You don't want an angry gay orc nigger to endlessly pursue your asshole in angsty lust?

...

I couldn't find a collage without the new enhanced mary sues and Sarevok in it.

Switch Aerie and Jan and it's a good list.

Imoen is..?

really? she was annoying and edgy
no, you wont seduce me by telling me how much you liked being a sex slave, you are already a filthy drow and deserve shit for Christmas

Imouto.

He also forgot yoshimo, but maybe that was deliberate.

NO EFFECT?
NO EFFECT?
NO EFFECT?
NO EFFECT?
NO EFFECT?
NO EFFECT?
NO EFFECT? x999

They're kind of story related.

They can still be tiered though and they're already in the picture if you're worried about spoilers somehow.

Yoshimo is shit tier, a crappy fighter not good enough at thief stuff.

Imoen is lock picker and trap finder tier.

Yoshimo is also the only pure thief, I personally put him in decent to good tier simply because no one else is good enough at thievery. I'd put imoen there for bg2, but her thievery skills quickly become obsolete in ToB, but she's a pretty decent mage anyway though.

ToB is balanced around imoen, none of the traps are beyond her ability so they knew that the thief class was underserved.

Yoshimo's skills are all in traps. I'm gonna abuse traps I'll be the thief myself.

Especially in the first.
God, that bitch was so fucking anoying.

What is best romance and why is it Aerie? Viconia fags are kidding themselves and Jaheira = damaged goods, oherwise she's fine.
Yeah but every woman is. Plus her romance has the best ending.

PTSD Imoen is fine though.

What a shitty list
Obviously the real list is

Keldorn
Jan Jansen
Minsc
Yoshimo

Everyone else

Seriously, everyone else is insufferable faggots, how can anyone even think about dealing with their shit?

For tender semi-incestual loving. Is there any decent 34 of her floating around?

Is that the reference for Aerie?

What a stupid watch, the only thing worse is the people who pretend they can actually quickly and precisely tell the time with it.

That's a porn actress, lad.

...

Viconia's reference is a porn girl, so I thought I'd ask.

You take that back, OP. Its like you don't even know how fun it is to be the combat aspect of a Fighter/Thief combined into one class. Valygar backstabs for ridiculous numbers and can use the Boots of Speed to escape line of sight to immediately try backstab fishing again.

Also Baeloth is the only Enhanced Edition companion who is both entertaining and useful. He at least belongs in Good tier because of all the extra spell picks he gets despite being a Sorcerer.

Top pick tbh

Nalia exists to replace Imoen. By the time you get Imoen back she'll be massively underleveled compared to what is essentially the exact same character. Don't know why anyone would put her in shit tier, at least from a mechanical perspective that's Imoen's home.

Isn't Aerie literally damaged goods? The bitch also cheats on you.

Ever sneak attacked with Carsomyr? Figured not or you wouldn't talk trash.

He's a self righteous nigger that doesn't hold a candle to Montarion.

Because Nalia is a pretentious little bitch who thinks all peasants and drunkards aren't the way they are because of their own faults.

Checked and agreed.

Wut? Are you talking about that gay blue haired elf with the twin swords? If you're already in a relationship with her then she tells him to fuck off. I don't know why you'd take that guy with you anyway.

...

because he's based

Just helpin you out, bruh.

Are you retarded? Arie is redicolously powerful if built properly.

She gets a bajjilion spells, and her squishiness is easily fixed in many ways (I give her gridle of CON, braces of STR, shield of Harmony, Cromy Feyir and robe of Vecna). Add to a that a buff cocktail and she wrecks shit in CC and can still fling doomsdays spells like crazy.

Waht this guy said

Also, you do know your ending with Aerie is the best one. Happy family and all that jazz.

Isn't it a paladin-only weapon???

I bet you aren't even getting laid every day and posting gore of lesser races on 4gottenrealmschan. Faggot.

