Hitler's art was a direct realist capturing of something that he was sitting in front of at the time. Not only did it have no stylistic flair to speak of that would distinguish it but it wasn't even of some vast Roman battle or something that he was painting from imagination.

Almost all artists are inspired by nature and the world around them but they put their own ideas on it and their own interpretation, Hitler was painting exactly what he physically saw when there was a by this time relatively low cost device that could do the same thing easily. Granted colour photography was in infancy but it was only a matter of time. So what exactly was Hitler bringing to the table here? You can teach technique but you can't teach imagination.
