Imagine Communism has been achieved. Real Communism. Moneyless, Classless, Strugless society.
How would your daily life be? Why do you wish a classless society in the first place? Do you not mind the leftypoler who has read the entire Das Kapital 10 times to be on same level as the beginner?
But the most important part: What would you do in a Communistic society? What would be daily life, point and purpose? Would you have to tear down pic related for being too "feudalistic"?
Replies apreciated.
Easton Rivera
I would probably use that castle to arrange wild dungeon synth and black metal gigs. Jokes aside I would probably continue working but in a less alienated way, and have more time and possibilities to spend on hobbies and fulfilling activities
Wyatt Foster
What would be fufilling activities in a society that sucessfully achieved communism?
Isaac Hernandez
For me it would be science, arts and philosophy. I guess other people would be fine with sitting around playing vidya all day
Liam Flores
this is a stupid thread and your questions seem like something a child would ask
Christian Adams
Can you imagine such a society defending itself sucessfully from an Imperialistic-Capitalistic in say, military invasion?
Arts or Science, which would be more important?
Thanks for replies so far, out of everything left I got, rarelly a despiction of a daily routine under communism
Jack Mitchell
Even capitalist entertainment can answer a question this dumb.
Adrian Gutierrez
nigger who the fuck do you think we are?
Brayden Johnson
That's propaganda, not an answer. Why does such a "dumb question" is so hard to give a reply to, speaks for itself.
You guys would get bored after 2 weeks in sucessful Communism and start to plan another revolution because that's where the fun is for you guys at.
Daniel Baker
I think the only way a classless society can work if it's completely global, there's no way any other nation state would allow a classless stateless society to flourish on their borders. So unless the revolution is global I don't see such a society being able to defend itself from rest of the world's powers Well I value arts higher, although I think art and science are closely related, since they're both results of the best aspects of human creativity and imagination
Ian Collins
I value Arts higher aswell. Science is interesting, but does not project the unconscious.
Dylan Thomas
Not everyone is as stupid as you are.
Charles Ramirez
>Text message tells me its my turn to clean the toilets in the park Not a bad day all in all
John Jones
calling other people stupid when pissed off is what I did in 8th grade. that gives you less credibility than posting MLP
Alright thanks for coherent reply
Owen Allen
I would probably kill myself
If I'm not engaging in wage labor to produce value for my boss then my life is just not worth living
Fucking retard.
Ryan Sanchez
I'm asking how would be a typical day for you under Sucessfully achieved Communism, not to have parroted the clichés of Surplus Value and Wage-Slavery.
That has analogy happened in France after they achieved a Republic in late 1700s. Result was Napoleon since only he could defeat the Monarchies and Aristocrats in battle.
Cooper Wood
You still don't get it do you? If true, full communism is achieved, there is no imperialistic-capitalistic nation left. Communism is a global system. Do we need to defend ourselves from…ourselves? That's kinda schizo, OP.
To answer to tour question: I would be designing graphics without being crushed by global competition through internet, and as a hobby I would be owning a falcon, which I could use to help people get rid of rodents and other pests. I would also enjoy some vidya and a joint from time to time.
Sounds better than struggling for money in an exploiting corporation taking away the surplus value you produce for the ruling class, just to survive, right?
It's not slavery if you have a choice to work and be exploited, but if the other choice is alienation and death, do we really have a choice? Welcome to modern slavery.
Evan Bennett
Exactly. Imagine Stalin being the ruler not of USSR, but of the World, and starting the Great Purges. Wow rude
Yes it does You don't, I agree.
Precisely. Modern or Old, in any form, slavery will find ways to re-appear in a sexed up format/content. This is a fallen world, or at least has tendency to be such.
Ryder Mitchell
I don't care what you did in whatever grade. You're stupid, and you need to be aware of that.
Colton Evans
Why are you so hostile? OP's question is perfectly legit and interesting as well. Why shouldn't we think about what we'll do in a classless society?
Isaac Roberts
If Stalin, or any other dictator, would be ruler of the world, it would not be true communism my friend. Communism doesn't have a 'leader', we would lead ourselves and let actual knowledgable people take decisions instead of law students who are using their position for money and power.
