The wiki is your friend. The wurmpedia one, the other one has a bunch of broken links. You can discover many things just by right clicking things for context menus, but not everything needs to be done with right clicking.

In general, working in a group is more efficient than working alone, but you CAN live alone if that's what you're after. Right clicking the ground and hitting "forage" will find things like cotton, vegetables, coins and rocks or branches. Cotton, as well as anything made from cotton such as clothing, can bandage wounds from combat by double clicking it to 'activate it' then hitting c to open your character screen, the wound screen to see your body and wounds, then right clicking the wound and hitting "first aid". Vegetables can be eaten to regain food, they can also be crushed or have their seeds picked to plant more and get higher quality food as your farming skill rises. Cooking can be used later as well to improve food. If you want to mine, do not click mine on the surface, you want to 'activate' your pick by double clicking it and hitting "tunnel" in the right click menu or the action menu. You can move or lock your HUD in game via right click menus as well. Welcome to wurm.

Your starter tent functions as a spawn point. If you're about to bite the dust, throw it down on the ground so you don't have to hike all the way back when you respawn.
At your starting stats you can only ride cows. To ride them you activate the rope you start with, Lead the cow, once you're Leading the cow you can Ride it. You can use the rope again to Lead another animal once you are Riding the cow.
If an enemy is after you and you're on foot, a quick way to escape is to head into the water. Note that some enemies can swim however. This includes bears, crocodiles, turtles, and anacondas. Crocodiles are fast as a player on foot so avoid them at all costs.
You have a stamina bar so you cannot run from an enemy forever, you'll have to stop eventually but you cannot regain stamina while in combat. Stamina is everything. If you have low stamina, all actions take longer and zero stamina makes almost all attacks against you land as well as giving you no experience for completed actions. If you're swimming and have no stamina you will start to drown. The way to avoid drowning is to stay perfectly still and wait out the drowning damage tick until it goes away and then resume moving until you get hit by drowning damage again. If you're near land but it's too steep to climb up, you can go into the character window, right click your body and activate the Last Gasp ability which will give you enough stamina to enter Climbing Mode to clamber up onto land, possibly saving your life.

As a new player you will spawn with certain newbie buffs that last for 24 hours of gameplay (they don't run out when you log out). The first is a constant aura of light around you so you can see at night and in dark caves. The second is less need to eat and drink. The third is faster and more forgiving healing ticks (medium wounds will heal on their own when for normal players this wouldn't happen). The fourth is a general reduction in aggro radius for all hostile mobs making it easier for your newbie ass to maneuver through the wilderness.

You can only respawn at your tent if you drop it inside your own Kingdom's influence. Dropping it anywhere else does nothing. This is why newfags who drop their tent before guard tower is even built always have their tents used for bandages, it's an unwritten rule that brainlet byproducts are repurposed for the greater good.

when you're dealing with thousands of an item this doesn't really work. logs are the worst offender because they require bulk transport and that means like 10 at a time while wearing nothing. it's not like I can make them on the spot and put them in a bsb or whatever with something similarly heavy like rock shards.

It's a simple mod that most every successful server runs for good reason. It's nice convenience with no downside.

I've played on one of these servers before. Don't waste your time. First of all, it's 1x1x and no one wants to bother with that. It's also PvE which is just stupid, why join a Russian server if you can't even kill Russians? There's also the fact that Russians are notoriously bad and corrupt admins, especially when there are non-Russian players, for example one server we played on we simply weren't allowed to become King by taking the test and it was manually given out by the admins to their friends.

Never mind the whole "download this executable from virus.ru xaxa trust us goy". The "introductory client" is just their way of saying their pirate client. Except it's a pirate client they've rigged to only be able to connect to their server.

Also I dunno where you see that it has 50 players, but you link says it has 13. We current have more than that on our own even subtracting Fenlaw alts.

I figured it was their pirate client, I connected using the same pirate client I'm using now to connect to this, the one in OP with steamemu files, and I got right in, so I guess it isn't required.

