It did, and it was one of the first flagship titles to throw M&KB users in the same online matches with console players. The expected butthurt and hilarity ensued as console scrubs bunch up together in the center of the map and roll around with a shotgun trying to mosh pit each other while PC players run around the outskirts of the maps sniping them and hammerbursting them with pinpoint accuracy to the forehead.

I got it on sale for expressly that purpose, and because I have family who refuse to move beyond their failed children's toyboxes and I still wanted to run with them. Getting an Xbox myself was out of the question since, even if I received it as a gift, I still wouldn't pay for Xbox Live.

Anyhow, about two months into playing and a failed routine update completely nuked my install. I have shit burger DSL, so just getting the game in the first place was a pain the ass since the download client would routinely shit itself and forget where it was - starting the entire download over again from scratch. Then there's like 60~70GB worth of updates, and smaller 10~20GB routine updates fairly regularly. If any of those fail - it uninstalls the entire game and you have to fight the installer to try to download all 120GB all over again.

So yeah… haven't played it in over a year.

There's those that will buy the game, and this changes nothing. They buy out of brand loyalty because they actually enjoy the game. Yes, you share a planet with people like that.
This crack won't change anything, they'll still buy it anyway, likely because they are too dumb to pirate anyway.

There's also those that have no interest in the game. Even if Microsoft gave it away in a free disk on your purchase of Windows or it came as one of those promotions that you get a free game with your video card, for these guys it'd be a disc they'd put up on the shelf and leave it there, let alone actually pay money for it.
This crack changes nothing, doubly so with the 100+ GB of disk space. Stronger anti-piracy measure than Denuvo, TBH.

Then there's the mongrels. the shit-eating faggots that want to play this crap because they have terminal shit taste but either they can't or they don't want to buy the game. Their motives are irrelevant since on one side, they would never pay money for it but on the other, they'll still play it anyway.

Microsoft will still get all the sales from the first group and nothing else, no sale was lost.
The first and the third group will still play the game, the playerbase did not change (at least not because of the crack anyway).
