ONRUSH

AKA: Totally-Not-Motorstorm 4

It looks like Evolution wanted to make a new Motorstorm before Sony dropped them and they're now just making it with Codemasters instead.
Provided Codemasters doesn't somehow fuck it up, which they aren't really known for doing recently, it looks like it might be fun.

However, Evolution's bullshit with Driveclub can't be forgotten either, though a lot of that may've been due to Sony's Semitic shenanigans, it can't hurt to have a sensible level of suspicion about this too.

It makes me hard seeing the vehicles flip around at high speeds in the middle of narrow paths.

Call me when the PC port drops, and hopefully Codejewsters won't put Denuvo on it (HAH)

GRID
DIRT
ONRUSH
What's the difference?

-Street Racing
-Rally
-Arcade

It's even still got a drum and bass soundtrack. I'll probably check it out when reviews drop. I'm always in the mood for more split-screen games on PS4

I'm assuming the motorstorm series played like trash

GRID was trash and DIRT was actually okay, for one.

You are assuming wrong.

how so

The games were actually pretty fun and player well. I should know, I played them.

Absolutely not, anything but.

>each of the games look great with their own aesthetic and focus the original is my favourite, Apocalypse my least

You fucking missed out dude.

still not as good as

Demolition Racer, DD: RAW, etc. are good, but have a completely different feel to them than Motorstorm. Other than Motorstorm being heavy on Drum & Bass

While the OST of those games emphasize the constant balls-to-the-wall action, there's nothing quite like being pushed to last place in Pacific Rift only for Tarantula to come on, cleanly taking out several of the opposition at the back before boosting your way back to first when the beat drops.

And concidering its difficulty, you really have to fight to win.

i only played motorstorm at a friend. i liked it but not to the point of buying it.

there's nothing quite like being pushed to last place[…]cleanly taking out several of the opposition at the back before boosting your way back to first when the beat drops

kind of remind me of wipeout event if it doesn t play and feel the same.

i guess i missed and underestimate a good game on ps3

Is the original Motorstorm worth playing? I've been trying to get into it, but shit is it hard.

You can get it on PS2 too, it's one of the only series I've ever seen that has ever released a game a generation backwards.

It is pretty difficult, but mainly in the fact the AI can be cheeky cunts and fuck your day up in a multitude of different ways, but in a fair way, never artificially, and if you have enough skill you can breeze through races.

That's actually just a port of the PSP version, it was all part of Sony's plan to kill their handheld by porting most of its big exclusives to the PS2 like VCS and LCS, Sony just fucking hates their handhelds it seems.

Without it? I won't.

Not even TRYING to put couch coop in the game. I'm sure they could patch it in after release, cant be that hard on The Most Powerful Console™

My nigger

Arcade racers with heavy soundtracks where you have to fight with tooth and nail through blood and mud to emerge victorious are the zenith of racing vidya. This is why stuff like DR, Motorstorm, Split/Second, WipEout and Burnout are the best games out there to this day.

This is looking quite like Motorstorm and Burnout's baby.

They're all arcade. Only title in any of those series that isnt arcade is Dirt Rally.

Cunts. No couch-coop no buy. Who the fuck wants to play an arcade racing game without their mates? The experience would just be hollow.

Agrre, and about this: how is BREAK ARTS II ? have anyone tryed it ? is it worth playing buying ?

sort yourself out

Don't forget the fact that they have very good level design.

The graphics don't even look better than Pacific Rift?

There better be a soft body crash physics (it looks like it doesn't by the way) or else there's no excuse to release such a bad looking game on PS4

I prefer Pacific Rift because I like to see some vegetation

Pacific Rift has 4-player split screen.
It's fun.

This game looks so much better on an emulator.

I said games like the ones I listed, not just those.

So, is there any backlash for the lack of splitscreen so they can even promise to add later? Because if not, I'm afraid people will just complain a lot at launch giving it poor sales and dies a silent death.

Don't forget Blur
Blur 2 never ever.
