"Death" Ray Schmidt, the youngest part of the ledgendary Tankcraft family Schmidt, sat in silence for a moment. His bright blonde short-crop hair and thin, boney face made him look so much like his ledgendary father and brother (minus facial hair) After a moment a grumble appeared on his face and he flew into one long giant 'FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!"

Arthur Deport, the crew's gunner sighed as he began noting down the time and the moment the match was over.

"That was one hell of an ambush, mate…"

"Yeah…they hid well behind the fucking…fucking houses. Should've headed for the fucking northen bridge." Ray crossed his arms as he stated the facts that were now blindingly obvious to all. 7 tanks…knocked out in one go. Ambushed. Smashed from all sides in the village. Humiliatingly so.

"So, what was this about doing it all in one hour, buddy?" Oktaaf De Wereld's smugness spat off the audiocomms, while all his teammembers crawled out on top of their tanks to celebrate. The group of battered, half disabled tanks just stood there as their enemies cheered in a giant circle of tanks and men around them.

Ray switched his M46 patton tank's to general before switching it back to team only shortly after"No comment."

"51 minutes in…we lost. End of note." Arthur wrote it down.

"Now i have to listen to his smug ass yapping at it all day…" Ray looked at Arthur in a daze for a moment.

"What?"

"51 minutes?"

"Yeah…"

There was a devilish, devilish grin on Ray's face, so intense that it seemed to unsettle Arthur.

"Lucky!" Luke Querian, the team's resident Belgian and driver looked up in confusion. Get ready to get moving soon."

Ray pressed the communications button. "Okay, do you fellas trust me?"

After a short buzz he could hear Lenke Ettenbark, commander of the Lux-4 tank (a m4 sherman) pop up. 'We do."

"Okay…all deactivated tanks, halt. All still activate tanks…and get behind me in the row. Casually, of course."

"What are you doing?" Kert Derian, Ray's number two…and commander of Lux-2 questioned him.

"Trust me."

"HEY!" Ray yelled at the commander of the damned Jagdtiger that blocked the road and literally led to their defeat. "THE MATCH IS OVER NOW GET OUT OF THE WAY!"

The Dutchman shrugged before putting his tank in reverse, unblocking the path. The game was over, anyhow, and he'd won. Little did he know that they'd never get to really enjoy that victory because of him not questioning anything. And why would he have, he argued later. No one said anything, he just moved his tank out of the way…

"FULL POWER FORWARD!" Markus screamed into the microphone as his tank's outlet kicked up a crapton of smoke, Lucky doing his best to get as much accelleration out of it as was possible. Behind them, 5 more tanks started to stream forward, utterly baffeling the celebrating North-Flemish. "Wait, the match was over, right? We've won right?"

"What the fuck are they doing?"

Meanwhile, in a nearby presenting studio."

"So, that's the end of the match. Luxemburg United, led by Ray Schmidt, has been decisively ambushed and defeated by Oktaaf De Wereld's North-Flanders team! I'm Markus Kriegmeister, and we are signing out for…"

"Hold on." The smooth presenter seemed somewhat baffled as he focussed on the confused sounds in his ear. "Hold on a moment…we're…we're still on. The match is still on, somehow? How?"

For a moment, the screens flickerd, then it showed a row of 6 tanks, all painted in Luxemburg's national colours rushing through the dutch countryside.

"But…this can't be right, they lost…" The presenter seemed to not understand what was going on at all. The image shifted to 11 tanks in pursuit, but quite a while behind them.

Markus laughed as he heard the confusion.

"What the hell are you doing?" Octaaf now sounded far less smug and more confused and outraged.

"Going to the finish line! See you there, "Buddy"!"

"But you lost! You…LOST! Why are you still doing this futile thing?"

"Why not try catching us then, with all your tanks celebrating and getting drunk!" Markus laughed.

Lux-2 popped up on the radio 'What are we doing though? This isnt going to get us any points?"

"What's the time, Arthur?"

"53 minutes."

"All right. Listen up, we're going to go to the finish through the northern bridge. Southern bridge be damned. Lucky steered the tank over a roundabout, turning right as the city zoomed alongside them in the distance across the water. Up ahead was nothing but a small road amidst the countryside….and on top of that road stood only one enemy tank. One of hte reserves, held up north now came down to celebrate.

"Keep moving, keep moving. Carlus! Load!" Ray flicked on general comms again. "FIRE WHEN READY! ONE ENEMY UP AHEAD!"