You really need to stay here and lurk until you really know the true vision of communism, just don't listen to nazbols and tankies.
Hudson Sanchez
why does OP insist on being a retard?
Jayden Thomas
I forgot to answer the last bit, slavery finds its way because a big part of the ruling class has been ruling for centuries. They are always ahead of regular people because of money and power, and thus can easily adapt to a new system to exploit it further. When people are finally equal, slavery will end.
And at that point we need to change our morals, starting at kindergarten. We teach people that psychopathic thinking is wrong and punishable. When someone tries to exploit it would need to be illegal and frowned upon, unlike today where it's normal.
This is why psychopaths are more likely to have a high position in society and companies, because they don't mind backstabbing for their own benefit. Do you want psychopaths to rule our world like today, or do you want psychopaths to work in camps to teach them a lesson? The choice is ours, we just need to work together.
Nathaniel Baker
That just sounds like a normal persons life except you're being made to clean toilets.
Aiden Garcia
How disappointing
Matthew Lewis
It's not. You can choose more freely what you want to do, as you're not bound to any wage. Unlike today, where a lot of people are wasting energy and working power to bullshit products/companies we don't need, just because they need the money. Stay focussed now.
William Cooper
...
Justin Gomez
Also, in capitalism there's controlled unemployment, in communism we would have maximum employment and thus more labor power, while, like I said in my previous post, 'bullshit jobs' would naturally disappear.
So:
Ryan Long
Humans are not capable of utopia. Communism will not fix every last issue you have, but there's no reason to not strive for something better.
Mason Hill
If it makes you any happier we might finally get flying cars
Michael Hall
That's the point. Even in best case scenario, a group of people from the classless society could develop insanity or any type of mental negativity where they could band to rule the rest, despite their childhood education.
The evil within would still be an issue.
I know, but what guarantee could you have that a classless society would be stable and could prevent a group of imperialist-minded people from trying to re-instate hierarchy and power system and thus enslaving the rest? Is there a fail safe mechanism for that?
Cooper Diaz
PS - said group of people originating from classless society, but changing/re-inventing ideology.
Slavery always finds a way to re-instate itself, under new different brands, more sexed up. I think on this there is agreement. Once a type of slavery becomes unaceptable, another one type of slavery becomes acceptable via big PR. (see: Modern wage slavery)
Jackson Ross
Less stress, less mandatory work, more time and resources to enjoy life. The ability to work on something that truly benefits humanity. See above
No?
General secretary Just kidding, program stuff, read philosophy, travel and raise a family with the knowledge that they wont grow up in a decertified hellscape with dead oceans and a runaway greenhouse effect. Work on the betterment of society. If anything I would like to maintain it and live in it. Castles are fucking cool. I would love to host medieval faires.
Brayden Clark
That seems accepteable I guess.
Brody Nguyen
most likely defending the society by fighting reactionaries and antirevolutionaries
Ryan Reed
Well, the problem today is that that little group of psychopaths is the ruling class, they have the power. Once they lose that power and the world is united against them, they will need to follow the orders of the majority or just go to prison as any other criminal. How can 1% of the population get in power of a united equal world? They would be like terrorists to us, and we will treat them as such.
Michael Roberts
Why does the unconscious have a priviledged position?
Until you notice that he actually works for a couple of hours only. Minimisation and elimination of Socially Necessary Labour Time is an aim of socialism - increased efficency directly leads to higher quality of life and the betterment of society, not a crisis of unemployment.
Spend as many hours a day as the present society would require of me as socially necessary labour. Since I'm not a very pracical person I would hope that analytics and theoretical writing would be deemed socially necessary. Outside of that - write, read, play vidya, socialise, travel around the world as much as I can, discuss the complexities of the world and human condition with all kinds of people.
Because classes are unjust, anti-meritocratic hierarchies that have to be eliminated for the efficent functioning of human societies.
In society at large, no. On the board in terms of board quality, yes.
What? I'm not that taken by the spook of 'historical artefacts' anymore but what's the point of wanton destruction? Feodalism wasn't bad because of the architechture, lul.

