incredibly autistic and meta as fuck.

O fugg nibba really? I remember there was a fanmade expansion pack being made in the early 2010's that was 'realistic' and really fucking difficult to play.

Also

Do you play it? RTS takes a long fucking time to learn I don't wanna get slapped around and made fun of

My parents are awesome. My mum's got Yugoslavian heritage.

Hell no, play a few matches and you'll quickly see what I mean.
You can probably learn what's going on since it's not actually a complex game when you boil it down to spamming a very basic strategy in under two minutes.

Suicide trucks were based AF. RA4 I want a unit that just plows through enemy civilians and has a chance to fuck up their economy or something.

Of course, that means we can turn them int trees.

...

Puh-lease - cram 4 in a hovercraft, Iron Curtain it (if you were playing against the computer/superweapons ban was off) drive it into the middle of their base but wait until they destroy the hovercraft for maximum fun.
