FNV Thread

Why did Caesar not have centurions or other high ranking warriors with an emphasis on loyalty? Soldiers he could use to retrieve advanced tech they found or other controversial decisions. I mean he already had frumentarii like Vulpes Inculta and he wasn't above using the auto-doc. It'd also remove the obvious flaw in his army that created the need for help to research houses bunker.

Also, why the fuck did he have no kids? He's an old man who has probably fucked hundreds of women/slaves, he must have had a few dozen kids or at least a few like most leaders. One of the greatest dangers to a leader is the lack of heirs, where even just having 1 is dangerous, and yet Caesar has none, unless Legate Lanius actually takes over the Legion in a Coup from Caesars sons, who are the rightful heirs?

Also, new mod has added in diagonal movement.

How is House a libertarian ?

Also, why the fuck did he have no kids? He's an old man who has probably fucked hundreds of women/slaves, he must have had a few dozen kids or at least a few like most leaders.
Not the relevant one, which is Julius Caesar - you could argue that he had no Augustus, just a war-mad legate, but that shows the ideal and the characteristics endemic in his legion that he had to hold up as the Legion's highest ideal, especially after what happened with Graham. And this kind of answers
as Vulpes is clearly portrayed to be the exception. The legion is invested in Caesar as a symbol and not him as a man, and thus they are not aware that he stoops to an auto-doc and so on.

How is House anything other than a sideshow attraction?

Because the eternal endgame of a true libertarian society is a single entity with superior weaponry and an agenda rising up and forming an autocracy, and imposing his will on everyone who can't defend themselves because of a lack of social cohesion, and the lack of ability for people to work together without a formal command structure.

WHAT THE FUCK, HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?

and it only took years to make
woooooooooooooooooooooooow

why wouldn't it be possible? Because Bethesda said "diagonal movement is impossible on this engine2 or something?

...

The Skyrim mod was better.

The game was obliviously written by leftist retards. Just look at the entire Caesar questline. It's a joke. There's probably less than 10 quests for the entire faction. Meanwhile the commie faggots from California get all the quests.

On top of that they make the Legion out to be overly edgy and cringe worthy, instead of a badass faction that you want to play with. Thats why I don't get the praise for this game, it's way better than FO4, but the game is pretty shit until you hit Freeside, which was the only part of the game that I found remotely interesting.

And the DLC is a total shitfest. They are all atrociously bad. The game had so much potential, but it was ruined by running out of time and leftist faggots in obsidian.

That would be Bethesda's fault for rushing the game, originally there was a whole section of Legion territory planned as well as more quests to flesh out the faction. Legion's territory was going to be safe for those who followed the legions laws with little to no monsters or raiders. Sadly all that's left of that area is the trader at the Fort who will tell you how nice Legion territory is.

Wild Card best ending. If someone has to rule the Mohave, that is you.

Anyway, are there any good pregnancy and slavery mods that doesn't make the whole game explode?

The rushed development resulted in all the legion content getting cut, so they said 'fuck it' and just made them the super bad guys so that nobody would bother to side with them.

Wild card is the only card worth playing.

...

Why must you degenerates ruin everything?

The only thing Bethesda games are good for is porn mods.

I was wondering the same thing.
I figure the guy making the image got 3/4 of the way through and realized he fucked up.

I always thought it was the wild card option where player actually makes every decision for himself and doesn't depend on any faction.

Nice, that was one of the last few things that consistently triggered my autism but couldn't be modded out.

Basically a businessman who wants to be left alone by the NCR and Legion.

military dictatorships are often very corrupt in the real world, the army holds so much power that they need to be keep content through riches and properties.

No, New Vegas is for gentle, loving modding that enhances the the gameplay, graphics, and general feeling of the game.
Skyrim on the other hand has to be corrupted and mindbroken like a gyaru slut with porn mods.

you have no right making that much sense

Why does it look like the floor is moving and not the character?

Because the animation is completely fucked compared to the actual movement. His feet should stay fixed on the floor when in contact.

