I honestly haven't played ember in 2/+ years. She didn't scale well for endless voids which were basically everything back then, and after I MR'd, I sold her for slot space (I was pretty new, didn't know how to trade that well, selling things to make more space rather than buying more slots).

I got ember P now. Gonna try her out later. Is there some good general strategy/augments/etc… to build her towards to make her good for higher level stuff? Or is she still basically just meant for mapwide nuking really low level stuff?

i would like to know how do you even advance in this game in terms of getting stronger? when im shooting a boss for 30 fucking mins should i be building my warframe to get stronger? my guns? or should i be working up to getting the top tier weapon that could defeat all bosses?

Everything is mods. Equipment levels only determine how many mods you can equip, not the damage they do. Get generic damage+ mods for your weapons, and use status effects and the correct type of damage (slash, pierce, impact) against particularly hard enemies.

I've got a good thing going for my Valkyr in buffing and rescue-reviving teammates. But thats dead on, so many of the frames are gimmicks that end up causing more harm than good because you have to go out of your way to not only mod to the gimmick but play to it.

Alright, MR8 here, what frame/weapons should i get for being capable of soloing most stuff? I usually use oberon and a dread with maxed serration but with enemies around level 30 that starts to be lacking
What other essential mods should i get? Where do 60/60 mods drop?
And is there room for me in the 8ch clan?

Oberon is honestly a fine solo frame for most content, but if you want to really trivialize shit get nidus, rhino, valkyr, Octavia, or harrow.
As for weapons, the reason you dread is falling off is that it lacks status to remove armor and likely crit mods cause you said it only has serration. So I'd ask around for hunter munitions, split chamber, point strike, and vital sense, and put a catalyst and forma on dread. If you want something other than dread something like amprex or tenora would be good and require minimal mods to wreck shit.

60/60 mods can be gotten from spy mission rewards, corrupted vor in the void, and baro. Other essential mods would be the multishot, damage, crit, and 60/60s for every other weapon type. Essential frame mods are standard stat enhancements, so flow, stretch, intensify, vitality, steel fiber, etc. you'll also want to start trying to get corrupted mods for your frames as they enable the ridiculous min maxing that can make frames super strong. You get those from vaults in the orokin derelicts and by using a key.

And there probably isn't room.

Oberon is a goat, and can also tank everything in the star chart, and as boring as octavia is she has infinitely scaling abilities and doesn't afraid of anything.

That's pretty damn great as an eidolon hunter build, and still very good as a general build. I'd keep if you want to get into eidolon hunting, or sell for maybe 100 plat, especially if it's low roll.

I would keep it, because the rubico is the highest DPS sniper rifle, as other user said it's fantastic for eidolon hunting since it has heat and elec dmg on it for radiation which is the strongest type against eidolons

I haven't made very many Warframes but I made a joke Zephyr build built entirely around the "reduced damage while in mid air" mods. It's my tankiest build of all my builds so far, even without potatoing. Zephyr is also pretty useful for basically cheesing every parkour bit in the game. Are any of the Dex weapons they've added with the anniversary any good? For the most part the only thing the Sybaris has is a bit more crit chance (35 vs 30) and a bit more accuracy over the prime version, but is a large downgrade in every single other respect. The Furis seems like it could be a decent status secondary though - same fire rate as twin Grakata, but rather than 11% status for two bullets, it's got 30% for one, which seems like it would get more procs. The dual swords seem pretty meh, especially when compared to something like twin Krohkur.

Direct combat death - same as Loki, nigh impossible.

Mallet scales infinitely, more or less. Something does damage to it and then that gets multiplied by whatever number your ability strength gives you; output is i think blast so it's not as effective on blast-resistant and well-armored targets.
But it's still a fucking whopping shitload of damage that mallet can produce. And it's also affected by the roller if you decide to use it for some retarded reason since roller has its own additional damage multiplier for the mallet it's carrying that scales with distance traveled. And amp increases the damage and range by 200%

The fact that it only has a 14% base crit rate is fucking terrible and a waste of mod slots trying to fix it instead of building around its already strong status chance.

Nah lets take it further, since we want to push the crit as high as we can go lets take a look at what that will actually do.
We've managed to gut the entire damage that the status was playing off of causing blast and corrosive procs at the same time as the IPS and gotten our crit up to a whopping 46.9% with a 5.2x multiplier.
Now you might be thinking "Hey 5.2x thats pretty good"
Yes its quite a high crit damage multiplier that starts off with a staggering 134.5 damage.
And when multiplied that deals a grand total of 699.4 damage.
=ITS FUCKING NOTHING=
The funny thing here is my status furis BEFORE critting was dealing 757 damage that would crit when it did for 3.8x for 2876.6 damage.
And it shredded armor off targets did an did blast procs.
We did it boys we managed to kill this gun dead.
Even with the addition of another mod in that empty slot wouldn't fix this mess.

So with that in mind lets take a look at what an actual build without every stupid crit mod I can shove into this looks like still focused around crit.
We've lost 1.2x crit and were down to 4x and the crit chance is down to 40.2%
But because of Primed Heated Charge and Augur Pact's damage we now have a base damage of 482.3
And when multipled by 4x we get 1929.2
A respectable number but still lacking in a lot of ways. Since it has shit all damage for slash we cant rely on slash procs so armored targets are still going to be bothersome. This is still a DPS loss over status and it loses its flexibility in what it can hurt. Is it usable? Yes it most certainly is.
Is it better? No.
