The Titanfall 2 community is okay for the most part. There's a bit too much dick sucking that goes on occasionally, and there's a not subtle undercurrent of plebbit prose and opinions if you stick around long enough, but it's not intolerable. Even without holes in walls, there's multiple static objects that CAN be vaulted onto, but require exact positioning, because otherwise the game simply does not recognize you're trying to do so. I should not have to negotiate with the game to get my character to do something. If the contextual vault worked reliably, I'd let the lack of agency slide. Actually, lets just take a bit of time off vaulting for a second to talk about "F", because I've seen multiple rounds lost because 'F' is tied to multiple tasks that can occur at the same time, such as removing a Gu needle and planting a defuser or dropping a hostage. If you step on a Gu mine at or near the time limit on Hostage or Bomb, that's it, you lose.

Honestly Ela wasn' too bad before and now shes even easier to kill. The new new Blitz changes also seem like they are actually going to make him worse instead of better. I'd rather see them just keep him where he is and maybe fix his shield a bit so his shoulders can't be shot from the front/fix his hitbox some more.

Nu-blitz is fucking terrifying. I'm glad shield ops won't be useless but he can rush down a room and with a finka on the team he's a real killing machine.

It's more so her gadget was unavoidable. You HAVE to have Thatcher or Twitch to destroy it. And Ela and Vigil started changing the guns the defenders were allowed to have. They both have the best guns out of all the defenders, and are 3 speeds. Before Blood Orchid the idea was defenders are weaker but have the building to fortify. The attackers are powerful but have to start outside the building.

Nah they fixed the bug with nu-blitz he was faster than intended. When you have a shield out it is supposed to slow you down by a additional factor which it wasn't. So now hes slightly faster than a 3 speed operator instead of slower than one like all other shielders. Plus they also nerfed his hipfire accuracy because it was too good apparently?

Defenders got nerfed way more often than attackers did. You must have forgotten all of the spawn peeking shit they fixed and tried to clamp down on and the removal of acogs from most of the defenders. Ela brought a high cap fast firing gun which was accurate still along with the 3 speed which allowed her to roam. Roamers have always been strong when combined with static defenders. Hell I'd say acog bandit/jaegar were both far more annoying to deal with than Ela or Vigil have ever been and their gadgets didn't even help them when they roamed.

Nah, I'd put them around as bad as spawnpeaking by a Jager/Bandit. Compared to jager/bandit, its miles more frightening to fight an Ela or Vigil. Those guns just don't feel like defender guns. If they were on 1-2 speeds it be, ok. Every time I played Ela over the past 6 months, I literally ran around the entire duration of the timer. Just aggressively looking for attackers to spray down. I averaged around 2-3 kills from playing as carelessly as possibly.

High fire-rate SMG's in general are kinda iffy in a game where a single headshot kills you. But they are bad when they have more than 20 bullets in the mag. Smoke and Sledge barely work with their side arms since they have a cap of 17 bullets, enough to kill one person. Ela had 50 and preformed better than their sidearm lol.

Worst yet, I had to start getting my team to get Ela killed right away. That was the routine. Find where Ela's at. Surround her, kill her and lose 1 teammate. Attack the objective. "Her special ability is to take on multiple attackers". I still cringe upon that official statement.

Kinda sad that all these new ops are just bullshit, nothing interesting. There are a lot of better ideas they could take out there, but instead they do shit like this and are running the whole thing into the ground.
Sad to see such an interesting game get thrown away like this. If instead they pushed forward with how the game is supposed to be, using the environment and such, it would be so much better. But now you get operators which can give health boost, aim stabilization, and speed. And also an operator which will punish enemies for moving around, as if they didn't have it difficult enough already with Ela and other roamers.

They need to include a "Simon Larouche" mode, where every operator is only pre-Operation: Health. I bought his game. Not Ubisofts.

