Holla Forums how do i get better at reading books??

Start to read daily. When you're reading, if you come across a sentence you think is particularly important to the text underline it with a pencil. At the end of a paragraph, stop to reflect how to connects to the previous paragraph(s). It takes time, but it's just a matter of sticking with it and doing it regularly. I like to wake up in the morning, caffinate, and then read for a few hours while I've got my caffeine rush.

I'll definitely try doing that. I have came to notice that when I finish a chapter I barely soak up any information.

I also find writing notes in the margins of a text about key points helps too. Repetition is important though too; at least I find that with regards to theory, I usually need to read a text more than once before it is retained in a really concrete way.

just take your time reading. You won't win any awards finishing a book faster than your friends.

Reading is generally boring. I suggest balancing the activity with other activities that are more interesting and setting reasonable consistent goals.

Thank you Mr Bookman

What problems do you have user? On days I don't have to work, I like to wake up, walk my dogs, do cardio if it's a cardio day, shower, shower, then eat. With this morning routine over I feel relaxed and ready to read. While this morning ritual may not work for you, I find the exertion to be tiring and after resting my mind is more focused, perhaps your issue is you try to jump straight into reading without mentally and physically preparing yourself.

I usually just try to read whenever I have some free time in class or at home. I really don't undergo rituals or prepare myself for reading so I guess that could be a problem.

It very well could be, I think the exhaustion exercise brings calms me down and enhances my ability to read. If I didn't run or lift and tried to read I'd be skittish and would waste time shitposting on Holla Forums or looking for bondage or cuckquean porn. I've attached a couple of easy reads for you as well, try a variation of what I recommended and then taking a crack at them.

Don't bother reading. Just ingest knowledge through memes. Like Holla Forums. That will lead to true contentment.

Don't. It is harmful.

Read with a friend!

...

Really tickles my pickle

what is this?

A book about intellectual emancipation: how everyone can learn anything, how they can teach themselves, how can you teach something you don't know, etc.

Take notes. Write in the margin of the books your read, or in a separate notebook or whatever. This is of course time intensive, but it's wortwhile. Reading a book is a waste of time if you can't remember it a few weeks later.

Just don't read anything. After a while you'll pick up the most popular buzzwords and catchphrases, at which point no one will be able to tell you apart from the other posters here.

funny and true as that is OP asked about how to read, not how to fit in Holla Forums

I don't have any friends

nice shitposts

Find people that actually like Autists then.

what difficulties do you have with reading first of all?

Ok I'll try

I have horrible reading composition and i don't prepare myself for reading according to one user

I'll be your friend comrade

Let's be best friends comrade

Reading is only harmful for leftcoms.

Well, take your time, reading is not a competition. One thing I'm doing right now is after reading/taking notes of a chapter/book I transcribe all important sections and ideas to a digital format and put some commentary and relations to concrete things, thus creating in the end a bank of references and ideas.

>cuckquean porn
mein gott, I didn't know I needed that

It's some seriously good shit user. There's just something about seeing a cuckcake getting stuffed and the cuckquean licking out the baby batter.

It's just some gross male power fantasy