The "how" is difficult, but Human History proves this to be the most likely and frequent outcome.
Jaxson Hall
Oh, guess I better give up then.
Brayden Cox
When you were a kid, you were always passionate about something. For me it was astronomy. But I was never rich enough to enter the prestige schools and be recognised as one, let afford to buy a telescope. Instead of wasting my time watching TV and on social networks, I self-taught myself mathematics, physics, chemistry and geology to get a better understanding of our planets.
Angel Miller
China, Persia and Baghdad had fertile developing civilizations and they were razed to ground by Ghengis Khan.
His origin was from a pre-feudal society, let alone to be on the level of China, that already had mailing system and printer before the XV century.
But point is, Ghengis Khan won, and came from the humblest point possible, and destroyed societies that were sucessful.
Jayden Morris
Guess we better give up then. If everything goes to shit anyway we might as well not try and just give up immediately.
Gavin Brooks
My point is that there's no fail safe against this type of dangers. Evil from within is very real.
Eli Hughes
Yea, we better give up, nothing is guaranteed. You might get hit by lightning tomorrow so you might as well kill yourself right now and save you the trouble.
Noah Cook
Really? At what time in history was the world united and equal then? When did 1% take control?
I'll answer this for you. It all began with the first nation state in Egypt, using religion as a reason to worship one man and gather taxes. The Pharao was the descendant of the gods, just like the kings in europe were, etc.
Religion and nation states have been used through history to control the population, once we're passed that point, things will be a lot easier.
So no, history doesn't prove your point that a little group can take control, it proves that nation states and religion are used by little groups to KEEP power.
Jeremiah Ward
Communism will be by no means a struggleless society. Provided that it is an ideal, it will also not be moneyless. Just like we use forced labour in the modern world, communism will use hired labour. It has to do more with my desires than with communism. Pretty irrelevant question. It is enough to read Das Kapital once to understand, that your "consumption" gives you zero value. Only your production does. Noone will be on the same level. In fact, social status, dependent entirely by reputation, (and by your contribution) will become the sole scale of worth and success. Pursuing my productive passion, expanding humanity extensively and intensively. How did you get a thought to ask this question?
Michael Torres
I told you, I literally told you, that it should be illegal. There is no fail safe against capitalistic terrorism in a communist society as there is no fail safe against islamic terrorism in a capitalistic society. Like another comrade said you can't end all evil in the world with communism, but its still the better choice overall, just accept it you can't defend capitalism with real arguments vs communism, it's literally the most logic advancement for a global society.
Camden Johnson
I personally see communist society as being much more technologically advance then the current society, better quality of life (better medicine), less work, more leisure. Human social relations wouldn't be drastically different, since some aspects of it are innate. That being said for myself I'll have a lot more time to devote to thought. Something you might not realize but currently science is so fucked up by an ever shrinking funding pool that unfortunately scientists are either anxiety ridden wrecks who dont function optimally or alienated cogs working to produce pharma profits. I see science having a new renaissance. Same with art, no more mainstream pop garbage, people are free to produce what they want, no worries of album sales quotas, ect. I also society society as being greener. I think you may see many more people returning to gardening, spending time outside. Public forums and town halls wil become the center of afternoon life, people can engage in political debate and beer, conversation, communal dinner. Overall I think to contrast with others, I don't think life would be drastically different, certain threads run throughout humanity regardless of the system we live in. But I think life would be more wholesome, more genuine, and mental health much higher
Lucas Sanders
Holy shit read Marx. Generalized wage labour is the bedrock of capitalism. Equating a society where wage labour still exists with communism is fucking retarded. One could make the argument that communism will utilize some form of work duty, but hired labour is out of the question. If the commodity form has been abolished how would this even work?
Adrian Martinez
In a same way we use slavery in a modern society: i.e. labour camps. In case of socialism, it may be generally achieved, the economy almost entirely consisting of communes and cooperatives. At the same time, a small group of people would be hired by the state or even cooperatives for some menial labour.
Samuel Roberts
Dude read a book or something.
"Hiring by the state" implies that the means of production are not under collective control by the workers. The only way you could have something like that is to have a collective control of the means of production and rationing scarce goods through some medium that is assigned to you on completion of that work by the rest of society. This could either be labour vouchers (which arent money because they dont circulate, they are just glorified, better rationing cards) or rationing cards themselves.
Austin Anderson
Frankly the communism is a joke.
Brody Watson

