There were very good things (for the time) and very bad things about Weimar Germany.

Fuck off, Weimar Germany was a repulsive shell of a country where 10 year old girls (and their mothers too, at the same time with the same clients, for an extra fee) prostituted themselves for food, homosexual rape gangs terrorized Berlin, bestiality bars where people ate the animals they fucked were trendy among the upper classes that could afford it, and the inflation was worse than Venezuela and Zimbabwe combined.

It had to be put down by Hitler. Communists wanted to push the limits even more through sexual bolshevism.

Doesn't change that the deals made by the Weimer Republic made Germany overly reliable on other countries. Germany was the country that was hit the hardest by the Great Depression until Hitler took over, which is why you don't often hear about it (they only had to deal with for a very short time). They would have had more poverty and unemployment than the US, which in itself would be quite impressive. More crucially, there would have been no way to get rid of this depression. It was WWII which created the opportunity for massive government spending for everyone country involved, which build a solid foundation for the economy to bounce back on. Saying that they eventually would bounce back is wrong too. They lived in an ideological bubble. Capitalist countries thought that the best answer to a depression was doing absolutely nothing and let the invisible hand fix the economy. Which meant that the western Great Depression might have lasted even longer without Hitler to spice things up. Hitler effectively cured capitalism of its worst depression in history, and maybe even saved capitalism altogether. No doubt that a 10-20 year depression could have built the perfect conditions for a Soviet expansion in Europe and socialist formations in America.

By 27 April 1933 the Labour Minister Franz Seldte was able to announce that the number of jobless had fallen by over half a million. Some of this was doubtless the result of seasonal factors as employment picked up after the winter slump. It is doubtful that their plans would have been enough. Other countries tried the same, however, ended up failing. They saw small recovery, which then dropped again. This was because governments were not totally committed. overcoming the great depression required more than just some simple government spending. It required an entire war to overcome. Otherwise, the US would have seen improvement during the late 1930's as well. The pressure of businesses and the ideological idea that regulating markets are bad was still present in their contemporary ideology. The US would never have had to audacity to create fully state created monopolies. Only the war effort changed this. When I wrote that Hitler saved capitalism. It was that Hitler's policies created the inevitability of war, which was required to get the US out of their economic slump.
