Most of my friends are anarchists and ideologically opposed to the police and the court system but sometimes they are the victims of serious crimes like rape and chose to not involve the police, what is the best way to handle situations like this in your opinion?
For the record I am a socialist that is not opposed to LE or courts in theory but chooses to respect the victim's wishes.
What the fuck? They should do it anyway. It wouldn't turn them into hypocrites or anything, or do they not engage in anything that has to do with our current system either?

Maybe I'm just silly and dumb but why would kicking their ass and telling everyone they're a rapist not be reasonable?
I personally can't speak for their ideological stance on all parts of government but among my peers being a cop caller is considered a terrible thing, a lot of them are travelers who hitch or ride the rails.
My friend claimed both her ex and a stranger sexually assaulted her at different times.
I believe her but I am not sure if vigilante justice is the best way of dealing with these things I am not sure if you should injure people based off a person's word alone.
I am not an anarchist but I don't think trying to force my friend to use the police won't do much besides strain our friendship

It shouldn't be based off a person's word alone. At the very least it should be based off noticed distress, the word of a trusted person, and a serious critical analysis of the claims.
Preferably there'd be some sort of actual investigation but the tools are not readily available.
Because I think rapists should be isolated and rehabilitated. Kicking their ass doesn't really solve anything.
I read your OP wrong. I didn't notice that they WEREN'T calling the police at first. I think you're doing the right thing by respecting their wishes.
Yeah that is the difficult part I am very biased because I trust my friend over a person who I don't know well but even if they're guilty is it my responsibility to injure this person and if so how much? I have never been in a fight as an adult and I also fear going to prison and being a felon
I guess my real question is people who choose not to call the police for ideological reasons how do you deal with issues of interpersonal violence or theft of personal property especially if the supposed acts happen behind closed doors?

I was thinking about this because this girl on tindr had the accused stranger rapist as their friend in some Instagram pictures so I sent her a message informing her of the situation also that he supposedly beat his last two gf's but this chick just denied that her friend would do that. I honestly don't want to ruin someone's life if they are innocent.

The strange part about this thing is some trans woman accused this woman I used to date of rape before her conversion the thing is I am biased and believe this chick I used to see over this accuser. I just think it is hard to be unbiased and fair to people when you are so close to the situation.
