The aut-right defines itself in opposition to a perceived SJW establishment. If Clinton had won it would have reinforced their persecution complex and inspired them to act in unity against their imaginary enemy. With Trump winning the election, they lost all claim to being a radical opposition party. Even worse, now that Trump is proving to be just another puppet in a neoliberal system their base is splintering. Their big daddy has betrayed them, and now they lack a coherent focus.

It's funny because with the likes of Nick Land, they could have continued to gain steam and actually develop into a full-blown fascistic movement if it weren't for Trump. The way it happened, they were coopted and dispersed in much the same way that leftists have been by Lenin or Chavez (take power, don't change much, associate yourself with a movement; when capital falls into crisis as usual, you're the face of its management and so is the idea/movement with which you've aligned yourself).

Same thing as what I'm saying above. The only alternative to capitalism is immediate large-scale communization. It's not a question of "can", it's a statement of "is".

USSR might have struggled along for another 40 years before imploding anyways. In best case scenario, they would have purged the bureaucracy with military force and cyberneticized the economy in an efficient, holistic manner, thus setting the stage for the soviets to potentially self-govern (which would never happen as the KGB would never give up power, but it would be extremely possible).

Seeing as Russia was the global epicenter of reaction, it probably would have resulted in the collapse of monarchism as French republican ideals spread through Germany and then to England and Austria-Hungary. I doubt that they would have been able to maintain their barracks-communism for long, but it would have been a moment long enough for reaction to lose its hold. What it means for imperialism is a little bit more complicated. There would be no Great Game, for one, as the nihilists would, like the Bolsheviks, probably lose a lot of territory in a civil war to put the next-in-line on the Russian throne. Worst case scenario, Britain takes over large swathes of Siberia and it becomes impenetrable to outside powers, only vulnerable to working-class resistance tearing it apart from the inside out as capitalism reaches an effectively global economy within the borders of a single country.

I didn't even consider them. Britain would have probably taken over for a few years and then be displaced by the Japanese in the 1880s due to its over-extension. After all, the Trans-Siberian Railway had not yet been constructed and the Meiji Restoration and concurrent industrialization were only getting under way by the 1860s, when the nihilist movement was at its strongest in Russia.

The question (and this is true for the upcoming British election too) is whether it will come soon enough for Trump and May to survive it by pushing it far enough into the past. (Though due to various long-term issues Labour will probably lose again anyway. In 1992 the economy was in a terrible state and the governing Conservative party still got a 3rd term.