And this is why people don't consider nazbols leftists, folks
Benjamin Thompson
Marxism has no real content other than a dated neoclassical theory of no relevance today. "Generalized" Labor and the "Value" infinitesimal quanta derived from it and the various Forms, and Alienation and so on. All these arbitrarily legislated mental operations and constructions are vestiges of German Idealism, as is the supposed real contradiction that is supposedly the system's dynamo in the concrete rather than its general incoherence.
This is all Marx really cared about, when you read his PhD thesis quoting Lucretius on Epicurus:
Monomaniac just wanted to be beatified in a similar fashion and you're STILL falling for it.

You got the point!
Of course the goal is a normal life. But without the many dangerous disadvantages our current way of living has on this planet and its inhabitants. - global warming (potentially fatal) - exploitation of people in the global south - being forced to work for a system instead of working for the needs of the society you live in - animal rights - a society where rivalry and fighting is the driving force etc.
Do you really feel everything is OK as it is?
Brayden Morales
Oh im sorry, is our "we want to live a normal life without suffering, where we have a say in things" not edgy enough for you? What did you expect? "Gas the jews, eternal nuclear wasteland now"?
Gavin Gray
Epic.
Colton Green
The one giving up is you. "We might get robbed, so let's not choose safest routes or learn self-defense".
"A building might catch fire, so let's not create emergency exits or even the building" poor rethoric there m8
Egypt and Pharaoh rings any bells? Absolute Monarchy? King Louis XIV? Caesar? Napoleon?
Semantics. You basically agreed with me but too proud to admit otherwise.
"The enemy has swords, and they can pierce us, therefore let's just accept the risk instead of creating/using shields".
Is more or less the image you give.

Work to make the world a better place and spend time with family.

I think imagining communist society is difficult, and I'm really disappointed in a lot of the answers here. So much capitalism without capitalism. I do think though, that we can imagine general trends that come with the abolition of class and the division of labour.
I think generally competition will be eliminated, and people will work enthusiastically on the things they choose to do. People will be far more versatile and keep their hands on many parts of society leading to a far more civilized (coorporative) society. Geniuses will be easier to distinguish and learn from, which puts us in a golden age of philosophy and science, to a point where our imagination ends.

The state of this fucking board…
Isaiah Anderson
I was being patient with you, but now you're pissing me off. Do you even read my posts or are you drunk like what the actual fuck dude.
I was the one using Egypt as an example for using the nation state and religion to form a ruling class. In none of the examples you gave the world was in one united global system. In none of the examples you gave people were educated like today. The more we go back in time THE MORE DIVIDED people were.
Internet and the global market are as close to globalisation as we got so far. Religion was used to control the masses as long as they were ignorant, once global communism is achieved, knowledge will be shared and religion will eventually die on its own (besides for cults maybe) because education would improve
And like I said, we would treat capitalists/psychopaths as criminals as any other terrorist/threat to the global equal system. You act like I never said anything about that, go read some posts again and you'll see that I told you toxic behaviour like that would be punishable.
This is my last post here because now I see you're an actual retard who doesn't WANT to understand, otherwise you wouldn't ignore my points.
You can bring the book to the retard, but if the retard doesn't want to read he'll just stay retarted :^)
Nathan Powell
Man I remember somebody made a thread like this on pol asking what would happen if all minorities died and they had their utopian world. To sum it up it ended up being them instilling bullshit plans involving survival of the fittest and pipe dreams where the only conclusion would be humanity ends up dying out. Wish I would have screen caped it before mods scrapped it.
The world you guys would bring forth actually made me feel hope until I realized we are living in one of the bad time lines.
James Collins
I would sit at home all day and get paid

Just be aware user that the post you are replying to might be the work of a bot or some air force/alphabet soup chef.
Maybe I'm just getting paranoid, but it seems like these sort of obtuse responses are popping up more and more. How can you tell retards and trolls from bots and shills paid to be obtuse? IDK.
Eli Sullivan
I think communism will lead to antinatalist thought and humanity will stop reproducing.

