Opportunism - re-live 2008

Hello Holla Forums. Given the recent financial market instability let's have a hypothetical discussion about what we would do if we had the chance to re-live the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, Occupy Wallstreet, European anti-austerity riots and so fourth.
Let's say your goal is in order to form a revolutionary proletarian mass movement out of it.
Here are a few potential talking points and questions:

1. Can a vague anti-establishment and anti-wallstreet mass movement like OWS ever be turned into a world-historical revolutionary conjuncture

2. How could 'progressive stack' and other indecision systems be gamed to turn them into decision systems. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_stack

3. What would you do actually radicalize OWS

4. How would you propagandize when the bourgeois media hegemony is considered?

Tell people to stop being such socdems and start being depressed commies like me.

Who is our lenin?, we need a leader.

this, the closest we'll get to having a Socialist leader is that Zionist cuck Bernie Sanders or Noam Chomsky (both of which told the democrats to vote for Hillary)

Justine tunney.

PSL has ran a tankie newspaper pedaler for president in '16 and got 75k votes

Sow more panic and distrust of the regime

...

Jimmy "Arm the Poor" Dore

Read some theory.

Mao says that the fundamental goal of political organization is to correctly see the contradiction at each stage of the historical conjuncture and come up with a plan for resolving it.

what opposites came into contradiction within the mass movement in 2008?

Jimmy Dore and Dick Wolff are unironically the closest we have.

This 100% unironically. They're both straight with the message, they know their points, and how to get them across to the average joe.

Are we still trying to get Wolff on the show?

even though i think labor vouchers are Utopian as fuck wont deny that one looks pretty damn aesthetic.

The idea is to meme Wolff onto the Door show to radicalize him, but Dore is already radical. Has been for years.

He did a piece on Boots Riley like 3 years ago. Boots had been asked onto a morning TV show by a producer that didn't look him up first, and he had 50 seconds of airtime to spit pure theory. So Jimmy just ran the clip and laughed about how Boots spoke the truth and the TV hosts were panicking.

Nothing about the fact that Boots literally advocated communist revolution by name. Not one word about that from Dore.

He's hiding his fucking power level. Dore is one of us.

I just want the two to meet. They're both funny smart and radical dudes

I will form the Dorean red guard who's with me

I want a three person panel discussion. Dore, Wolff and Riley.

You should really watch this talk if you're not familiar with Boots Riley. He's a rapper and a straight up communist organizer.

Boots is amazing, it's a crime that BLM doesn't give him more press

Dore is a meme. He is charmingly enraged by liberals, but not at all a socialist leader. Wolff knows more, but he is also sloppy for the sake of rhetoric. In 2008 he went over a talking point still familiar to him of comparing the old Silicon Valley garage capitalists to co-ops, but instead of doing what he does nowadays (saying they were starting co-ops) he outright said "when those entrepreneurs left in their sandals and Hawaiin shirts to start businesses together, that was communism!"

He didn't say those exact words, of course, but did literally call Silicon Valley startups communism. I think he is charismatic, but I think sometimes he takes certain liberties, and I'm sure he is aware of it, that make me cringe.

Combine Dore and Wolff and you might get a charismatic, knowledgeable, and angry leader who's not perfect, but about as good as it gets for burgers right now. Unless you've got any better suggestions.

this is what Holla Forums actually believes.

The DSA is on its way to 30,000 members and developing leaders and turning libs into socdems and socdems into communists, PSL, WWP, IWW, etc are experiencing expansion alongside local grassroots leftist organizations. There is a socialist culture developing and being built by our IRL comrades every day and Holla Forums has no idea who their local organizers of note are.

The revolution will leave you behind.

DSA are red liberals. However IWW are always based.

If I could go back to do something with the crisis of 2008, I'd go back to before 2008 - build the revolutionary party ready for the crisis. The problem with the public reaction to 2008 was that it had no point of reference, no organization, no leadership. People rioting in the streets with anti-capitalist sentiment will fizzle and die if there is not already in place an organ ready to wield that power. Of course a revolutionary party is not what creates a revolution - but it is what wins it.

Here is how you need to structure the group: 1. Don't try to recruit touchy-feely liberals, but rather go for people who consider themselves non-political. It is MUCH HARDER to make a liberal into a left-wing person. 2. No landlords allowed. No bosses. No police. No students except STEMM-autists. 3. Majority decision-making.

What is De Leonism
