The story and its progression is pretty good, too bad the economy, bullets, and difficulty balancing is not so good.
I don't like how depending on your gun, the bullets just suddenly disappear after a set distance, but playing in the swamp is utter hell without it.
Fuck using 10 bandages to stop bleeding on higher difficulties.
Not a clue, I need a new guide.

Playing through SoC for the first time right now. Having fun, not a big fan of how cowabooty Garbage gets. Walking around either leads to radiation or huge bandit gangs. I'm not used to spamming quicksave in games either so I lost a good 25 minutes of having to deal with seemingly endless hordes of bandits after a single one gets a lucky shot on me

Call of Pripyat is especially terrible considering it nails STALKAN for the first two areas. Then you hit Pripyat and it's hot fucking trash.

I've heard this complaint about SoC before, but personally the end of that game never bothered me too much. Sure, it completely throws all the "survival" shit out the window once you reach the NPP but that part of the game seemed to go by so quickly for me that I actually kind of enjoyed it. Made it feel like all that hard work led up to something big and was a nice send-off to the really fun and tense experience that everything leading up to it was.
I agree about CoP though, Pripyat onwards was fucking garbage.

This is kind of true, there's a point in the all story modes where it breaks down. Pripyat was at least atmospheric and had great creepy monolith bits, Clear Sky on the other hand just melted into shit.