This isn't the "bad timeline" user, it's Hard Mode, maybe even European Extreme.
Isaiah Williams
The same as now. Writing, traveling and doing qts. We're talking about worldwide communism so traveling wouldn't be an issue, r-right? As for a point, same shit as now, making life a bit more enjoyable for other people and myself with stories, with the purpose of having more fun myself. Having a good time is easier when everyone around you isn't oppressed.
I am not a communist (though don't really oppose it either) and don't believe a classless society could exist, people are too different for it to work and some offer much more to society than others, hence will ultimately get more rewards and higher status whether shekels are involved or not. I do believe in a more equal society though, where no ones has to starve or be homeless while some fuck can't decide whether to spend the resources he acquired from society on a third yacht or the fifth house. The inequality we have now is just disgusting.
That'd be some weird ass entitlement.
No person should own it but why the fuck tear it down, there are tons of things one could've do with it.
The separation is naive. Both need creativity and intelligence, tend to inspire progress in the other, and people good at one thing, tend to be at least decent at the other.
Angel Rivera
i also dream of the falconeering life comrade
basically i would live in a workshop and spend 16+ hours a day wide awake, fully conscous and aware working on machines uninhibited by copyright and patent and could just progress technology to an insane degree while teaching others what ive learned and sharing info freely
as opposed to now where i try to sleep for 12hours and if im awake i have to blank it out with drugs lest i witness all of the needless human suffering going on. i think im going to lose my mind soon. i cant see any more people sleeping outside of places that are 'for rent' anymore. the contradiction is tearing at me.
Jason White
"real" communism is not possible
Christopher Sanchez
No, that's absurd. We're communists, not calvinists.
Jace Russell
What would my life be like under communism?
Well, without the dreary layers of capitalist alienation weighing me down and depressing me, I would have the confidence to pursue my dream of being a renowned film director. Without capitalism, there would literally be no obstruction in filmmaking, and I could jump right ahead to my big ideas without having to pad my way up with dinky little low-budget indie movies just to get noticed. Plus, I could express myself however I want in my films without fear of any of my work being deemed too controversial for public viewership because it wouldn't be profitable to the studios investing in my films. Film studios under communism would likely just be meant for housing filming equipment and sets, and wouldn't be soulless businesses run by focus groups. I do believe it was Orson Welles himself who said that the marketplace is the enemy of the artist. Under communism, the art of cinema would flourish like the world has never seen before.
I would also start a family with my GF as soon as humanly possible. Her and I, currently under capitalism, plan on waiting until we're financially stable enough to have a child. That won't be a problem under communism, so we can both pop our cherries (yes, her and I are both still virgins) without worrying about using protection under fear of financially struggling to support our child. And I don't want just one child, I want up to three kids. I want a family to love, nurture and enjoy life with so much.
So, three things I want most in life: a career as a film director, a family, and worldwide communism. I could settle with just the first two, but I would never be happy with myself knowing the world is still suffering under capitalism. I want capitalism to die so fucking bad. I want to kill it with my bare hands, if that's what it takes. I love humanity too much, despite all its flaws, to stand seeing it suffer like this any longer.
Nicholas Bailey
Go to the library, meet with a group of people an read philosophy together, exchanging thoughts on the matter. Perhaps read something else on the side pertaining to my interest.
Relics of the past. I don't see a reason to destroy them, as if there was some magical property of them that would make them 'feudal' in character. I don't think one should actively destroy things of the past, unless one is in a emergency related to production, i.e. scarcity.
David Thomas
The real struggle is the struggle against the ego
Cooper Howard
I would probably keep programming a bit at first. I would have studied to be a comp sci researcher if it had paid nearly as well as programming for industry, so I would hopefully be able to get into that.
An interesting thought I just had, was that I assume communist software licensing would all be copyleft? That would be pretty cool. Copyleft is actually a pain in the ass right now because if you actually want to use tech to do something important in industry (not make another shitty website, but eg scan medical documents for information about something) you can't use it, usually gotta go for MIT instead. But ideological fuckheads use the GPL because it's the most shilled. It's not designed for capitalism.
Oh yeah me too I'll probably go to the moon and bang supermodels. Sorry for shitting on you, but you're clearly kind of young
Im not really a communist. Not particularly against it, just don't think it's viable as a global system of government. Partially because I notice nobody in this thread really talking about doing unglamorous shit. Of course we are a biased source, but people will still need to unclog toilets and build buildings. I don't see how that gets done without some form of system saying "hey you gotta go do this shit you don't want to do if you want to continue using our resources". But maybe I don't understand communism well enough
Juan Sanders
you must have missed Obviously people will have to scrub the toilets. But only a handful will need to bother, a measly couple times a year, and they do so with the knowledge that automation to eliminate this socially necessary labor is the first priority, unlike under capitalism in which profit suffers from automation and thus generates MORE bullshit jobs.
Adam Wood
That's not communism
Alexander Cruz
He is a socialist irl too

It's one of the most abstract horrors I can possibly imagine. I think I'd kill myself after a few months. I can only imagine it like my NEET life, where my days blend into each other pointlessly. I don't do anything because I don't really want to pull myself into doing anything. The idea that any achievement I could ever hope to do is utterly, totally overshadowed by the fully automated production and likely even designing and artistic processes at this point makes me wonder what the fuck I'm even doing anymore.
I don't even think killing myself would matter that much because at that point it'll just have an AI that mimics what it learns over my lifetime to replace me in society so none of my friends are hurt by it. The idea terrifies me to the very deepest depths of my soul.
