Economic growth and sustainability

So this physics professor has wrote some stuff about sustainability of economic growth under capitalism. He's a liberal boomer but don't write this off he has some good points. Besides he raises chickens in his free time though he should write in his blog more

tldr:
economic growth requires more energy production
no kind of energy production or transmission is 100% efficient, there is always waste heat
economic growth means more energy produced and more waste heat
assuming that:
1. capitalism doesn't shit itself
2. climate change does not exist (just for the sake of argument)
3. we can produce energy forever without running out of resources
4. the world economy grows at a modest 2.3% per year indefinitely
result:
in 400 years the surface temperature of the earth will be 100 C due to waste heat from energy production (not from the sun, not from global warming, just from human economic activity)
and just for fun at 2.3% growth rate, human energy production would exceed the energy output of the sun in 1400 years resulting in the earths surface being hotter than the suns surface
therefore indefinite growth is not possible even if we ignore all the other problems we face today

Given the Marx says growth is necessary under capitalism, the obvious conclusion is that capitalism must end. Too bad he's a liberal who is afraid of saying socialism, instead he advocates for "steady-state economy". How does leftypol deal with the question of growth. David Harvey says some places in the world still require growth while others need degrowth. A world revolution must take these topics into account.

Another related issue is what kind of energy generation method is adopted. For an exponentially growing economy I can only see nuclear (fission) as an option since it is more energy dense than fossil fuels, solar, and wind. I don't think capitalism can grow for much longer without wide spread use of nuclear power. Ironically this makes anti-nuclear hippies /ourguys/. A socialist world that has come to terms with the limits of growth can better plan energy use and solar+wind with some nuclear might be enough. For the sake of argument assume nuclear fusion remains a meme and that no physics defying method of pumping heat away form the earth is discovered (it's probably impossible).

I think I'll start riling up the disadvantaged to steal his chickens for me. Bwahahahaaa.

Hilarious.

wasn't bobby fischer jewish?

...

How's the Assad assassination going? What's taking so long?

I think you know his mother was jewish, rabbi. Being only partly jewish is why he accomplished something other than collecting interest or welfare.

I don't know, ask Trump.

Lenin never said that. Want an actual Quote? Lavr Kornilov was a general in the White Army, and committed terrorist atrocities to try and reestablish the capitalist order, he said "We must save Russia …. even if we have to set fire to half the country and shed the blood of 3/4ths of all russians" I think the author of that fraudulent quote was inspired by this.

Stop smoking weed and stuffing your ass with your mom's dildos.

5 cointelpro posts and 2 suckers who took the bait. mods fucking where

He said Assad's doing great and so is his wife who is not under investigation for being a jew.

Generals in Venezuela are probably thinking the same thing.

This looks like a good way convince liberals to be more anti capitalist. Should make it into info graphic.

The argument depends on what economic growth is. If we think of growth in terms of physical output, producing twice as much of everything means the economy has doubled in size, physically speaking. But is economic growth really measured like that? If you have a measurement of value that does tell you that the economy's size has doubled in size in that case, that doesn't yet prove that this physical way is the only way an economy can grow by that measure you use.

assad's wife is significantly hotter than trumps.

"Economy" is a spook, it doesn't truly represent physical objects or "value".

So he's an ML and doesn't realize it?

I though MLs were all about growth and meeting quotas

I'm seriously struggling to understand what this is even supposed to mean
Not even posadas could conceive of this glory

I'm waiting for thermodynamics to be accused of being a communist plot to destroy the free market with arbitrary limitations.
