This meme really needs to stop. Strässerism is not socialism. It did take its "social justice" bent more seriously than the cynical Hitlerite political machine but that doesn't magically make it socialist.
The Strässer brothers and their ilk were not concerned with private property, commodity production, class struggle, wage labor, etc. At best they wanted to break up large estates and partially redistribute wealth, and that's it. Strässerist theory even makes a distinction between "productive" capital (associated with industry and native Germans) and "parasitic" capital (associated with finance and alien Jews), which any serious socialist will instantly recognize as class-collaborationist claptrap.
The "second revolution" they so often mentioned actually had less to do with economics proper than with replacing the old conservative elites of the German state with rank-and-file Nazi militants. There is no indication that their politics were significantly different from that of the more "conventional" elements of the NSDAP — after all, they were from the very beginning of their involvement in politics associated with the violent anti-communism of Freikorps paramilitaries and the blood-and-soil racism of völkisch sects.
Strässerists are not our comrades, they're NutSac entryists and as much our sworn enemies as liberal idpolers.
strasser*sm is basically just suc-dem economic policy but with ultra-nationalism and racialism mixed in
Alexander Gonzalez
… And without the "democracy", I shall add.
Joshua Garcia
I'm actually reading Germany tommorow rn and it's nothing like I thought it would be. He was definitely a lefty. I'm halfway through it rn and I would honest recommend it to everyone. I can try to answer some questions about it if you guys have any
Jaxson Williams
Actually he was a huge advocate of local democracy. In the first part of Germany Tommorow he lays out his idea for a german Confederation that would come to power when the axis falls and it's composed of highly autonomous geographic/cultural regions that govern themselves through democratic means
Hunter Miller
My good man, May I ask what "NutSac" means? Is its the same as not socialism?
Alexander Phillips
I agree OP, straßerist sympathies shouldn't be allowed here tbh. I'd classify him as a utopian socialist at best.
it's an abbreviation
alright, give us some good quotes
Michael Barnes
On what particular subject? On his advocation on the destruction of prussian militarism and junkers industrialism? On his ideas for a European Confederation? On his respect for the communist resistance against Hitler and how he was against the Soviet-German pact because he felt it only drew communists in Germany closer to Nazism through the creation of beefsteak nazis?
The book covers a variety of topics. Give me a subject and I can try to explain his veiw on it.
Hunter Cooper
They're not, and it's strongly recommended that you report the ones you come across. Nazbols too.
Hudson Watson
To replace it with SA thuggery?
To replace it with republican industrialism?
Many fascists shared pan-European nationalism.
Landon Adams
I forgot NätSoc (Nätional-Socialist aka Nazi) is world-filtered to NutSac, sorry about that.
Cooper Phillips
So far he has not touched on the Sturmabeiltung other than his newfound hatred of them as being the profiteers of the Reich alongside the gestapo and SS but his qualms against Prussia to him largley stem from the prussian nobilities disconnect with the citizens of Germany. He brings up how he feels post war Germany’s failures in demilitarization, diplomacy, political instability, and rise of hitler all stem from the failure to destory prussia as a political, geographic, and social idea. He sees Prussia society as representing every flaw in German culture. He sees their obsession with military glory as nothing more than a recipe for disaster. He advocates for a massive cut in the German military as a way to keep peace and destroy Prussian aggression.
He hates mass industry in general. He wrote on how all mass industry, landowners, and investors are the result of Prussian politics and economic interests.
That is true. His idea of Confederation was more of a cooperative movement than a pan volkisch movement he feels that the petty differances between European nations are pointless as he feels that they do nothing more than create reasons for conflict. He also said that after thousands of yesrs of western history Europe, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia etc were simply extensions of Western culture. He hates the idea that a Frenchman and a German would look at each other not as a people who share a common history and future but as distant people seperated by borders that don't reflect language, regional history, and ideas.
Caleb Reyes
Im a dirigist btw
Luke Rodriguez
When was this written? Sounds like Otto departed from his brother's Nazism at some point. The amount of anti-Prussianism is weird though; could it have anything to do with Bavarian nationalism? He was from Bavaria.
Brody Morris
I believe it was written in 1940. I think his Bavarian orgins had a good amount to do with it but I think most of it is pure hatred for what he sees as internal imperialism by a culture/political force that wants only military and economic dominance
Jonathan Butler
Such a distinction is arbitrary and artificial; it assumes the two are discrete, unrelated entities and that you can salvage the "good bits" of capitalism from its decaying corpse.
As opposed to "non-predatory" business ownership and landowning? :^)
"Sectarian" has mutated into an epithet designed to browbeat people who disagree with you into accepting your own views as the rightful vision deserving of unquestioned hegemony.
Fuck off black to Holla Forums. NazBols should be banned on sight.