Concerning Vigil's rifle, Jager has a carbine which more or less was his unique thing. I'd say with him it's just giving the defender's another rifle as to make Vigil stand out since his gadget is pretty weak. Still doesn't excuse Ela though.

they're adding a system to choose an operator to ban for each match. So if you hate ela, you can choose to ban her from the enemy team, and the enemy team in turn can ban someone from yours, like thermite or thatcher. Similar to how many mobas work.

To be honest it seems like people are CONSTANTLY complaining that the game's gonna die over semi-trivial things. The devs have clearly made mistakes (Release Ela, currently broken Blitz etc) But generally they've done a pretty decent job of fixing issues. The game's genuinely progressing in a fairly positive direction, though I hope they'll avoid adding any more "Global" operators like Finka and Lion.

I actually like how ops like hibana/buck/ying are alternative takes on existing ops. The reason I feel like they ran out of ideas as well is because 2/3 of the defenders released post op health were trap users and finka/lion only get 2 new guns between them and recycle old guns for the rest of their loadouts. There hasn't been a new 3armor attacker since vanilla either. I feel as there's still real-world gadgets they coulda been doing a spin on by now. I'm not exactly against nanomachines but i feel it was a bit of a gun jump

You're right because you can't just add something like CTF to it, but i'd get a kick out of a mystery-operator gametype or maybe a gametype that doesn't reset the damage done to the building (casual only obviously)

Hostage is fine in my opinion, something like CTF could work though as a kind of non-lethal hostage. I think something like defend the VIP would be good as well, but let the defense move the VIP to keep him out of harm's way or something. Surely there has to be more modes you can add.

I've actually only played Hostage for the last couple months, since I enjoy that it forces both teams to watch their fire, not toss explosives wantonly and the occasional stealth hostage steal/human shield can turn games around pretty hard.

Heres why they do all this future bullcrap and the like they do not want to seem "boring".

When Buck was added people acted like "why couldn't we just get an M26 attachment? Why is his #SPECIAL ability a fucking under slung shotgun" so Ubisoft just thought hmmm might as well just push the fabric a little. However as a side note I do not think Siege could have a regular grenade launcher to be honest it would just be like BFBC2 where people just get insta kills with it. Also the ladder operator is shit bad idea and should stop getting brought up.

Like for instance I always wanted a motion sensor operator but Ubisoft wanted to spice Lion up a bit and I always wanted an attacker medic and of course they wanted to spice Finka up a bit. Since apparently Capitao had healing bolts but they thought "he was not helping the team a lot"

Peeking and headshotting people doesn't really take a lot of skill at least not in my opinion, but then again I came from logging in thousands of hours into CS over the years. I think having some sort of multiple life mode where you are trying to take an objective from defenders might be interesting.

When things didn't happen the way he wanted, he started going on a rant about reporting us to Ubisoft. Are these room practically undefendable in Hostage mode, assuming reasonable levels of competence on the attackers? I know Cash Room is getting reworked, but the others I dread having to defend (casual only player). On the other hand, Bank Vault is fantastic to defend.

Place frost traps at the window, brake the wall on the side with stairs so you can aim both at the window and the wall outside as soon they breach it and you have a clear aim at the roof and hostage. Have roamers in garage and bar to cover the flank

Tower is one of my favorite maps to play Jackal on though. I love killing roamers on that map who think they are hot shit. To be honest its one of my more favorite maps because people can't spawnpeek at all, which is probably why I hate Bank so much because 90% of the time you spawn Ally and a good 70% of the time you get someone who spawn rushes your team.

The same could be said about any weapon. The only way to balance that out is to make RoF near-constant for every automatic weapon in the game, which would make most weapons feel identical. As headshots occur less at short-range which the weapon (now) more excels at, and only Casual players really try to spray 'n pray, it's not that noticeable in practice. In theory, maybe, but it's not as if you can reliably tell that an enemy Ela managed to headshot you through sheer luck.

