I didn't screenshot that one when it happened, but everytime I make a new character I test it against Wampa with the expected result that it will lose. Ushi Oni won against Wampa, and I don't think it was because Wampa got tired that time, it's because Ushi overpowered him. I haven't uploaded Ushi Oni to the workshop yet, I might do that soon. She's not the only /monster/ that's beaten Wampa though, I actually forgot to mention a fight I did ages ago between the MGE Yeti and Wampa where the Yeti won, so she's pretty strong too.

It has less to do with Wampa and more on what the other guy relies on for their basic offense. If it involves trying to pick the opponent up they instead eat a free counter from the opponent. So it goes with any Giant/Giant style wrestler: if the clinch is 50/50 and 80% of your offense is body slams & such, you lose to them effectively 90% of the time. Giant vs giant, whoever tries to lift less has the advantage. Of course, outside of that giants have shit stamina and worse recovery, with breathing helping only marginally. Additionally their move affinities are bad so every move takes more of their limited gas. So it is not like they are invincible. If you go with strikes, submissions and/or non-lifting takedowns then you have the advantage since they lost a lot for the no-lift trait that was bypassed. They do effectively blank classic power types though and do so in a way that makes for a lackluster show.

Good breathing and above 0 discretion eliminate this. Not to mention, no, it's not lifts. Even things like technical kicks fail unless they have high ukemi will fail. There is one exception to this and this is standing strikes and whereas a player vs cpu can make that work cpu vs cpu striking without any grapples is not very good.
There's a reason old time fire pro folks have had a big huge mess about giant sizes characters and giant defense type. Giant offense is basically purposefully crappy to try to offset it but you get a guy with good breathing and now he counters nearly every grapple.
Watch the matches with wampa and Hands of Evil. It didn't matter who was fighting him, but in the last one Hands did indeed especially pummel Rawk Hawk and Golbez who distinctly had wrassling movesets.

Like the games mechanics aren't meant to be balanced, they're meant to be thematic. There are very few differences to American and heel style except heel falls off and has worse offense, the only benefits being they counter more frequently (until they lose more stamina) and the crowd boos when heel offense taunts.

Well here's some interesting tidbits about Wampa's CPU: He doesn't ever climb the turnbuckle, he doesn't do Irish whip running attacks (only counters), and his showmanship and discretion are unmodified. He's a simple power character with giant fight and return styles, so the best way to counter that would be to tire him out. I made Tank in a similar way, but he also has very poor stamina to balance out his powerful attacks, as all giants should have. Wampa just takes a bit longer to tire out, but when he's out of stamina he's basically finished.

Technical could work if it's done right. Shooters don't do well in this game from what I understand, they function like mma fighters, which doesn't do well against a wrestler in this game. A technique which could emulate a high flyer could be the panther fight style, but I can't exactly remember what that one does other than having good diving moves and pins. Whatever a wrestler could do to either evade or endure about 8 minutes of ass-kicking until Wampa is tired is the best way to beat him, save for actually overpowering him, which would be hard to do if his opponent isn't a power or giant style wrestler. Neither of those work. Technical moves actually get stomped. The only things that really tend to work on a giant before they're "worn down" are standing moves and anything that they ukemi through. High punches, headbutts, elbows etc. are answered with the elbow. Lifts are knee'd, similarly with low kicks or lower technical moves. And this. If you set the breathing to good the "stamina problem" is largely squashed. Tack that on to the fact that most giant return style characters are giant sized (a universal +2 to all stats, including all defenses,) and anons are jamming tens on them, and you have a serious discrepancy.
A note on shooters is that there's indeed an effective way to make a CPU shooter. Player fighter characters are easily made good, but often times they still rely on grapples. Terry Bogard and Bryan Fury are two really evident examples that we've seen within Mania, and I won't like that crits are a part of it, but often times they get beaten by the cream of the crop type and smash the rest. In fact, grapplers and fighters no sell hard at the beginning of the fight to the point they are almost as defensive as a giant, but they actually lose their counter power fast unless they're giant-SIZED characters with good defense. They'll definitely resist lifts etc. like champs but they're quite beatable. They're not bad by any stretch, just more difficult to make well.

try adding more black-colored shit to the back of the head until it looks somewhat natural. Trial and error until it looks right is what I usually do. I think that looks good so far, maybe take off some of the highlight on the hat unless it looks objectively better with it and add the rest of the vest to the waist area, and it should be good.