Blake Green
In 1940, uh. Maybe the start of the war made him change his mind about certain things? Does he make any reference to it in the book?
Chase Reyes
He hates the war. He sees it as pointless bloodshead and a act of German imperialism against the rest of Europe. He laments at how German kids are going to die for the war machine and how the innocent Poles and Czechs are slaughtered simply to satisfy the German elites.
Jaxon Martinez
Then why the hell did he ever join the NSDAP? They were quite open about the Lebensraum and Drang nach Osten policies they were quick to enact once in power. It makes no sense to join a party of war-mongering, Jew-baiting thugs if you think of yourself as an anti-racist pacifist.
Easton Stewart
Basically he was a SPD member for a while but didn't see it going anywhere. He took part in the resistance against the Kapp putsch but after that he saw the SPD as being too reformist. He ended up joining a splinter faction of the SPD that advocated for the complete overthrow of the German govenrment and to replace it with a workers government. Around this time he met a Communist named Grigory Zinoviev who shared simliar interests with him. After going to a shit ton of meetings of conservatives, socialists, nationalists, communists he became staunchly set in his ideas that would cause conflict within NSDAP .His brother was like hey come check out this Not SocialisT party and Otto was like why not. Otto hated a lot of people and didn't agree with a lot of NSDAPs plans but he was so ingrained into through his brother he felt it wouod be better to try and fix NSDAP. He ended up stsrting a lot of shit when he began criticizing NSDAPs anti semitism, support for private property, and it's lack of support for striking German workers. He also was against their privitization of the banks and factories, he wanted them to be run by democraticly elected managers who were voted in through councils of veteran workers of a certain trade.
In 1930 the trade Unions in Saxony went on strike and Otto came out in full suppprt and it pissed the fuck out of NSDAP
Michael Davis
lol assblasted, and a chinese cartoon hue
oh you poor poor thing, never has "the forest for the trees" saying been more applicable, you could phrase it like that but only because the one is so much fucking larger than the other, the sad reality is that fradulent toxic derivatives dwarf the entire global economy a thousand fold, you think some fucking cocksucker that owns a big slice of a multinational is rich? hes a fucking peon compared to the bankster scum that run the goddamned world. You have no idea how much these crooks have siphoned off for how long, they are the true kings of the castle, capitalism is shit but it is not the overarching system upon which this fucked up world runs, this world runs on predatory finance and it has become infinitely worse since glass-steagal was killed dead, everything is corrupted by this and everything ties into this, the wars, the global narcotics trade, rampant poverty, deindustrialisation, the slowkill of the 3rd world, population control, etc p.p ad nauseum
I dont even have to address your other "points" because they stem from your misunderstanding of just bad this problem is. Marx kind of understood it but barely, also there was no way he could have comprehended shit like microwave HFTs and the like, we are so fucked if we dont start removing bankers fast, communism or even socialism will be impossible until these people are defeated or the fradulent financial system inevitably collapses, the problem is that these fucking psychopathic game theory obsessed banksters are willing to start a thermonuclear war to keep that from happening
this infograph is extremely old by the way, global estimate of derivatives atm is at least 1.8 quadrillion based on a study from few years ago, probably 2 quadrillion at this point, do you have any fucking idea how much "money" that is? google it
chinese leftist org wrote a piece about marx and finance recently cant find it right now
Joshua Evans
lol talk about being fundamentally opposed to the very essence of nazism
wtf I hate st-rasserists now
keep posting homie you obv know your shit, i read a lot about them but its been awhile, have you ever read Preparata? It provided me with some very interesting overarching context
Tyler Price
I've never heard of Preparata. Care to explain
Nathaniel Allen
Provide evidence that this is somehow special, distinct from or unrelated to capitalism as a whole. Why should we refrain from criticizing so-called "productive" capitalism just because "parasitic" capitalism is supposedly worse?
Owen Rogers
Why the hell is there such a thing as "Strässerism" then? In what way does his ideology differs from the German Left of the time? Why are so many contemporary Strässerites almost invariably antisemites?
Matthew Brown
Tbh they think it makes them edgy. I've chatted with a few Asserists but they don't know shit about Asser. They just think it's non anti semitic nazism. If you asked them what they thought about the seizure of private property they would call you a commie wven Asser was highly against private property
Jaxson Jenkins
Preparata is(was?) prof at washington state, he wrote "conjuring hitler" in like 07 which is mainly about the heavy financial ties and backhanded deals that funded hitler and the agentry that helped him into power, its a fascinating book and well sourced, much better than "wall street and hitler" although hes a little autistic and likes big words
theres a bit in there on str-asser and mainly georgs death, he kind of implies that kristallnacht was almost entirely about purging the St-rasser brothers and that Röhm was almost irrelevant
well worth a read imo, its kind of a seminal book for a lot of unironic nazbols despite basically claiming both Naz and Bol were controlled opposition
this should be the whole thing if yer interested, its not loading for me:
This book looks fishy as fuck. The author has no credentials in history (he's a professor of economy) and the publishing house mostly deal with crass antisemitic conspiracy theories (solargeneral.org).
