It's very important to direct your audience's attention in a movie, George straight up didn't bother to do that here. If you watch this scene for the first time without any knowledge beforehand, you will probably just focus on Sam Jackson's lasersword swinging while the jetpack dissapears into the rest of the chaos of the scene.

>>164642757>So, if Lucas hated Boba Fett so much ("Just throw him in a pit"), why did he feel the need to show his backstory and also make a new character who looks almost exactly like him?the original boba fett armor was designed to be a new tier of elite storm trooper armor but they could really only afford one suit and realized it would be impractical to make lots of detailed suits(hence the simplicity of storm troopers) it was originally suppose to be white and clean like storm trooper armor but they colored, aged,and damaged it up to give it character and make it more unique for one for one of the many bounty hunters they planned to use.i think george wanted to keep the idea of 'elite' super soldier units but instead made it into the character's vague backstory: "he is a "mandalorian", see that symbol on his shoulder? thats their symbol, ancient order of hunter/warriorrs, etc, etc" we also know lucas had the idea of a "clone wars" since the first film when obi-wan mentions it. we know the clone wars at least involved 2 things: jedi + clones. we didnt know for sure if the clones were jedi or just... clones. at some point when planning the prequels out lucas must hae decided to bring back his "super soldier idea", merge it with the mysterious fan favorite boba fett character from the OT - who he already had iconic recognizable super soldier armor for - and make them the antagonistic clone army for your mysterious "clone wars"! redesign the armor to look ever cooler/cleaner/sleeker, double it, then make 200,000 more and merge the cool mandalorian armor with storm trooper armor, making up the even cooler clone trooper armor, make 10,000 variations of that, make a toy of each one, and make billion of dollars.