I can't find any rule's anywhere on their forum. The only thing I can find is their FAQ which suggests they have zero problem with multi-boxing and they give you a batch script to do it.They also have their mod-lists posted, no rules there.

They used to shill trustpilot on their site, not anymore, it's gone from every page. Go to trustpilot and look at the negative reviews. G2A is literally chinks so I have no faith in the 200K+ fake 1 word five star reviews, the negative reviews though are specific and not good at all.

in case nobody realizes the only funding source on traders is kingdom funds, the trader only refreshes out of that pool, and only refreshes if you've bought back 10% or more of the shit you've sold it.

the kingdom pool is entirely made up out of deed maintenance. due to the lack of bounty mod, the only source of new income into this in-game economy is from rare forage rolls. your never going to get more money out of traders than the kingdom has dumped forage rolls into the deed maintenance.

this means that if anyone really wanted to fuck nubcity, you could start deed and put your own trader in with alts, and split off their kingdom pool with free deeds. it would only take 2 or 3, at which point they are no longer able to make deed maintenance unless they forage full time.

this also makes me seriously doubt that nubcity magically came up with the funds to fund their new deed after their mayor quit. i'm sure the admin inter-veined and made it happen. the admin has no desire to do anything about it unless nubcity complains about it, which i'm sure you will when you can't make deed maintenance, probably not if your hots. there's a clear bias.

I sold shit at spawn that nearly doubled our cash in one go cos it's all I was focused on early on, I kept a small amount in reserve and then all that shit went down and fucked the money in token. I then added my reserve when the thing got refounded, so yeah we did get the money honestly.

it's actually the reverse, as soon as that goes into your deed maintenance it get's put into the kingdom pool and split equally among all the traders in the kingdom.

the only way to spend that is to put it into your deed maintenance or buy some shit off a trader. in both cases the money goes into a kingdom wide pool, and is then redistributed at regular intervals equally to all of the traders in the kingdom.

So if you buy 4 silver worth of shit off a trader at spawn, and there's 4 other deeds with traders, than that money get's split 5 ways, the spawn trader, and the traders at the 4 other deeds all get an equal cut of that money the next time the trader ups their cash (assuming 10% of the stuff sold to the trader was purchased, if it wasn't, then no new money is given to the trader).

Just gonna post this here so everyone can read it and understand why you're wrong, I don't really care if you read it because it's better if you stay gone anyway.

What happened was, the JK city is a large deed and requires a lot of shekels to upkeep, and so people traded lots of stuff to the trader for money.
Then the deed was disbanded by Nokloya and all those shekels (((vanished))) into Nok's bank account.
So they had to gather tons of shekels yet again, and part of that meant going back to the trader.
So two runs of fully funding a 50x50+ deed = trader out of money.
This is by design though. The trader is supposed to run out of money if you sell him too much stuff, otherwise you could just sell crap forever and change them into transmutation rods to get whatever ore you want, or stones to keep yourself from losing anything on death, etc.

New money enters the system through foraging which creates new coins, and from people selling things to the token which trickles in a small amount of coin. Money can return to the trader when people buy stuff or when deed upkeep is collected. Additionally, in WO, inactive non-premium players have their bank accounts (manually) charged silver every so often and this returns money from dormant bank accounts to the economy. The admins can do this if necessary but as of right now it really isn't needed. The king's coffers in JK for example have 100 silver just sitting there, and the trader's money is already regenerating on its own.

This system works because ultimately the only places silver ends up are with the trader, the deed upkeep, or in a bank account. Traders can then redistribute the money to players or to deed upkeep through taxes. Deed upkeep is reinvested into the economy. Bank accounts are drained if the player is inactive. The money doesn't just disappear, and the only "inter-veintion" necessary in this case is pruning the bank accounts of inactive players, which happens after a while and hasn't happened so far. The money supply actually only expands over time, and this is offset by the fact that some of the money lies dormant in bank accounts.

If you are a poor player that desperately needs shekels, and also for some reason joined a PVP server that pits kingdom against kingdom then left and became hostile to your own kingdom (while still being a part of that kingdom), you still have options to make money. You can sell things to the token for some copper, take up foraging, join another kingdom and use their trader, sell materials to other players, kill other players and take their money, or drain a deed and steal the upkeep. In the future there will probably even be quests available that have coin rewards.