I'm still enjoying the game just as much. It seems like every time an update comes out people explode with rage for some reason. I don't think the changes that are being made have negatively impacted the game. I would prefer they revert the "ADS cancels active reloads" change in the latest patch though. It makes reloading far too safe.

You still go Defence/Attack/D/A/etc, and once you hit overtime (Which you will if banning Thatcher is somehow a guaranteed win for defence) then it's random who gets Attack and Defence to begin with.

Nah, there are very, very few sites you can't deal with jammers/banditos through some other method. Gimmie a site you think you REQUIRE thatcher for, and I'll tell you an alternate method.

(Admittedly these methods are slower, but often not by much)

club house top floors are brutal without a hard-breach. going up the stairs is suicidal if the enemy has numbers on you

It's not about not having a hard-breach, it's about circumventing the need for a Thatcher.

In the top floor bedroom you can either shoot the jammers/batteries from the rightmost window fairly easily, or blow out the space above the reinforcements and just toss a grenade in. (Or just throw it in through the dronehole.) There's also the option of using Fuze for this. He's underutilised as a method of removing gadgets from a site. He doesn't have to get kills to be worthwhile.

For cashroom/cctv (God knows why you'd pick this site) you can shoot them from the window, or deal with the ones in CCTV from the hatch.

Any of these methods allow for subsequent opening of hard walls by Thermite (Preferred) or Hibana. Issues regarding ADSs stopping grenades can be circumvented by either burning a Hibana charge, or tossing some flashes in first.

There's a couple things about the new automated chat shoahing system that people on reddit are ignoring:

1: It's really not nice to feel like you're walking on eggshells, even if you don't drop nigger every once in a while. People are very quick to drop reports, after all, given how beta most people who freak out about calling them gay are in games.
2: Banning people from games has actually became a monetization scheme, given people will most likely come back. Look at how fast League of Legends bans people, and how they know they'll come back and rebuy shit or buy another account or whatever. If people like the game, and they're as dumb as the usual consumer is, they'll repurchase it after the growing more strict rules nail them.
3: A good chunk of people who say a mean word online to you aren't actually some kind of person that strings up anyone that is of a different skin color. A good chunk of people say the word, whether its cathartic or to put emphasis on whatever the situation is.
Basically ubisoft gay.

number 3 is particularly concerning if this is to be a word-ban because that's punishing people in 5stacks for palling around with one another. I mean most 5stacks would be using mumble/disagreement/whatever but it's the principle of it. A chunk of the userbase seemingly being for word policing is pretty disgusting and they forget times like in the dark souls 3 (iirc) name system it would censor out "knight' as "k***ht" or something along those lines because it contained the string of letters "nig". The game has a mute button already this is just a waste of resources

It's less of a word ban and more of a ban bot, based on what is stated. One of the big things I saw in League was "rage-baiting" to get people banned you didn't like. This is the perfect system for that, alongside the report for toxic behavior setup.

I have more than enough renown to get them both out the gate so no goypass for me. The gadgets sound savage on paper but I feel like it will be a dokke situation again where with the limited charges and situational use they will be used poorly more times than used successfully.

Finka's nanomachines increase ADS and recoil control.

Lion certainly seems the weaker of the two, as he gets cav hacks but the enemies know when they're getting deployed, and can avoid it by stopping or getting in a jammer. Finka on the other hand gets revive anywhere, less recoil, and a health buff.

I imagine Lion can be devastating if his gadget is used in the middle of a firefight when people are trying to move around and relocate but it's only like a 5 second tracker isn't it?

docs heals seem most valuable, icons were changed too yeah. A lot of ops seem like potentially bad picks too. I tried kapkan but for the time it takes to deploy his gadgets only to kill one grunt feels like a waste

I forgot to add, doc had a 50round magazine p90 which seems like one of the most valuable things to have in outbreak, i haven't tried pandemic mode yet though
