No mention from Stefan whatsoever about capitalist alienation, shit wages, the menial nature of today's jobs. He shames the NEET for not working but gives a pass to the bourgeoisie who do not have to work because they make their money off the surplus labour of others.
Ian Myers
Doesn't this mean a decent chunk of his fanbase will be up in arms against him?

Fast forward to 1:10 Stefan Molyneux: "So you're living off other people's labour right?"

I first found this video on /r9k/. They aren't too happy with him for this video. Which I find amusing since /r9k/ and Stefan are both under the same alt-right umbrella. And /r9k/ didn't seem too receptive when I tried to rally support for Bernie Sanders last year. You can count on one hand the number of Bernie Sanders supporters on /r9k/.
I actually envy the European guy who called into Moly's show. From what it sounds like, the government gives him a free apartment. Where he gets to use the gym all day for free. And he's given a basic income by the government that is enough for me to be comfy. God, I wish I was a European NEET.
Here in Canada, we have WORKFARE and it only pays about $700CAD/month (including shelter allowance). And disability pays about $1,110CAD/month.
Meanwhile I have an acquaintance who lives in Sweden who deliberately made himself appear more autistic than he really is in order to get a diagnosis. And now he collects $2,000US/month in autismbux. He has his own apartment. It's a bit far out from the city. In the suburbs. But he can take the subway into the city.

It's what happens when you lump all of your opposition into one convenient group.

Actually laughed. He has this other video with a marxist and he can't comprehend how an owner does the same thing.
Christian Gray
Stefan would probably argue that the owner "takes a gamble" when he invests capital into a business.
Thing is, in most cases, the capitalist who has the most money WINS. Unless you're an incompetent businessman like Donald Trump who inherited however many millions or billions from daddy along with the Trump name and managed to bankrupt an Atlantic City Casino even though THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS

Do they recieve anything besides that? Do they pay any taxes on it? In Denmark someone disability has more then twice that after taxes.
Joseph Sullivan
sure, NEETs are parasites, but right-wingers have such a fixation on welfare/food stamps recipients while they don't even cost us that much money
the real welfare queens are in washington and wall street

No, $1,110CAD/month includes shelter allowance. I'm not sure if disability is taxable income. When I received unemployment insurance (not the same thing), I had to pay taxes on it.
I think you get a subsidized drug card if you are on disability too. But I'm not sure about that.
I have never went on disability because your assets have to be under a certain amount to qualify. And my assets are much too high above the threshold due to a combination of things.
Jack Phillips
Everything about the unique /r9k/ worldview is reactionary bullshit and everyone knows it.
Lincoln Hall
Oh, and I heard if that universal income thing I keep hearing about goes through, they'll take disability out of it so nothing really changes there.
Nathan Perry
Exactly. A NEET parasitically sucking off say $1,000/month or whatever it is from the labour of others is child's play compared to how much the bourgeoisie steals from the working person's pocket every month…
And NEETs who live with their parents like myself don't really suck all that much out of our parents. I read something about how adult children typically cost their parents about $5,000/year. The cost of adding an extra person to your household is not that big compared to the cost of having to strike out on your own.
My dad probably figures that keeping me alive for $400/month or however much it actually costs and keeping him company is more worthwhile than kicking me out on the street. He has a comfortable pension. He is more concerned about what is going to happen to me after he dies. I would rather blow my brains out than go back to wage cucking. What's the point of suffering 40+ hours out of your week just to have a few momentary pleasures? I'm at a point in my life where I don't even feel much pleasure at all.
Molyneux made fun of the NEET on the show for going to bed at 4AM and waking up at 1PM. You think that's bad? I go to bed at 6AM (It's actually 6:43AM here and I still haven't went) and usually wake up before 4PM and lie in bed until 5-5:30PM. Yesterday I actually woke up past 5PM. I've been NEET for 2 years.
When I first started out as a NEET, I would go to bed at like 11PM-Midnight. Then I started to go to bed later and later. 4AM. 5AM. 6AM. Until one day I was up until 7AM and my dad said what the hell am I doing still up? I'm wasting my life. So I'm trying to go to bed earlier. It's a fucking downward spiral man.
I have insomnia. Hard for me to fall asleep. But it's tough for me to get up as well. It's like my body needs more than 24 hours in a day! It's crazy.
Andrew Watson
Shit man I go to college and I still get that feeling of being tired all the time. Ive been told that if you do a little bit of exercise about 3 times a week it can help with both the insomnia and constant feeling of tiredness
William Price
Eh, yeah we know we're pieces of shit, no need to rub it in. We're trying but we have issues.
Zachary Howard
Nah, many neets are trying to swim, but are very bad at it.
