Has anyone ever noticed how Courage the Cowardly Dog is a nightmarish cartoon allegory telling a story of communism vs. liberalism vs. capitalism? And there's a bit of psychoanalysis thrown in too.

Courage is the representation of communism, Muriel represents liberalism and Eustace represents a petty bourgeois capitalist. We always see Eustace being tricked into an evil plot for money or free shit by some horrible wealthy person wearing a suit and tie, or someone in the military, or TV commercials.

Muriel is always naive and blissfully unaware of all of the degenerate evil and greed happening around her and just goes along with it until late in the episode. Courage is always the one who notices first, and takes the initiative against the evil and saves Muriel from the capitalist exploitation.

Go on

Yeah, I noticed the same thing in Harry Potter.

It's amazing the depth it has.

I'm seeing what you're doing here but it's very different.

OK!

Episodes often feature themes of childhood trauma, hypnosis, re-education, slavery and exploitation of the environment.

Stereotypical human characters are used as supporting cast. There's a suit and tie Porky man, an alternative medicine racial stereotype that rips people off (and Courage is the only skeptic), these two military buffoons who are always looking for ways to kill each other (and to destroy the world) and an evil talking cat who always happens to be running some sort of business that lures people in and murders them.

Isnt JK Rowling a neoliberal, though?

It's less of an allegory and more of the fact there are only about a dozen or so scenarios and stories society is limited to, so its inevitable you'll see patterns and similar allegory when looking at any stories, fiction or nonfiction.

You know communism has been tried before, right?

you don't try communism, you try to achieve it.

The fuck you on about?

Not many other cartoons feature money and greed in such a nightmarish way so constantly. Rocko's Modern Life did it a lot. They're pretty similar, what with all the body horror and characters getting splattered. It's pretty psychological in its use of gore when Courage literally screams his guts out.

Power puff girls is the ultimate allegory of Communism vs capitalism, and I'll explain why as briefly as possible. First off Blossom is represented by the color RED, let that sink in for a minute. She is the ultimate arbitrator of equality amongs her 2 sisters that represent factions that support capitalism. In season 4 episode 3 if you pause exactly at 14:03, and apply a defusing filter of appropriately 0.4 milliseconds than adjust the X to Y axis along the RBG coordinates 36,73,12 and v-sync for stability you can CLEARY see the quote "The bourgeoisie, wherever it has got the upper hand, has put an end to all feudal, patriarchal, idyllic relations." from The Communist manifesto written in size 15 Ariel font. I took a screenshot of these and forwarded them to my friend who works as a private forensic investigation, and he confirmed that encoded through a RAR archive in the original file format that was aired on Cartoon Network in July 5th, 2005, was infancy multiple encoded binary tables that if ran through a UTorrent reveals a cut 10 minutes of a list episode from 2003 that was originally meant to be the pilot, in which Blossom clearly states "Hey, the people of Townsville have to work, whilst the rich get all the money."

:^)

Lol u crazy

I'll fire up UTorrent, and see if I see anything.

the simpsons (the old one) was the most socialist cartoon ever and you just can't deny it

OP BTFO

Its been a while since I read it, but Order of the Pheonix seemed like it had some fairly leftist themes. You had the establishment-ie Fudge and Umbridge, who refused to acknowledge the threat of Voldemort, and just want to maintain the status quo. Harry and co. respond by forming a revolutionary group to prepare and fight against voldemort, which the establishment seek to suppress. There might be some meaning in how Voldemort makes his appearance in the Ministry of Magic too

No, that would be The Rugrats

Courage the Cowardly Dog is definitely not a shallow cartoon by any stretch.

I- Is there an album of screencaps like this?

Please?
