Anyone here became a socialist after being a conservative?

And for how long were you a conservative?

Christian minarchist flirting with ancap count?

Are you still Christian?

My political progression

Apolitical: 0-10
Anarchist: 11-13
Cookie-cutter liberal: 14-15
Anarcho-capitalist: 16-17
Anarchist: 19
Unaffiliated socialist: 20-21
Trot: 21-present

Should read:

Anarchist: 18-19

No

I wasn't really a conservative as much as I was completely "separate from politics" but still peddled the "LOL DOESN'T WORK XDDDDD", "ar u TRIGGGGERD HAHAHAH" and the "LOL LEFTIEZ R PHAT HAHAHAH" memes. This lasted for a year or something.

Why? Did it have anything to do with socialism?

Minarchism still makes more sense than Anarcho Capitalism tho.

lol the fuck how were you an anarchist at age 11

I honestly just wanted to be more like Ron Paul, that was seriously a major reason I was a Christian not even kidding.

Socialism and liberalism don't even have to be mutually exclusive, especially in market socialism

I've always been a nerdy kid who reads a lot of political philosophy and history.

kill yourself ":DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Nice argument there

Apolitical -> Nationalist -> Succdem/Demsucc -> Stalinist -> Anarchist -> Communist

Don't flirt with an-caps. This will prevent you from making mentally deficient offspring.

9/11 made me a socialist

I lost my virginity to an ancap prostitute, worst sex ever

I would argue it doesn't, actually. I think it comes with a contradiction which ancap does not: "all government is bad, capitalism can fix our problems" but then they turn around and say "capitalism can't fix the problem of defense, courts, policing without turning into a clusterfuck so we need a small state". So if capitalism can't provide me with protection, why should I believe capitalism can provide me with proper healthcare, muh roads, etc.?

Unless you meant that it makes more practical sense, in which case I agree with you, but as an ideology it comes with extra contradictions.

probably means he didn't want to be told when bed time was

I believe in god and fatherland until i was 11 year old.

generic liberal>> anti sjw edgelord liberal>> situationist leftcom >>>clinical depression, Nick Land and Baudrillard

My political views have gradually shifted to the left the older I've got, which I suppose is the reverse of a lot of people. In my early-teens, I wasn't particularly political but I suppose the positions I did have were fairly conservative: I was against gay marriage and abortion for religious reasons; I thought reducing social security would significantly increase employment; I was a hardline prescriptivist edgetard linguistically etc.

Around 16 or so I actually became interested in politics. I'm from a working class family and they had some smart stuff about class and I read a lot of Orwell and started thinking of myself as a moderate liberal and gradually as I learned more about economics than just the basics and read more theory my views have been moving slowly left ever since.

...

"Leftist" liberal => "libertarian" => actual, i.e. leftist, libertarian

My political progression

I have effectively come full circle

...

anarchocapitalist (when I was 14-15) => liberal => social liberal (17-18) => social democrat (21-22) => mutualist => anarchist communist (24-25 till now, 29)

i'm here all night

...

Chomsky was an anarchist by that age.

I know it's hard for someone like you to understand, but some people are actually smart and had read books by the time they were 11.

Why you're Trot, do you beleive what's Trots are saying about Machnovists movement and Kronstadt rebelion?

I think Trotsky was mostly correct about Makhno (in the sense that what Makhno was doing was mostly banditry and could not be considered socialist in any real sense; I'm not particularly opposed to anarchist projects coexisting with Marxist projects, though), but I think Krondstadt was a huge mistake on his part. He himself probably thought so later in his life, but he was notoriously narcissistic and stubborn and refused to admit when he was wrong about something.

Like, I don't know, expropriating the ataman Grigoriev and his band of thiefs?
Bolsheviki were much worse than anarchist bands, even if some baniditry was included especially in Nikiforovna's activity
(strongly disliked by Makhno himself and constantly rescued by her friend, Bolshevik Antonov-Ovseyenko) in this movement it was generally far less oppressive to people than Bolshevik order.

yeah, people that aren't Chomsky

The Bolsheviks, regardless of their many mistakes, were overwhelmingly supported by the soviets and all organized production BY the soviets was done under the authority of the Bolsheviks. Makhno derived authority from no one but himself, made and enforced all the "rules" that governed his territory, consistently prefer expropriation to production, and generally was a dick about everything for no particular reason. He was actively trying to make the soviet project fail, and was thus an unwitting stooge of international capital.

Oh, I'm sorry, did you recently come out with a revolutionary linguistics theory? I'd love to hear it.

0-5 apolitical
6-18 George Bush conservative
18-24 Ronald Paul
24 Bernout
27- Leftcom with ML sympathies.

Yes, if you create electoral list with only members of your party, you'll get a lot of support indeed. ;_;

Soviets were dismissed by Bolsheviks, despite rebellion and opposition of anarchists and left-SRs, together with social democrats. Have you read Voline, ever?

His authority came from support of Ukrainian people strongly rooted in local national traditions and sentiments. To this day Ukrainian anarchists and not only them are mentioning him well and praise him. He was seen as romantic leader of the people, and had modest and forgiving, androgynous personality.

Kek, but finally it was Trotsky that killed soviets, together with Kronstad sailors.

Started as a liberal, then became progressive, then succdem, then mutualist, and now I'm an ancom

My political progression:
