Will history absolve him?

Will history absolve him?

If communism wins, they might see him as a incredibly flawed leader.
He'd probably be a historical peculiarity like Ghengis Khan, but not anyone most people would admire.

Russians love the guy.

Thats all Joe would have wanted.

He is an important figure in their national myth.

Hopefully

...

I wasn't aware that there was anything to absolve him of.

Perhaps a better question is will history ever forgive his enemies like Hitler and Trotsky? I think not.

It will only further indict him

The only people who have ever liked him are right-wing slavs and edgy western kids.

He's what happens when lumpenproles become leaders.

Yes, the fire rises.

Name ONE (1) thing he did wrong

Tankies are the biggest retards on this board.

Worse than Nazbols

Got into politics

Probably not. You can even argue that he helped cause the decline of the left in the 20th century.

What a stupid answer, by that standard Lenin and everyone else was wrong to get into politics and they should have just let tsarism continue which is of course wrong.

Not with that body coung he racked up…

You're in for a rude awakening.

He was rude to Bordiga-chan.

Also he was a counterrevolutionary, guilty of genocide, etc etc.

Except for how difficult things were under the tsar and afterwards the soviet union stood alone but both these these things changed. By any metric the left only started to decline after he died due to revisionism.

"It is understood that our Party must do its duty by its fraternal parties and support them and their peoples in the struggle for liberation and in their struggle for keeping peace. This is what the Party does. After the seizure of power by our Party in 1917, and after our Party took real measures to eliminate the yoke of capitalists and landlords, the representatives of the' fraternal parties, inspired by our daring and the success of our Party, gave it the name "Shock Brigade" of the revolutionary movement and the workers' movement of the world. Thereby they expressed the hope that the success of the "Shock Brigade" would alleviate the sufferings of the people in the situation of being under the capitalist yoke. I think that our Party has fulfilled these hopes, especially in the time of the second world war, as the Soviet Union smashed the German and Japanese fascist tyranny and liberated the European and Asian peoples from the danger of fascist slavery.

Of course it was very difficult to fulfil this honourable task as long as there was only one "Shock Brigade," as long as it stood alone, the avant-garde in the fulfillment of this task. But that is in the past. Now it is completely different. Now, from China and Korea to Czechoslovakia and Hungary, new "Shock Brigades" have appeared on the map, in the form of people's democracies; now the struggle has been eased for our Party and also the work proceeds better.

Special attention must be paid to the communist, democratic or worker and peasant parties that are not yet in power and which must carry out their work under the yoke of strict, bourgeois rule. Of course their work is more difficult. But their work is not so difficult as it was for us Russian Communists in the time of the Tsar, as the smallest step forward was declared a serious crime. The Russian Communists nevertheless held firm, did not retreat from difficulties and came to victory. The same will be the case with these parties." - Stalin's last speech

Red-pill me on "Socialism in one country"

It doesn't seem like it worked very well.

Churchill was absolved by the west and he killed more people than Stalin

In order for socialism to spread globally, it must first start somewhere before spreading elsewhere.

Instead of socialism in one country the ultralefts offer us socialism in no countries.

Best Communist Leader: Lenin or Fidel Castro, Maybe Ho Chi Minh

Worst: Tie Between Stalin, Pol Pot, Kim Jong Un, Kim Jong Il, Kim Il Sung, Nikita Krushchev, and Gorbechev

Wrong. It’s been 100 years since the Russian revolution. If it was 100 years old and socialism in one country, as you say, is real… then we should have full communism now.

I agree minus the genocide meme.

bordiga literally proposed that the soviet union should be run by retarded armchair leftcoms from around the globe.

he's probably the most "special" figure in the history of communism

If fascism wins then history will absolve him.

what the fuck is this supposed to mean? did you miss the events of 1991?

Why do tankies support fascism?

stalin is the most significant anti-fascist figure in human history…

they just like dictators, observe their hardon for putin and assad

Those are both self proclaimed right wing leaders.

Tankies do not belong on this board.

You're stepping on your own toes, tank.

nah

...

Except with this instance Stalin really was a fascist. It's completely applicable to his regime.

One of his cabinet members was an outspoken rapist and he let him do it.

...

Next you're going to say Hitler and Mussolini weren't fascists

The word you're looking for is "authoritarian," user. And I agree, authoritarianism is cancer.

The problem you don't see it, if communism wins, another Stalin will come.
Just because low energy leaders with desire to drive society into anarchy or more liberal left will never be respected by general population who live in such environment. They will be pushed away as soon as they want to impose their "non-authoritarian" authoritarian equality, and driven away by stronger men. Killed if necessary.
And then morality will be imposed on people, along side anti-gay and pro-family laws, just to ensure health of that society, so it will work with patriotism and hopes for the future, that was in chaos because of deeds of liberal left.
Also the more people in specific country support an ideology, the more chances it will succeed in taking over.
I am not in support of aggressive stalinism, but just pointing the facts about your wet dreams. Stalin in communist society is always an end up route, just like Trump in capitalism.

Fascism isn't synonymous with authoritarianism

Fascists are authoritarians, but the inverse isn't necessarily true

When obvious Holla Forums is obvious for insulting communist victory over fascism.

...

Ho Chi Minh was barely a communist at all. He originally tried to get US support.

No, Lrn Historical Materialism.
also wear the NazBol flag next time you post to warn people of your cancer.

He was conflicted about which ideological route to take.

You could certainly argue Hitler wasn't a fascist.

He's meming at you

This thread

Your pic related is the fault of Lenin for wanting to create a federation.. Stalin wanted a unitary state, where all sub-entities would be like Chechnya - they would have maintained unity.

Never. He's literally worse than Hitler.

EAT IT TANKIES

It already has actually. Even American historians love the guy nowadays.