Is there at least a good reemplacement to Real Time Settler?

I just want to make my desert community and have slaves and a family.

what the fuck is that shit comic supposed to mean? I don't fucking play this gay fallout game.

Four main endings. Top left is to hand control of the region to the NCR. Top right is to give it to Caesar's Legion (who are evil). Bottom right is to give it to Mr. House, who wants independence. Bottom left is true independence; no gods, no masters.

imposing their will on people seems to be the focal point of all political agendas lately. I dont see how you can attribute that to libertarians exclusively.

also this is a shitty bait thread for politics

This shows how lazy Bethesda is for not adding this to the game in the first place. All it took was one guy.

Praise be.

It's been how many years? Yet there are still retards that believe the courier is going to manage new vegas in indie. I swear, in every single discussion there is the subhuman going all "lol courier is gonna ruoez". How is that even possible? How can these retards even put their "thoughts" into a post? Is there somebody beside them that writes the post for them?

Frequently not if it's a newly formed one, with the original founding leader still in charge who usually has the most zeal and motivation. That sounds like an accurate description of a military dictatorship just formed by a great leader that all the soldiers respect. Things will change when he dies.

Reminder that not liking dead money is a sign of being a whiney faggot who sucks at videogames

I didn't like dead money because the fucking thing glitched and literally locked me out of the vault.

mad because bad

Do you want to fight
i will fight you 100 melee super slam cheapo stuns to death

1v1 me nigger, ill legion assault your ass over the colorado fag

...

...

not even gay and i think he is cute tbh

LOL?

He's a richman whose primary concern is trade and profit, plus personal survival away from Earth, he even forced some Vegas tribes into becoming legitimate businessmen with hotel casinos. He doesn't want any government interference, so he is trying to keep off both NCR and Legion away as they'd snoop around and tax his businesses or just outright kill him.

Checks out, biggest degenerates are the ones who can't shut up about degeneracy

reality will be that The Strip will turn into a shithouse like Freeside, because even though The Kings/Van Graffs are objectively strong factions in the area, they decide to do nothing, so orphans can still chase rats for food and niggers mug people in an alley while junkies offer toothless blowjobs and piss in their own mouths.

People are retarded, try not to think about it.

First few playthroughs I was rping as a goody goody two shoes and thought that rat was their pet, first time I rp as a total bastard I shoot the damn thing the moment I see it and "thanks mister" confused the fuck out of me for a second.

OH,SO NOW IT'S BETHESDA THAT MADE NV ALL OF THE SUDDEN
fucking obsidiots

New Vegas is poorly-written tripe that is only a step up from Fallout 3's shit.

I didn't even realize you couldn't do this until now

...

leftypol pls go and stay go

Thank you, thank you very much.

Am I the only one who likes Honest Hearts over any other DLC? I just like the simplicity of it all, it's just another straight forward Fallout tale, without any of the narrative baggage of "Ulysses Rambling Rumble" that is Lonesome Road Lonesome Road is my second favorite, but fuck if Ulysses isn't a rambling prick

old world blues>dead money>honest hearts>lonesome road.
OWB only takes first because of my unreasonable love for shitty sci-fi flicks. Lonesome road takes last because it just wasn't interesting in any remarkable way, otherwise dm introduced a bunch of new content and hh just had a nice story that also tied up some loose ends from the core game.

Oh, my point. Your taste is shit.

Old World Blues was just too much "le wacky science XD" for my taste, plus the map was just too crowded with enemy spawns for my taste.

Did you reply to yourself? Okay, then, your taste is shit.

Don't be a cheeky cunt, we both know it was an addendum.
There is no way I could disagree with you on owb being far too "XD" tier, that just happens to be my taste when and only when it comes to schlocky sci-fi. As for the population, yeah I could see disliking that, did give you plenty of excuses to test out all the new shit they were throwing at you from under every rock.

Old World Blues is still plenty of fun of course, and there's some charm to the extra wacky 50's science, but man, It really feels like I'm playing another game, a lot of people shit on FO2's wackiness, yet adore Old World Blue's attempts at comedy.

