The graphics and music were very polished but everything else felt so unfinished. The bosses almost all had just one phase. It was hard to tell how you were supposed to damage them and it was impossible to tell how they were going to attack, so your first try you were almost guaranteed to die against an attack you hadn't seen before. The maps were small and there was very little exploration to do, instead there was just a bunch of backtracking. Crafting was extremely disappointing, there are only 5 upgrades and the only collectibles in the game are ingredients and blueprints for those upgrades and they are all literally useless except for the speed bonus to make the game slightly less tedious.
And what the hell is going on with the story? So the bird aliens were harvesting the planet for ivory? Or was it an artificial planet? But they never clarified where the arks came from? What are the planet spines that were mentioned a few times? So much is just left unexplained.

All of the Vinesauce fanbase are sixteen year olds that watch Vinny and Joel because they’ve out grown Pewdiepie and Markiplier. They either gravitate towards the Wop and the Swede or they go to the FUCKING LEAFS at Super Best Friends.

She does quite a bit in the story, but everyone around her fucks it up. Has some great scenes. Royal getting taught what fear is was really entertaining. Her boss fights are the most satisfying. Shame what happens to her in the end. She had a hard life.

Black is the only character that made any sense in this story. Her boss fights were the best ones, even over the final boss stages.
Elro was a cunt for no reason in the end, and Royal was useless most of the time.

I just came back and realized what is the biggest flaw of this game, the whole map design is bullcrap. All the worlds have this linear hallways that elongate the travel time to extremes. Unless you got the speed tweaks, you'll spend 40% of your time travelling and backtracking because everything is hallways. Enemy placing is also lackluster due to this, which makes it so there's no true incentive to fight them other than to repair tweaks, which means you can go through the whole game firing at nothing. In fact, the tweak design encourages it. Every world has this flaw. The Tower is the worst part because the vertical sections were pretty good, but everything stalls awfully due to the story and the FUCKING crawling section. Also in the tower, the swordsman boss is killed as a joke and nothing is explained about who he was or why he did that shit. The game should've shortened the hallway sections and focused into making enemies a real threat instead of forcing you to skip them for good.
Only the puzzles and the presentation are okay. Hate that there's only about three boss songs and two of them were played during Royal's fights.

There's two secret bosses that both have the same shit dynamic of going all over the map, finding the macguffins and rubbing walls the right way. It's stupid. At least the bosses were somewhat good, but since the exploration in this game is shit, it's not worth it.
It's not even good for casual gaming because the tweak system is stupid and exploring feels like a chore. No normans will play this for the extra part of the game. Honestly, the tweak system should've been reworked.

The Corner sisters are easier to obtain and yield a better tweak. Good to get if you're early on the game and don't get hit by stupid shit. Not worth it after Black's fights.
The Fitzroy guy is a bit more challenging, definitely a good fight,but glossed over with a longer unlock time required, and a cliche, unnecessary love story.
Really though, it's the stupidest tweaks to reward you with. Getting a double jump tweak right after every inch of platforming was done already is stupid. The randomizer tweak is okay; adds a different level of challenge in fucky ways, but you can't replay many of the things on an almost finished map.
I think the tweaks are intended to be used in NG+, but having to go through all that shit just for a better NG+ is bullcrap.
