Would anyone be down to make a serious leftypol discusison discord? We could try to do more /slacktivism/ like funding content creators or compiling resources
Xavier Butler
I am organizing in my own city but we started out of disgruntled Sanders supporters before DSA moved in. We go to every public event we can and try to argue for progressive/socialist solutions, we try to have rallies and marches centered around issues, and we're trying to hit the educational angle too. We've had plans to start doing regular documentary screenings but the first one we did had non-existent turnout and people suggested that nobody actually wants to watch an hour-long (or more) video.

Why did you choose dem soc? Why not do your direct actions under a different label? I thought the DSA was primarily an electoral party who wants political power in the current system. If this is your end goal - I'm sorry it's not gonna go well for you.
Enjoy your circle jerk

Honestly, if you aren't starting a Marxist-Leninist-Stalinist group, you might as well kill Rosa Luxemburg.
Landon Anderson
Starting a DSA chapter because it is easily digestible to current discourse. Since Bernie has given a face to the word "socialism" to the conservative and political apathetic fucks out there, it won't have an inherent negative stigma if I were to start a communist group (which I wish I could do)
Wyatt Wood
I see your point, It will go down smoother. And good luck on that. but Please educate those berners that "socialism" isn't just more social programs or when the government runs something, but rather worker control of the means of production.
Isaiah Richardson
All anons should make a DSA chapter/organizing committee if there are not already existing socialist organizations near you. It will be a rewarding use of your free time and there are endless possibilities of what direction you can take it in. It generally makes life under capitalism more bearable and makes online debate about leftism a lot less frustrating.
Colton Baker
Yes. DSA membership is only about 17k. This is the time to infiltrate and radicalize, before idpol splinters them to hell.
Brayden Howard
Just doing a quick search for my local chapter.
OH SHIT IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
Logan Jones
bump good luck OP. don't let the Holla Forums cynics discourage you.
Easton Lewis
I'm fully expecting a socdem invasion, luckily I'll be able to pin socialist resources, easy stuff like Richard wolf's lectures and small readings. Thank you comrade.
Thanks comrades, now is the time to organize
Justin Garcia
You're preaching to the choir of social democracy if this kind of stuff is the most you can do. At least try distilling points by revolutionary marxists eg. Lenin, Luxemburg, Bordiga.
Brody Russell
This is the type of advice I'm looking for, any specific resources or anything I could use for the inevitable socdem invasion? Just trying to get advice on resources to use and organizing tips
David White
Being well-read will be necessary in dealing with all sorts of anti-communists.
