And given that the world is populated by loads of people anyone you reach that decides to abide by your message makes your art less and less special. Lots of this post-modern art has discarded skill and practice for an obsession with message, ironically becoming less communicative then classical art.

Used to be people made art to become close to God or perfection or whatnot in order to attain enlightenment and share emotions with others rather then pushing a message, it connected people beyond language and was cultural exchange.

And yet, this art style that was created to streamline that process in some hope of connecting barriers faster has only weakened the medium. There's little hope for a skilled artist to enter the current art world by his own merit and reach people because those with silver spoons and no gusto or passion compared the average street painter have taken it over.

Art as it is, is now just another way to launder money. Because that's the real reason why post modern art became "popular" despite the public's disgust and confusion at the "genre".
There was one thing that the old ages didn't have that prevented this post-modern bullshit from being invented way earlier, corporations and criminal conglomerates.

Well fuck, yes, this webm we mentioned and the, continuation? "Mousou express" really picked my interest. I left anime behind because it's mostly too cliche, too corny, but I can't help to recognize that Monogatari openings have quite some quality: The lyrics, the singing and the visual aesthetics are all very refined.

In our current western world where "art" showcases the degeneracy of people's souls, it sure has been refreshing.

Well that does explain a lot. I've been recently watching other OP's trying to look for something similar but all feels edgy, corny, cheesy, you name it. But bakemonogatari has been something entirely different.

I recently realized that my aesthetic endeavors have remained relatively free of modern garbage influences thanks to Holla Forums. And although 80% of content is garbage, the remaining 20% is more than enough.

Think about it, where else would we get out kicks? Facebook? TV? The movies? People worldwide are being sieged and ripped out of their memes to be replaced with corporate memes. This is one of the few places (at least on the virtual world) were memes still grow naturally

Whats great about them is many take on a completely different meaning after the arc they are for is over.

This OP becomes quite sad after you learn that shes actually a ghost who was hit by a truck on her way to visit her mother and has been wandering the city since then because she can't remember the way.

But yes, the Monogatari series is genius writing combined with a team of highly skilled and passionate animators. Its a series you really have to watch several times since there are subtle things you don't pick up on the first time you watch it as the story isn't told linearly. There is a single line of dialogue in the first few minutes of the first episode which on first watch has little meaning to the viewer and no bearing on the conversation, but when you learn what its referencing in a later series and rewatch that episode it changes the tone of conversation and your perception of the character.

There are also instances of this occurring over several episodes, for instance when you learn about the above spoiler and then go back and re-watch the last few episodes with the knowledge of the spoiler your perception of one of the other characters changes and you realise you were being told what was going on the entire time.

It is kind of funny to think that Paragon, a trend game, will be killed by another trend game, that could die sooner. too. But I think the most sad part is to think how Epic, while quite profitable, became nothing but a husk of it´s past self.

Can you name me some good games made by Epic? They publish trash since ages.