Thief HLA, Use Any Item.

But IIRC, Backstab only works with items that single-class thief normally uses.
You can use it, but not backstab.

Drunkards, I can agree, but you can't call the accident of birth to be the fault of the one who's born. A peasant in the boondocks without any access to education will stay a peasant all his life without any fault of his own.

Aerie outdoes even Edwin if you level her enough. Edwin is normally the top dog of spells with his 9 dragon breaths but Jesus Christ Aerie gets so many spells with being a cleric/mage it's hilarious.

And she can use Wish effectively, unlike Edwina. Which means the final battle is a cakewalk.

Official Baldur's Gate tier list

Shit Tier:
Baldur's Gate
Baldur's Gate II

What about Throne of Bhaal though?

Fucking drowposters. Every single porn thread there you are. One of these days I'm going to shove a daylight spell so far up your arse you'll be shitting Lathander nuggets for a month.

Yoshimo is bro tier
Except for that whole trying to kill you thing

Aerie a cute. If by some trickery she gives birth during ToB (it can happen!), it yields some funny comments from party members.

This is correct. I was thoroughly dissapointed when I tried it after finally getting Use Any Item. I'm guessing it's a game limitation and not a P&P limitation?

It's not too big a deal as the melee weapon with the most potential single strike damage in the game happens to be backstab compliant.
I am talking about the almighty (improved) Staff of the Ram. Yeah, quarterstaves can backstab.
If you want the biggest single hit damage numbers in the game the best way is to roll a dual-class Kensai->Thief and activate Ki Strike before performing your backstab with the Staff of the Ram. An NPC alternative is Sarevok dual'ed into a Thief.

On a much lower level the Staff-Mace is a surprisingly good backstab weapon. It's essentially a +2 mace that's treated as a quarterstaff by the game.

I see you're partial to the Aerie Hulk as well. Good taste. (I can stand her voice acting though).

>(can't stand her voice acting) obviously.

I never understood that. You spend most of the game without your main class and by the end of it become sort of powerful when everyone else is powerful anyways.

Mostly useless for the first half of BG2. At best she's a support caster for Edwin or a Mage PC. Shit tier character.

Decent Cleric. If you have a good aligned party, he's a solid choice. Shit tier character.

Useless without mods that fix shapeshifting or mods that fix Druid spell per day scaling. Literally who?

God tier spellcaster until late ToB, when Aerie's Wish spam starts to be a contender. Fun character with top tier banter.

Decent tank or decent support for any group. Annoying as fuck.

A bad Mage that deals with trap now that you've lost Yoshimo. Not too bad to adventure with; better post lost innocence.

God tier tank and support rolled into one. Not as good as Haer'Dalis for tanking on the higher difficulties, but not as reliant on spells either. Mildly annoying, but not a bad character.

One of the strongest companions in the game. After a few hours into chapter 2, he'll have enough THAC0 to land staff backstabs with almost every swing and since he's an dual classed, his backstab keeps scaling. And since he's an Illusionist, his spells aren't complete shit. And since he's an Illusionist, he can just keep backstabing due to various immunities and Mislead. Have you seen what happens when you give Jan Vecna's Robe and have him use Improved Alacrity, Time Stop and Assassinate? As a bonus extra, he can still trap and remove illusions. This fucker is OP. Bro tier character with top tier banter.

It's Carsomyr. Bro tier.

He kills shit and stays alive. Great banter.

Shit tier. Tumblr tier.

Decent. Not a very good tank and has a hard time staying alive in harder fights. Fun tier character.

Shit thief, shit mage. Annoying brat.

Decent once he gets Boots of Speed. He's not spectacular, but he does his job well. Don't like him too much.

Best Cleric, and unlike in BG1 her spell resist won't fuck you over. Fun tier character with great banter.

Great thief, but traps are cheesy as fuck. Dead tier character.

Reminder that Bioware was on the path to SJWism when making BG 2 did you notice that Keldorn gets cucked in his quest?

No…

If you don't go too high level, it's nice. I dual classed a Berserker->Cleric at level 9 and it wasn't that bad. Levels 8 and 9 were pretty horrible, but I was nowhere near midgame once I unlocked my previous class again. I would never do it in BG1 because you don't get very high level.

yeah and having him be an actual cuckold is supposed to be the good ending.

He totally deserved it though. He prioritized justice over his duty to his family.

It is but it's not. Backstab is when you apply your rogue multiplier on the first flurry/round. Sneak attack is the attack made from stealth, invisibility or concealment on a flat footed target that didn't get a chance to react. Now, I agree it's not the staff of the magi but it's still pretty effective and funny

Aerie a shit and so is your taste.

You're unfair to Anomen. He gives out some great lines when fallen.

IT would be way too broken for a thief to be able to use top tier weapon of other classes on top of all the other bonuses.
Backstab is already 3X damage - a backstab with a holy avenger would be so much overkill, you could one-shot gods.

The rationale behind "shit tier character" for some people seems to be "I don't like him/her" and that's about it.

You suggesting Celestial Fury or Blackrazor with a Belm or Equalizer in the off hand is not overkill?

Cernd is objectively shit and I dare you to prove me otherwise. I mean, it takes some kind of effort to be badly outclassed by Jaheira but boy did he succeed.

Also the multiplier goes to 5X or 7X for assassins come epic or near epic levels.

I said I didn't like Haer'Dalis and Jaheira but didn't call either of them shit tier. Big difference between a bad character and a dislikable one. Thought the fact that I included both descriptions in my listing was a huge giveaway.

Also,

Guess I am unfair to Anomen since I never romanced him or made him go fallen. Maybe there's more to him than annoying goody-two-shoes.

I made him go fallen accidentally, first time playing and he becomes pretty likeable. I don't know how he is if he doesn't fall.

He gets his wisdom bumped up to 16 from 12 so he becomes somewhat decent as a cleric.

...

That's pretty good.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was bothered by that.

No wonder /his/ is shit

swords aren't that expensive by 1200+
chainmail is more expensive but not "sell your house to buy one" tier.

also farmer != miserable, rotten toothed sub-human living in a rat hole, that's the present day myth.

Which D&D monster would you fugg?

Expanding on this, in the beginning chainmail was very expensive. But with time more and more was produced, and the fuckers last, even if the user gets killed you just have to replace a few rings.

Full quality battle gear AND a trip to the Holy Lands. Very expensive, even for nobles.
Do you know how the trip alone lasted?

Those are the Pathfinder Goblins user. But yes. I'd fuck the shit out of those hairless cockgremlin adorable bags of green chaos shortstacks in a heartbeat.

go away nu/pol/

thats kinda hot, goblins and kobolds are natures living onaholes

I honestly can't tell whether you're really this dumb or is this yet another low for shitbaiting.

Edgelord

Boring. I like to play as Paladin (Cavalier) so he's useless.

Top tier. Managed to beat SoA+ToB with both Edwin and Minsc, I thought they would kill each other before that.
Also, in ToB you no longer need to keep your reputation below 18 to prevent evil people leaving your party.

Top tier. Her romance has good narrative.

Uhh… ok, but I don't like his interactions with the goofy characters.

Shit.

lol bards

She's ok. Probably one of the more realistic characters in the whole game.

Mmm… I guess he's still top tier.

Top tier too. I don't care what you say.
Half thief, which is good because you don't need a full fledged thief in BG2.
Half illusionist, so he can complement Edwin's missing spells.

One cleric is enough. Haven't ever tried him, honestly.

He's a good fighter… when in wolf shape. Can cast druid spells when human.
I like his retarded personality.

Boring and shitty.

Nobody likes Nalia.

Also boring. His kit is stupid, too.

I need a bigger sword.