By the way, the bounty mod wouldn't even fix the problem you're mentioning. All it does is accelerate the player's ability to make money. It doesn't create money from nowhere, the money is withdrawn from the king's coffers, which means eventually it would run out. "Nubcity" outnumbers you 30:1 or so, so they'd be raking in the dough while you eke out a few shekels from luring cats into your templars or whatever. After a week or so the king would run out of cash, Spurda would have 99 silver in its upkeep fund, and you'd be back here bitching about how there's no money.

Yeah except it did. Starting a deed is free. Traders start with over 60 silver. Right now Spurda has only 26 silver which is just over a month's upkeep, and the deed used to be even smaller than it is now - even if they had to get 30 silver twice, that would only drain the trader once. Which it did. Funny how that works out. This isn't even including foraging and other sources of income.

You're wrong yet again. The ratio was (and is currently) over 10% without anyone buying a single thing because of how the trader works. The ratio starts well above that and works its way down as stuff is sold to the trader. You have to sell enough stuff to the trader to equal 90% of the initial value of its inventory in order to bring it down below 10%. "requirement 10% being purchased" isn't actually correct, rather it's a 0.10 ratio of investment:revenue, regardless of whether anything was bought or not.

I get that you're salty you were disowned by your own kingdom, but attempting to get other people to quit too by claiming ADMIN ABOOSE not only isn't going to work, it's completely unwarranted when you're just pulling it out of your ass in order to justify why you ragequit. If you really want to play the game just come back with a different name and join MR and hermit it up, or better yet, join HOTS and make JK your mortal enemy, all you have to do is embrace Libila. When the server settings were changed before the server started. All traders have an increased amount of money specifically to avoid the kind of problem you're having right now. In JK, HOTS, and MR. HOTS trader right now has a ton of money left over, and the MR trader is almost entirely unused with ~60s in his pockets, it was just JK's that got drained due to their specific circumstances driving them to actually do so.

In fact, even if the initial trader money amount were set to 1s, the traders would still have more than that because the server had run for a while and their ratios were over 10%. The fact that you keep looking stuff up on the Wurmpedia when it's written for WO (and poor even for that), then try to act like some kind of knowledgeable authority on how the game works, is ridiculous.

And even if some admin had gone around to every starter deed trader and given them 50s, so what? Isn't that exactly what you're begging them to do right now, add more money to the system? It doesn't give any kingdom an advantage over anyone else anyway. I've scouted MR territory and I've spotted a work in progress land bridge between MR spawn and a nearby river, but nothing else.

We may already need a new plate guy, there's nobody on food, construction has almost halted, has the burn-out come so quickly?

We discussed that in village chat this morning and there were a few things done wrong:

We really should have gotten a group of normalfags in and turned the server into a three way.
The server started when default posted the IP 250 posts in. Instead we should have had a grand opening-esque thread when the old one died.
The new OP done when the server was up didn't have an IP, or the crack for piratefags.
Autistic retards like oyveus being gangrenous pillow biters in the thread instead of playing the damn game. I have 1 friend who noped out because of this, so that's one anecdotal casualty.
Maybe coordinate with the hotpockets and get some sort of publicity around Holla Forums itself

Basically the server is fine, but we should've done any jew tactic we could find to attract more people interested in the game.

I'm not using disagreement. Having to use disagreement to contact an admin when there's in-game chat or even these threads (which are the only public facing discussion for this server) is stupid, doubly so with the rep disagreement has here on 8ch. Brohan admins, who were from 4chan, were far more accessible. You could email them, of all things, they had a simple website and changelog, were responsive and kept you updated. Still browsed the threads after the server closed and offered helpful advice on the new one getting started.

Particularly numerous and heavy things are a pain in the ass to move, clearing out an FSB for example forces you to go one stack/as many as you can carry at a time. The same goes for ores from a crate. If you have 150 ore in one and can only move 7 to 10 at a time depending on what you can carry it's a chore.
