So Brexit

Now t is confimed for 29this month and 29th of march 2019, what does Holla Forums think of the implications of breaking away from the EU?

Personally I can't predict the future but before joining the EU we had overpiced bread and rolling blackouts how can a country like UK stand on its own feet with right side conservative goverment.

It means the economy is going to go to shit. It means liberals are going to self destruct. It means no more unelected bureaucrats pushing laws from on high.

In other words, a step in the right direction.

the concept of Belgium ruling over the UK is just a fucking meme though

Unelected bureaucrats aren't a meme though.

we have an unelected priminister

I've had some of my more liberal leaning friends radicalised to socialism because of brexit; but it seems to be that the opposite is more the trend, ie, liberal democrat surge and whatever

And that's equally as disgraceful

I am going to jump in here, all my family live in Spain Brexit votte on the back of ppl with brown skin (not from EU) is a genuine worry to how they carry on, as the only way for Spanish citisnship is to remove your British one

Brit=cucked, the place is full of muslims

This is such a shit-tier analysis. Leaving aside the issue of correlation vs causation, and the fact that the EU didn't exist until 1993, it is not true that Britain got better after joining the EEC. The mid 70s were arguably the very peak of British history.

Correct. Britain will probably do a lot better out, that is without the internal timebomb of the ecb being taken into account, which they are right to leave even if things didn't improve or got worse for a while

when you only have history as ananlysis what else can you look at?
Britian did get better after joining the EEC ou downfall was from Margret Thatcher and thing like destoying our industry and housing market with mortgage interest rates hitting 18%

I'm not objecting to the use of historical analysis, I'm objecting to the incredibly simplistic historical analysis. You've bought into the Thatcherite propaganda that Britain in 1973 was going to shit because it had blackouts (caused by the evil miners' union) and expensive bread (even though the cost of living is far worse now).

How?

T. neolib. it was recovery from thatcher that caused the improvement

I can appreciate your stance

But you can fuck off, causing mass unemplyment, supporter of capital punishment, interest rates over 10%, MUH MILK, poll tax, housing crisis, NHS privitisation….. MUH IMPROVEMENT

What got better after Thatcher?

Certainly not wages or employment.

imo communism will have won before 2019

Why are Brits so fucking retarded when it comes to politics? How shit is your education system?

wtf? I hate Brexit now.

Do you not think this will make them more accountable? In what possible way is bringing power home a bad thing?

2 of our last 4 PMs have been unelected. Our electoral system a shit.

Under different circumstances I'd agree but the EU has regulations in place regarding climate change, working conditions and other things. Don't get me wrong, these regulations are not nearly enough but they were regulations. Currently the neolibs are in charge in GB and I suspect that once the opportunity opens they'll jump on it and won't let go. The only positive outcome would be that exactly this unhindered neoliberalism frustrates the population in such a way that it eventually leads to Corbyn being elected but it might as well go in the completely opposite direction.

go back to reading the sun m80

Power doesn't work like that. Do you think all the members of the EU had equal power? Do you think Togo ever had more sovereignty than the UK?

Only because Unions had power back then. Couldn't imagine any union nowadays forcing a country into a three day week.

native porkies over foreign porkies. what a great victory for the British people

Of course not. But the EU overruled national governments and populations time and time again. Look at Ireland, France more recently Greece.

Should they be able to?

Now the UK can know that feel.

So you concede that EU a shit that dumps on the democratic will of the people but will enjoy them putting the boot into the UK cause muh racist Brexiters? Never change leftists.

Oh my god you are a fucking child.
Get real idiot. It's a capitalist world.

...

Where did I say that?

I thought that's what this board was for? Anyway. We both want change. Just mine is seeming more and more possible. Brexit was a step in the right direction.

Oh so you want Britain to be a low tax and regulation Singapore of Europe?
The only people who will benefit are porkies who don't want to spend money.

You either have unions that can cause disruption, or bosses that can force workers to accept shit terms of employment. Rather than blaming the NUM for causing the three-day week, you should blame the government for refusing to pay the miners properly.

I just want to see neoliberalism and globalsim (the top down - enforced to enrich the few - justified in the language of liberalism kind) to get out. Beyond that I'm easy. Oh and Britainistan. I don't want Britanistan.

Britain and Germany had the best deals and were making hundreds of billions of euros a year from EU membership.
The UK was really dumb to leave but the result explains why they tend not to let the plebs get near power.

Why do you think Brussels takes no notice of Murdoch? It's because the EU is undemocratic and can safely ignore the opinions of the people who read Murdoch's newspapers. I guess we should abolish democracy altogether then.

Prepare for crushing disappointment, for the rest of your life. Brexit will enrich the few at the expense of the masses.
Oh and didn't Theresa May go to India begging for trade and get told she needed to allow Indians to move over in return?
So now, instead of Poles you get Indians. LMFAO. Nice sovereignty.
When are you going to learn that money talks?

...

top kek you can't make this shit up

meh.
I accept this. But if {{{they}}} are in Downing St instead of Brussels it makes it that much quicker to march them to the maiden. The plan is to crash it all. Brexit was one part of this.

yeah right, it's not like britain is the most apathetic classcucked shithole in europe
enjoy living in your dystopian neofeudal hell hole you stupid larper

meant for

Not an argument, faggot. We need a government that breaks up Murdoch's empire, not one that is immune to the will f the people.

What you say applies to most of the first world.

the uk accelerated accession and imposed no restrictions on them coming over in return for support for the iraq war
yes you can, france still has a lot of state backed companies from renault to edf
no they're not. the only country that wants them are the uk
the only country that wants that is the uk, not going to happen now.
you think tory austerity would have no effect? just cut the paperclip buget a little bit yes?
you haven't done it for the last 40 years because you are cheap bastards.
germany has managed to do it and we are in the eu too.
the reason your government has no control is because that is precisely what they wanted.
they wanted to hand democratic control over to market forces - this was the ideology of thatcher.
now you reap what you sowed. i'm sorry but you bought this on yourself and no amount of chest thumping and shouting in-ger-land will change reality.
no one cares. as said, money talks. no one needs your bullshit.

They are meaningless. EU politicians approved CETA and are now talking about "two velocity Europe".

the funniest part of this is seeing every 3 gcses chav suddenly become an expert in trade deals

Well now they'll have nobody to blame if things are all shitty.
Slightly OT but my understanding was NO to state support of industries. The recent example from over here was Tata Steel. So how come France's EDF (which will own a good share of the new UK nuclear stations) is allowed help?

figures

ITT libtards and autrightists slapfight

I can't see it ending in anything but economic disaster for the UK. Then again, it is a bubble economy built on thin air on the back of the City so maybe a little crash is needed anyway.