Apart from Chromatic Doom I can't find any use for her. Her attributes are very bad and I need proper working clerics/druids and mages in my party (i.e SPECIALISTS), got no place for masters of none.
< Faster than Chikita FastPaws!

What kind of roleplay is that?
I'm sure you're that kind of powerplayer who gives all your characters Charisma=3 in games like Icewind Dale 2, you know, in order to optimize attributes.

Why wouldn't you min/max your stats in IWD2? There's no reason not to do it. Just keep a Sorcerer around for the Charisma person.

Studded leather was probably the most popular armor.
As for weapon, I'd like to thing it was the spear but I have no idea really.
I guess farmers would just use some of their tools, like axes, hoes and scithes.

Is a D&D invention that never existed in real life. It was based on a misinterpretion of leather armour with plates of metal bolted underneath it.

Also known as brigandine. A type of armor that I wish would feature more prominently in games. It was actually a very common and popular type of armor in the middle/late middle ages.

Not in a million years. Brigantine is cloth padded heavy mail occasionally reinforced with breastplate. Studded leather is literally a leather jerkin with some metal bits to make it sturdier. Think something Witcher would wear.

Wax or oil boiled leather armor was a thing.

Who's the edgemaster in the middle? The expansion NPC?

He's bretty good, can be very effective with proper equipment and spells.

Them's fighing words!

Specialization is for insects.
Aries has the biggest spell count in the game. That makes her very versatile and her stats can be fixed with gear. I don't know how you build her, but she's a murder death machine in my party.

Leather armor is shit.

Gamebeson was the best non-metal armor, in some ways better than chainmail.

Here's something interesting:

Defective half-plate vs 300 and 1000 pound crossbows - brestplate wins

Any NPC is very effective if geared correctly but that doesn't change the fact they're whiny fucks.

I've got flailfag with access to nature cleric domain that's laughing at those words.

Self-insert PC iirc.

Mα, είσαι τελείως ανόητος

...

...

I have a gigantic boner for the ancient Greek and Roman armour (and later Byzantine stuff), but was it actually useful?

AKA never existed

Behold! The Canon Child of Baal. Abdel.

>(((wikipedia)))

Bravo whoever wrote those novels.

Philip Athans. Even after all these years I am still mad about those books.

Useful enough for it to become a staple for the Macedons and all of the successor kingdoms

Unless you also count in laminated and or lacquered leather in which case you've got a ton of examples from Byzantium and slavs, across mongols to chinks and japs.

Farmers could be free men (free tenants) or serfs (and some slaves, but those were rare). Unfortunately, most were serfs that more or less fit that 'myth'. You can just examine the state of their skeletons to discover disease and malnutrition signs in most of them. Lowborn people that accompanied nobles to war in that period were usually yeomen. Farmers stayed home because of the risk of famine if they would stop tending to the fields and herds.

That link list at the pic bottom is incomplete.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Crusades

that is why worshipping a dead jewish rabbi as a god is BASED amirite?

Would the Bhaalspawn not be a quasi-deity too, technically? Which means he's immortal (as in doesn't age)

fuck off jewpig

Not really. Either you become completely mortal or you ascent to deity status by the end of the games which do not take more than a few years at longest.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sicut_Judaeis

I was more wondering how good it would be at stopping force, like shown in .

That part of the game goes against the lore. Bhaalspawn would be a quasi-deity also called a hero deity, meaning the son of a deity with a mortal. A quasi-deity, which in mythology would be equivalent of a demigod like Heracles (though demigod is an actual low level god in D&D) can't grant spells to followers and he doesn't need followers to mantain his power, and he doesn't have his own realm.

While Latin is a dead language, it permeates English and science throughly.

Is there an online resource to learn it?

I don't see what you're getting at here.