The enemy's tanks crew didn't see it coming, even though they were looking right at it. By the moment they had figured it out, a tank round had struck them in the front and disabled all their systems.

"Okay, all tanks, circle around it!" Without paying regard to the Dutchmen that were yelling at them they pushed onward, taking a small shortcut through the countryside to reach the side of the town. A tank round flung past Lux-1, only barely missing it. Two hostile tanks were closing in, one blocking the path to the west (and the northern bridge) the other coming in from the north.

"Carlus! Take out the western tank. NOW! NOW! NOW!" It wasn't that Carlus was such an impeccable shot, but his last two shots had been at two tanks standing still right ahead of them. Any novice could make such shots, and so did Carlus. The western tank was disabled, smoke coming out of it's deactivated shape. "TURN WEST!"

The tank crunched for a moment before it turned left, onto the road surrounded by houses on both sides, blocked by the deactivated tank up ahead that poked out of a side street.

"What do we do now?"

"RAM IT!"

"WHAT?"

"RAM IT OUT OF THE WAY!"

"Ray, lux-9 here, taking fire from the rear. NF light tanks are taking potshots."

"NO TIME! RAM HIM OUT OF THE WAY AND TURN THE BARREL TO THE LEFT!" Ray's crew complied, as it was now obvious to the deactivated tank's crew just what was going to happen, they could only brace for impact as one tank slammed into a norther, delivering quite a bang as it pushed the tank out of the way enough for the rest of the tanks to follow behind.

"We're THROUGH! FULL POWER AHEAD!"

And there it lay. The northern bridge. Just beyond it…just beyond it lay the finish line.

`WHATS OUR TIME!`

´56 minutes!`

`Go! Go! Go!`

The small tank convoy pushed over the bridge, looking for their target…the finish line. As they could see the crowds piled into the stands built at the end of the large parking lot up ahead. On the right of them the river sheldt passed by, little sparkles of sunlight shining off the water.

With a decisvie quick dash, all six tanks raced across the finish line. Ray unlocked the top of his tank, standing on top of it, screaming at the top of his lungs `STOP THAT CLOCK!` While pointing at the public clock that counted the time since the start of the match.

It stopped, at 58: 47.

"LESS THEN ONE HOUR! HA!" Ray got off his tank, starting to cheer and play to the confused crowds. Pretty quickly he was surrounded by his baffled teammates as he kept on cheering and celebrating..all alone. The crowd fell silent.

"What are you doing?"

"Oh, hush up, get here guys." As they all got close…Ray merely said…"I'll give each of you 100 euros if you celebrate for hte rest of the day as if we've won."

"What? Why>?"

"200 euroes. Each. But we have to celebrate and cheer all day today as if we have won. And the drinks and food are on me. Take it or leave it."

There were one or two shrugs before his team joined in his celebrations, starting to hug and shake hands, and laugh. It was all fake…at the start, but after a moment, and the cheering and the joying of the usually grumpy Ray, they seemed to forgot about losing at all. the crowd, still confused, responded well to their cheering and celebrating. They didnt know why, but it was infectious.

"Thank you! THANK YOU!" Markus waved at the crowd as he went for another shaking session with his team members, adding in a quick "If you all lift me up and cheer i will slap on another 100 euros." And wouldn't you know, moments later, his crew suddenly lifted him off the ground, carrying him up high and cheering. It was cycnical as all hell…but it worked. Fake laughter, and fake happiness can only last so long.

Finally, Oktaaf and his winning team arrived to the finish line…to look confused at the group of losers celebrating as if they'd won the Benelux cup today

if you haven't noticed already you can fuze through wooden ceilings too, on some objectives this applies and you should bomb the corners, a good move is to place a bomb (assuming theres no roamers or some one has your back), move trying to predict where people might run to, detonate and place another one where you've moved to. Bringing the LMG is a good choice too because in some instances you can also spray through walls while charging and really disrupt the enemy team.

Most games end for me with like 1 kill, 4 assists, 4 deaths. I'm an assist machine. Though lately I've been getting better and going on real slaughters. Get MVP every couple hours, killed all 5 dudes one game too.

What does Link's Awakening do that makes it special? I'd like a good 2D Zelda because I prefer 2D to 3D anyway. My biggest issue with LTTP was only in the GBA version. Someone decided to add all of Toon Link's voice clips in and it's the most obnoxious design change I can think of. Also I can't stand Toon Link tbh.

It's 2D, breaks away from the typical rescue-Zelda plot, and has a lot of exploration involved. Lots of fun, even 20 years after I first played it.
