And it took them 3 Tib wars to finally have something to answer Nod's laser tech. "Not difficult", yeah right.
The plasma technology was highly experimental only fell short because GDI destroyed all the Banshee prototypes before they could be finished. Even so, Enlightened cyborgs still have plasma cannons, on top of having mastered man-portable particle beam weaponry as well, something that GDI still has restricted to their precious Ion Cannon.
Well obviously, it's only visual signature stealth, bending light around the vehicle/person to make them invisible to the eye and normal surveillance systems.
After they stole it from Nod, who've literally invented tiberium harvesting.
Wrong. They had specialized weapons that launched concentrated Tiberium gases at the target with high enough doses to kill near-instantly. You try collecting tiberium gas to make into a weapon, surely you'll have an easy time. *You won't.*
Also, I should note that Nod also pioneered Tiberium-proof suits with the Chem Warriors as well during TWI. GDI only got that tech in TWIII.
Okay.
And? Nod had them in the 1990's.
While I think all are equally interesting, robotics on the level of mechanized walkers had too many flaws to stick around after one Tiberium war, which is why had to end their production (which I fucking hate them for doing) to save money. Also, GDI managed to ruin jumpjets in Tiberian Sun with the shitty-ass useless buzz lightyear infantry. They only became useful in TWIII.
Establishing a worldwide tunnel network where the vast majority of Nod's followers can literally live in in less than 30 years without GDI knowing about it is not technologically advanced?
Which is why GDI didn't even have the skill or the tech to figure out how to push back the veinholes and contain them by inventing their own harvester right? Fuck dude, Nod retrofitted a goddamn tractor and it did the job.
Except for the fact that he was hooked up into the minds of Kane's entire inner circle and was essentially a sapient lifeform turned digital, to the point of calling GDI's EVA a primitive machine.

The end of the Second Tiberium War didn't destroy everything Nod had, you know. Even their most advanced tech, such as Avatars and Stealth tanks, were only introduced late into Nod's campaign after Kane instructed his followers how to build them. Nod's most "high tech" units were never given to the player right off the bat in any of the games, and Tiberium Wars is no different.
Like the ones we got in Kane's Wrath? How about those, eh?
The main point of GDI has always been to spam its strongest arsenal available at Nod. They're a defense initiative, so their main tactic is to be a wall of fire and armor. They're mostly Imperial Guard-tier. Hell, the vast majority of cutscenes involving GDI forces has them curbstomping Nod's shit with heavy bombers, mechs and tanks like an unstoppable force.