What we know from reliable history is that it was fairly light, that it was inexpensive, and likely made from a combination of linen and leather. Often with metal strengthening at key points like belly and joints, and that it was so effective they felt comfortable using it from phalanx to cavalry and even without a shield in a pike formation. That has more weight to me than some mouthbreather pelting a dubious modern interpretation of said armor with questionable shit on jewtube.

That said cloth fiber armor tend to cushion the blows thru sheer layered thickness but the design suggests it was fairly thin so it behaved like metal and deflected. It's a greek fire type of situation: we know it existed in some fashion, we know it was good but we have no idea how exactly it worked.

Play the game, it's all explained.

I see, thanks.
Is there any book where I could look into this in more detail?

Forced conversion of pagans was commonplace in that period too. So Jews being exempt seems to be pretty generous.

One kind user shared a bunch of material ages ago including Unraveling the Linothorax Mystery by Gregory S. Aldrete but I can't seem to remember where I stashed those pdfs. I can't say how good the book is from an academical point but it's pretty thorough and interesting to a layperson.

It's like you want to swim in shit.

Also, your armor is shit. There's a reason it was abandoned.

The reason being culture died and all class was lost when a bunch of shit taste shitflingers moved in? Funny, it's also what happened to 8ch.
My god, how far we fell from laughing at tumblrites and posting notViconia porn.

i didn't even know you could play as a cuck in bg2

I tried to find it on a book site, but it didn't turn up.
If you dig it up, I'd really be glad if you could post it.

Do you not have respect for the Space Hamster?

Can't you tell the paladin that he should stop judging his wife for cheating on him? That sounds like Burch tier behavior right there.

No, the reason being better and more cost-effective armor was around. Why would people in the middle ages be using armor from the time of greeks? It's retarded.

You don't own shit, bitch.

You can also tell him to imprison his wife and kill the man. Jan Jansen is the one who pines for a woman he'll never have, and even bends over backwards for her. There's nothing you can do to change that one.

Consult a dictionary.
Just using random words you think are insulting only makes you look dumb.

You have upheld the honor of lathander well.

Indeed, for he is the God of the Dawn, not the God of Cuckolds.

Big words from someone who's waifu performs for midgets :^)

You can kill the bitch

Actually that's Post-BG when he's the DUKE OF BALDURS GATE. Then an OC-Donut steel Advent Children Bhaalspawn shows up and kills him.

THIS is Abdel, in his fucking youth back in 2e.
And Minsc survives to become pozzed in 5e because he got petrified.
Additionally, have my edit of the image to fit onto the base Portrait used for Abdel in his default Ingame state in BG1EE made to look in the same manner as the other party members with color corrected skin to the 4e version

No offense but anyone told you your editing skills are shit?

Holy crap that's one ugly ass motherfucker.

JUST

You're supposed to use quality smug, but you can't even reach that basic level of competence.

How about you get of MY board, because I'm pretty sure your stupidity counts as a biological hazard for everyone around.

Well, that's rude. It's not the artist's fault she's a low cost whore and no one wanted to waste money on a more quality commission. :^)

But we're not on >>>/cuck/

Hey, it's better than nothing, and it fits as well as possible alongside the default B1 portraits.

If Jan is in your party at the end of ToB, he gets his woman back with the help of trained monkey assassins.

That piece is a-okay,i kinda like it actually.

Needs a ton more work but related is better than nothing.

I believe it's titled elves in their natural habitat

Needs the JUST hair.

He does indeed have a JUST-worthy face.

It also yields less shit characters :^)

Why mess with the classic?

You know you just steal food from pagans on the way most of the time right

Skullacuck snipped balls faggot and his whore of a GF laughing at him like a dog.

Both of them need to go.

Apart from that it seems reasonable. tfw nobody ever mentions how the alignment of each character in planescape torment is just some variation of neutral, even the wizard who literally wants everything to burn.

My sides.

THE FUCK DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY HAIR?!

Why do all the portraits in this look like they had their faces lightly caked in shit?
