fb is the #3 most website on earth. I really can't blame them especially because their protests are better if they're organized, the more people the better.

most of them have fake fbs as I said before & the police doesn't has a way to identify you unless you get arrested & then looks at your data. But yes it would be pretty fucking dumb to post "anti-fa rally on Thursday who is in" then have a bunch of real names there saying "I'm in" & really assisting to the rally risking getting arrested & data mined later on.

Otherwise there is really no way. Some people there are ballsy enough to post PDF links to the anarchist cookbook a supposedly "illegal" book & shit.

Most of them are just there to share news & give their opinion about it, just like anywhere else. Which is fine it's not like the bolice really cares about that shit.

Worst that can happen is these groups get hunted down & banned from Facebook. By the orders of someone in the current govt.

There's a difference between using it for recruitment and using it for actual organization. Recruit on facebook, by all means (provided your own account uses an alias and you warn comrades of the danger inherent in joining lefty groups on NSAbook), but use it to drop links and actually organize elsewhere.

For a second I can almost agree with this sentiment. The thought occurs to me though that in order to see a Facebook post you have to be dumb enough to still be on Facebook. So I'm not sure how much of a "get" these people are.

I mean that is a little arrogant and elitist but if people cant even cut government and corporate intrusion out of their own lives what good will they be in a broader emancipation movement?

This isn't hypothetical either he sells peoples info to advertisers, lets the government spy without provocation and has allowed think tanks and universities to do experiments on users without their knowledge.

Most people have facebooks, both real & fake. I'm one of those. The thing replaced Microsoft's MSN thats why.

I agree with the user that it's fine for "getting people into" not for organizing. Anti-fa will never be a movement that will let be by legal porkies. It's their anti-thesis.

I'm not saying you are complaining about that. It's just that this is the general issue I see when people complain about using something so prevalent in everyday life of a typical person and then seeing other threads about "How to grow Holla Forums"

Do you think any revolutionary figure thought that the poor & uneducated were "gets". You can't demand an action and then not inform and enlighten the masses to at least take a new perspective on an issue. You can't just cast them out to the side at this point in time.

The problem I see with this, is the fact we want a revolution, but then scared to actually make it known we want one. I'm all for protecting your identity in the current environment, you need to eat, housing, family, can't get fired etc. etc. but there comes a point where you are going to have to openly admit to what you want and take action to get it, regardless if it is violent revolutionary action or not. You can't always lead an anonymous life.

Spoiler alert: anyone who wants to "grow Holla Forums" by bringing people from Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit are critically missing the point of coming to a fucking anonymous imageboard to begin with.

It's not about growing Holla Forums Per Se, it's about growing a leftist tendency in the general public. Holla Forums is just a space people can come to openly discuss ideas and let ideas flow more freely. To be quite honest, I fail to see any point in your argument. Just because people get informed about Holla Forums or any other anonymous imageboard on FB, Twitter, Reddit, etc. doesn't detract anything from an anonymous board besides a few more shitpost that can easily be ignored. If you want to elaborate on that point it would be helpful to understand how it is contradictory.

And what about when the shitposts are more numerous than the regular posts?
