that her idea of socialism is 'dude taxes and welfare lmao'

the problem is that for many self-proclaimed socialists this is also their idea of socialism and has caused this meme

what I'm trying to say is we should purge socdems

That porkies never run out of workers moneys.

...

They would have if we established socialism. That's her problem.

Social democrats use taxation to fund social welfare programs and nationalised industry, often leading to economic inefficiency which the taxpayer has to pay for.

That capitalism never runs out of other peoples money. Debt economies, and so on.

But seriously, this is such a smug statement. One really has to adore the establishment for coming up with such concise and on point stupidity.

This.

The problem with capitalism is that you run out of slaves.

Thing is it literally is the government's money, it says so on the bills. They can print it to their heart's content.

translation:

this basically

Fun fact, Thatcher said when a LIBERAL MP was telling her of the issues of mass unemployment in his constituency. Makes you think.

Also this.

no, that would cause inflation

Le socialism=government may may

How did this cunt get elected anyway?

Brits are cucks

The problem with imperialism is eventually you run out of other people's countries.

soon.

Is it true that people in the UK treat the anniversary of her death as an unofficial holiday? I've seen it online, but didn't know if it was just a meme. Wish we could do the same about Reagan.

Nah, slaves are self perpetuating.

Not really, however "Ding dong the witch is dead" did reach number one in the charts.

The advantage of Neoliberalism is you never run out of third world countries

It's a bit of a meme, it's mostly just to piss off Tories since everyone said they'd have street parties when she died and the Tories got the police to shut them down when she did.

What did she mean by this?

Fuck off usery pludders all equally you dumb commie faggot.

Time for bed you drunk Pinocuck.

...

You eventually run out of Porky's money

The problem with capitalism is eventually you run out of other people willing to be exploited.

Dude just destroy my economy lmao
youtu.be/sdZp5iw-UEo

There is never a shortage of people willing to be exploited or money to squeeze out of the people, that is why capitalism works so well (for porky)

That under capitalism, there are ALWAYS ways to squeeze the working class, no matter how ridiculous, exploitative or degrading

Thus why they are trying to turn the west back into "third world" countries (with respect to fiscal policy.) Not sure if it is going to work for them though.

she meant that she was a cunt and that she is burning in hell now

kek

her face just asks for a baseball bat

that she's a useful idiot who increased state spending for most of her term in office to subsidize permanent mass-unemployment, increased the total tax burden (by hiking VAT to compensate for top rate tax cuts), sold off the nation's oil to private corporations, (goddamn if there's one point that pisses me off more than any other it's how the UK squandered north sea oil. jesus fucking christ WHY.) and nearly cost the country the falkland islands with the ill-thought-out defence cuts of 1981 onwards.

fun fact, even the economic case against the mining industry was shaky as fuck once you factored in the amount of fixed costs involved.
(for example, in arguing it was a lossmaking enterprise they included pensions and land-damage costs which had to be paid regardless of what happened to the industry.)

Labour got the blame for a global economic crisis and trade unions striking in response to stagnant wages and high inflation.
Thatcher proceeded to leave inflation nearly as high as it was when she took office when she resigned, because the "Lawson Boom" was a hugely inflationary bubble. Whoops!

To be half fair to her, the IMF was already forcing the incumbent Labour government to make deep public spending cuts in exchange for a loan. (As far as I can tell, the money wasn't due to state overspending but due to a balance of payments problem, i.e. the money was to maintain the value of Stirling. The treasury figures used to tell the incumbent government that they needed to make such borrowing were complete nonsense, I'd nearly go so far as to suggest there was a conspiracy to lie to the government and force their hand.)

While Thatcher is hugely deserving of hate for her zealous role in the imposition of neoliberalism, it must tepidly be remembered that the systems involved are the problem and that even good people in bad systems will be forced to do bad things. Even most of Thatcher's policies weren't; home grown, but were suggested by external think-tanks.

I didn't expect socdems to actually blame bigger structural problems instead of individuals. Are you sure you're not a marxist?

I'm not really sure what I am. I started as a proper reformist looking for a synthesis of election-winning and reformism (as the left of the labour party suck at the former and Blairites suck at both the former and the latter, winning purely due to an alignment of factors preferable to capital and destroying labour's base in the process.), but after reading into the basic history of Labour and the world economy from about the 50s to the late 70s, I don't really believe in anything anymore. (Even though Post-Keynesianism is a wonderful way of making capitalism nicer and basically achievable in theory, there's nothing more doomed than an idea who's time has come and the level of global co-operation required to set it up will never happen.)

The problem comes in that I'm not optimistic (not to mention well-read) enough to be a socialist or communist either, because it's intuitively difficult to believe people who'll vote for Thatcher, or Blair, or May will ever rise up and liberate themselves - and it's equally difficult to believe a clever vanguard can lead them, particularly because if you just do it in one country then capital will conspire to crush you or you'll hold on and go the route of China and wind up with capitalism again. The flag is more to indicate background and collection of enemies (other socdems who're too right wing relative to the beliefs i kind of sort of once held) than current belief.

What she meant was that according to her ideology, the capitalist state functions like a household that must "live within its means" and cut spending. This thinking is what has fueled the austerity politics that have done their very best to kill off capitalism once and for all.
