ITT: Non-Rock Anti-Capitalist Music Thread

We can all name bout 10 punk bands that make music with strong anti-capitalist messages off hand, but how many artists in other music genres that make leftist songs? Introducing…

"The Coup", a Funk/Hiphop group that sings/raps songs bout sending the bourgeoisie to the guillotine, killing CEOs and calling out fence sitting liberals.

Couple of their songs:

Come on, comrades! We've gotta diversify our taste in porky killing, means of production seizing, wealth distributing commie music!

Sidenote: Just had a wank for the first time in 4 months and I almost passed out from blood loss. Jesus Christ, I'm in a semi-comatosed state…10/10 Would NoFap again.

The pop group and Gang of four are two groups that have a lot of anti-capitalist stuff in their song. Both are post-punk

I think you might be doing it wrong my man

On topic I guess Killer Mike - Reagan, and Cunts are still running the world are pretty good. Depending on how strictly you define leftism you can include plenty of 80s anti capitalist new wave

So Rock? Rock music.

Afroplasm confirmed woman.

There's @Peace's "Be Like". 2000s hip hop, I guess?

I only know socialist folk songs

Dead Prez - Lets Get Free is the only leftist music that doesn't make me cringe tbh

...

Phil Ochs. That he hasn't been mentioned yet just shows how far Holla Forums has fallen.

Jesus Christ using Internet Explorer and saving shit in temp files

fuck yeah funk.

Killer Mike is an unbelievably bad raper, but I cant stop listening to Run the Jewels because the beats are so hard.

sage for stupid thread

btw afroplasm read dorner's manifesto if you haven't, or at least listen to the audiobook in YT.

Hiphop snobs get the bullet too.

I get Bob Dylan vibes from him.

Which one? *The* Chris "Can't Corner The Dorner"?

obviously. It talks about corrupt KKK/white supremacist cops in California that probably still hold positions of power.
Your sis might be interested, idk.

I saw The Coup live on a small festival in Sweden a few years back. The guitarist or the bassist (don't remember) wore a "Free Joel" t-shirt. Joel refers to a guy who is in prison for stabbing a nazi when a gang of them attacked a lefty demonstration a few years back. International solidarity is good :)

Godspeed You! Black Emperor is a post-rock/drone group that have stated before that they're anarchists, but with their newest album they are putting the political message right on the track titles.
