I'm awkwardly treading the line between Marxist and Christian at the moment. Because technology could very well enhance all of our lives. Through automation, life extension technology, bioengineering, etc. Luddites (in my experience at least) tend to come in many different forms, firstly there the people worried about those losing jobs (which is a reasonable concern) so I guess they would be the more classical Luddite, then there are the paranoid Luddites who are terrified of terminators or whatever, then there are the religious Luddites who decry any beneficial technology/research as evil and heretical, there are the Holla Forumsacks and other ideologues who oppose various technologies for various arbitrary reasons. an example would be artificial wombs, I've seen lots if opposition from Holla Forums because the children would supposedly be "soulless" and I've seen some feminists oppose sex robots because they supposedly "objectify" women, where as in reality it would likely decrease sexual harassment and the like.

So perhaps I'm wrong in saying Luddites are the worst, especially as my definition of Luddite is rather loose but I'm strictly speaking about those who oppose various beneficial and even life saving technology due to irrational and paranoid ideological/religious reasons