Lucas Thompson
lol retard, its not a meme, last estimate came from the Bank of International Settlements so basically from the crocodiles mouth, this is a globalresearch article they can be a little ifffy sometimes but theres plenty of threads here you can look up if you actually do that kind of thing instead of braying like a donkey at your boogeyman off choice:
again dont get me wrong, capitalism is and will probably always be fundamentally shit, but it is the underlying mechanism of control, the unipolar order that we all live under runs on finance and almost all of our problems stem from this, if you want to know why a semi-socialist country like venezuela is doomed to fail under present conditions you will have to look at this kind of nasty shit, they could literally do everything right and the banksters would still find a way to stab them in the back which is exactly what is happening right now as far as i cant tell
Oliver Gonzalez
umm, the book is about economics first and foremost how do you think you prop up a reactionary force within a host nation, with nice words and Kuchen?
are you seriously shouting jew hater and trying to shoot the medium? Have you considered that nobody would fucking touch this thing otherwise? Ive read it, theres nothing in there about jews, he doesnt equate bankers with jews you propagandised nitwit, the only bit in there that could loosely be equated to jews is that he begins with saying he will not delve into the undeniable crimes of the nazis because it would distract from the core thesis and that the entire war was by definition a holocaust of epic proportions.
Later he does touch on hitlers mad extermination in the east, the black legions etc so no this is not an "anti-semitic" book by any means and it sure as fuck is not apologist
Christian Turner
no problem dude and you keep postan about Assers, you arent semi-nazdoctrinated like me so you seem like the right guy for the job
the shit about gold and currency manipulation can be a real pain in the cunt to read, hes not that good stylistically imo, if you have mild ADD like me id suggest skipping around a bit or only reading in small chunks
Nolan Cook
also thats not the publishing house i think its plutobooks, i have it physical somewhere I guess they just uploaded it:
oh god yes definitely, I also had to pull up a dictionary more often than id like to admit, its not too bad though, really do wish it was more accessible but youll be fine
William Ward
Violently sperging out doesn't make you more convincing, it just makes your lack of theory apparent. Keep whining about "muh banksters" while ignoring pretty much everything else about capitalism.
Lincoln Young
yah huh, sure buddy. Im trying to fire facts and sources at you but im the one lacking in muh theoryi am dont get me wrong but ive got some
Are you the chinese cartoon guy from above? be honest. So far you really have not said much other than getting huffy and praying to some kind of mod god that i should be b& because of my silly flag
I was a bit of a cunt above but i got a reaction out of you and it permitted me to bang on about the topic that makes me itch. To top it off I agree, capitalism, especially on a global scale, is really fuckin shit. Ive lived stateside. I try not to be western-centric but my point stands, some robber baron capitalist is very much part of and profitting from the system but he is not really calling the shots, and the crimes perpetrated by the financial class eclipse even the horrors perpetrated by some awful corp like Coke, or Nike, or even a tentacled monster like Monsanto. It makes it all possible in many ways, the two go hand in hand but the one stands so far above the other that there is absolutely no denying what the present global system is
you say I am ignoring every other facet of capitalism. Well, name one, and I will attempt to tie it into what im saying.
Im seeing a lot of wishy-washy from you, you seem like the kind of guy that says things like "we just need to achieve global communism" without going into how the hell we are supposed to do that, and im telling you there is no hope for such a thing until we end shit like the IMF, the city of london, and wall street. There is also no hope for a single country to seperate itself from the morast(recent case in point venezuela)
These predators know that they can not permit any kind of successful socialism that goes beyond say, the basic social security net you get in most western european countries. Even that makes them foam at the mouth and they do everything they can to undermine it, slowly but often successfully. anything that will improve the plight of man is a fundamental threat to them, the size of the global population is a threat, they need us to be few, and wretched
the third world is enslaved through finance. standard of living is declining globally because of finance. hypercapitalism is in many ways only possible because of finance
Joshua Stewart
It's almost like we need to end capitalism.
Robert Harris
are you a little slow? do you think the IMF abides by "the market", fixed or otherwise? is that really all you have to say? what about all that theory?
whatever dude. Its brewski time, I did my 3%
Nolan Sanchez
What theory? International capital subverting countries who fall out of step with the status quo isn't really a revelation.
Evan Ramirez
Nazbols should be banned on sight tbh.
Carson Gutierrez
is it available online? I've wanted to read out of curiosity for a while now.
Asher Nelson
Not that I know of Amazon has it for like 25 buck tho
Justin Roberts
This was a really great thread. Thank you so much for posting today and I am very sorry that you are going to get banned.
