why, out of the entirety of Irish and specifically Ulster-scots history have you chosen to base your entire identity and culture off of a battle that, while important in the broader context of European history, ignores the broader cultural heritage of your people. it seems the absolute heights of Loyalism is blocking the roads for a few months of the year.

Depends on what you want it for. If you want a plinker/sport pistol then just go with whatever you find most comfortable/practical. If you want a carry pistol I'd go with the .45 for power, and if you want a SHTF/Revolution pistol then go with the 9mm for ammo availability.

Why not a Springfield XDm? It's more newbie friendly imo. But really, just go to a gun store and hold both, perhaps try to find a place to fire them. It's about how it fits in your hand. Both admittedly are quite good.
