Did you vote for him?

Do tou think he'll be a presidential candidate in 2020?

Yes
No

Not an american but he was one of the few american politicians with heart in the right place. Too bad he wasn't confident enough to stay true to his powerlevel till the end. Can't blame him though, america is such a cancerous country for a socialist to campaign in.

I wanna clarify I don't consider Bernie as socialist, more like an old-school type of socdem, which is a grade higher from run-of-the-mill neolibs, but I'd definitely call Bernie a left winger.

I don't vote ever.

Unlikely.

I actually kind of liked him at first. I stopped when pic related happened; I think it's indicative of a weak will.
also, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't one of the leaked e-mails show that he never actually intended to become president but to instead rally the popular support toward Clinton?

Just in the primary.
Doubt it but he'll probably be in good enough shape for it. I'm starting to think the US will collapse before then tbh.

No. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to politics before Trump won the Primary. I had become so disillusioned with politics that I completely ignored the subject.

Bernie is 75 years old. I don't want him to run in 2020, but if he does and there are no better alternatives then I'll absolutely vote for him then. If he doesn't run and there aren't any good alternative candidates then I'm not voting at all in 2020.

No
Yes

Not a registered Dem, so no
Maybe, on a ticket with Booker, Zuckerberg, et al. Bernie isn't all he's cracked up to be, I don't see how he's that different from previous failed Dems like Muskie or McGovern

No, but I think he will lead his efforts to someone running. Look at who "Our Revolution" are praising, it will be them.

Also, I still want Jimmy Dore to run in 2020: by contesting ALL POSSIBLE PRIMARIES.

GANG

Yes. Primary & General.

Nope.

He's old enough.

He's got the wit and charm.

He knows how to read and work a crowd.

And he has a fucking message that makes sense to anyone that hears it.

Mein gott, can you imagine Jimmy 'Arm the Poor' Dore in a primary debate with whatever wax figures the democratic establishment rolls up on stage?

Seriously, this guy would have Tim Kaine and Joe Biden cutting their wrists in the bathroom after a debate.

Tbh this should be leftypol's next project: Operation President Dore.

The thought of a 20,000+ crowd chanting "ARM THE POOR!" in unison gets me so fucking erect

"We need a revolution, I'm not even kidding".

Jimmy Dore 2020, tbh I am half tempted to write an email suggesting he run.

No.

hnnnng

I think if a lot of people were to encourage him to run (or at least get involved politically), he'll most likely consider it. Like what was already said, he's a true outsider, charismatic as hell, and knows what he's talking about. Not to mention he's more than willing to throw shit at both parties, and that'll surely speak volume to a lot of people.

Holy fuck kill yourselves. Dore is a comedian- at least Trump already had connections with powerful political families and banking interests before he launched his campaign. Jimmy is literally whomst tier.

If he interrupted them he would have gotten crucified, idiot. He was smart for standing back, it shows a strong will.

I didn't vote for him because I was an establishment Democrat back then who voted for the Witch. I think he's gotten too old to run in 2020 though.

Dore doesn't need to win the presidential election. It's just that it's a great "bully pulpit," where he can get a message out. Bernie didn't even win the primaries and he already changed up the way people talk about politics in the US.

...

...

not really, it kind of makes him look like a total pussy. and I consider myself a Bernie supporter.

Voted for him in the primary. Originally planned to vote for Stein in the general but ended up not voting at all.

I don't think he'll run in 2020. I think he'll back some "progressive" corporate dem.

Meanwhile Chapo Trap House/DSA will sheepdog all of the new socialists to the democratic party while calling everyone on the true left tankies and trots.

Our country is so fucked

Is the DNC still corrupt? Doubt it

Yes.
I hope.

...

Yes.

Maybe, but he's too old and there's probably going to be a bunch of better choices to vote for when 2020 rolls around. Is the Clinton still trying to run again?

Can't this fucking zionist heap of shit just crawl into his sarcophagus already?

Honestly surprised by the amount of people who think he won't run in 2020. If I could put money on it now I'd bet he'd even win: most popular politician in the country, I believe, and doing loads of public events.

lmao

shit is fucked to an impossible degree. The only was you can fix America is for the executive branch to declare a state of emergency or martial law, declare people enemies of the state, and try to unfuck itself through what it can do then. I doubt Bernie would do that.

I wouldn't expect Bernie to get much done in such a gridlock.

If he's the democratic candidate then Trump will definitely win reelection.

Yes, and maybe. I certainly won't be helping the chickenshit again after he refused to confront targeted voter suppression and election fraud. If he's spineless enough to run as a Democrat again, and through his cult of personality kill movements towards building other parties the Greens (sorry this is the one it has to be), this country is completely fucked.

I would like to believe that the Overton window has been and continues to be shifted in such a way that Bernie may not even be Left enough to be palatable in 2020 like he was in 2016.

>vote for European or Canadian style '''socialism''''
Yeah, no. Literally as bad as the USA, maybe worse.

We're supporting actual liberals now?

Not cynical enough

You mean "Status Quo Normie" Mama

Yes in the primaries, voted Trump in the actual general to keep populism from being completely stamped out by Shillary.

Maybe. He's said again and again that he won't, but I'm confident he'd win in a landslide if he did. ALL of the new talent he's been cultivating in his stead are utter garbo, so I hope he'll turn around.

This was the moment I ran out of patience for Bernie. The inclusion of "pay gap" horseshit in his platform pissed me off, standing aside when the BLM racists kick him from his own podium made me roll my eyes, but letting Clinton walk all over him (WITH black-and-white proof of criminal misconduct flowing like honey from Wikileaks) was unforgivable.

Clinton and the DNC figuratively rigged the primary process in a number of clear ways, but I'm not talking about anything that was revealed by leaks. I'm talking about literal targeted voter suppression in states like Arizona, New York, and California–people being switched to parties they never registered as and forced to vote with provisional ballots, a fraction of which ever get counted. I'm talking about significant evidence for election fraud as indicated by exit polls and Clinton's unaccountable success in certain large districts.

Bourgeois democracy was always a system of legalized bribery where the people who appropriate surplus value get to use that value to elect who runs the government. But even after a socialist revolution, we could never have real democracy when shit that went down on voting days during the 2016 Democratic Primary happens regularly and continues to go unchecked by spineless shitheels afraid of peeling the veil off people's eyes to upend a proud American tradition of election stealing.

Everything you described is typical, but having it happen alongside Wikileaks antics was like Jews denying the holocaust while secretly recorded staff meetings of Hitler's about the final solution were being publicly broadcast by every major news service.

There is no other word, that was cuckoldry on a scale beyond my imagination.

Liberal in a conservative state:

Donated & supported in primary; voted Trump primary & presidency. Disliked the corronation that H and Jeb! were receiving. Respected the outrageous attacks on the lobbyists / donor class from Trump.

Bernie didn't want to run in 2016 so I don't think 2020 is reasonable. His silence on the CNN coordination convinced me of the former. Age will be the factor in the later.