I think it's because in FO2 it was such a departure from what people expected, NV has a fucking perk that turns on weird shit from the start so it's not smacking you in the face if you don't want it to be.

...

It's just References, if the WW symbol didn't show up whenever you came across these, you wouldn't even notice them. That said FO2's references were far more in your face but were mostly just that.

Only good Cassidy was his father.

you have only yourself to blame

What do you mean?
I only played through NV once, and went for house

If you pick the NCR ending, she will end up sleeping with some random NCR soldier and walk off into the sunset all satisfied She a thirsty hoe yo

He probably does it's just not brought up.

bethesda the publisher

Isn't that actually just how the engine for Fallout and Elder Scrolls handles moving around, making the world move rather than the player? Or was that just some bullshit meme made up?

Dead Money and Old World Blues are tied for the best DLCs. Honest Hearts is just okay. Lonesome Road is well-written as it stands but the plot feels too erratic and under-explained, and the gameplay is too linear. I like it for what it is but I agree it's not the best DLC.

It implies working with the NCR makes you a cuck, which is true. The only true path to a brighter future is Independent Vegas.

he's probably infertile or a faggot

Do you mean independent in the sense that House's plan gets completed or independent in the sense that the mailman with brain damage and a sever case of sudden onset psychopathy jerry rigs the remains of the plan to fit his god complex in the place of House's narcissistic personality disorder?

You are both wrong, the only way is to overthrow Caesar and as Imperator bring Christianity to the Mojave by the sword

and the engine is bethesda's
here is your (you)

Quick question:

I'm playing all the Fallout games, let me recap first

Then I went back to try Fallout and shit, and boy that was fun .
Can't understand faggots that ignore this game because it's confusing or say the UI is hell. The master was a great concept.

I've recently finished Fallout 2.
I knew the plot/script was a controversial point with fans, so I went open minded (same as Old World Blues DLC).
I liked it, it had a great world and liked the main quest, and again, fantastic antagonist, still a "grey" villain, not a pure good vs pure evil cliche.

Fuck, that was longer than I thought.

Fallout 3 is utter dogshit. I can't even play it through Tale of Two Wastelands with all the NV mechanics and mods. DC just fucking sucks - it's boring, the NPCs are retarded, and the landscape isn't actually that interesting to explore.

...

3 is only worth playing if you have New Vegas already and want to do Tale of Two Wastelands. Otherwise don't play the vanilla game. The gameplay changes New Vegas adds to it makes all the difference in the world but all of that can't fix the game's terrible writing, characters, and environments. Basically, if you like New Vegas and just want more shit to do and play through get 3 and get TTW but don't expect it to be all that good. You'll go through it once and then go back to playing through NV again and again. I will say this, though, the Super Mutants the game throws at you, with NV's DT additions and all of that, actually makes the hordes of them scary as fuck early game when all you have are pistols and nothing with any real armor piercing capabilities. The first time I did a TTW run I remember being chased by a few super mutants through an office building throwing down landmines to break their legs and using every weapon I had because I would run out of ammo trying to pierce their hides. Frantic fucking fight that was.

I don't think he ever does even if you choose Yes Man/Wildcard route. Much like Caesars Legion, the Wild Card route feels incomplete, they both feels as though they were both meant to be fleshed out WAY more. Arguably Wild Card route (if done properly) could have been the best route since you would be the one to decide its policies and who gets to stay the Mojave and who gets to be kicked out.

Fallout 3 has a fucking atrocious main quest full of plotholes, nonsense, stupid decisions, no meaningful choices, and practically zero agency on the part of the protagonist. It feels like the player is a side character in their own story.

That being said, the side quests are pretty good, some are even pretty enjoyable and they've all got multiple solutions that make fairly effective use of your potential builds. The DC Wasteland is pretty interesting to explore if not very intelligently designed in terms of actually making logistical sense as a setting, but there's virtually no faction play.

It's an okay romp, if you want to bum around in the DC Wasteland and do a few of the better sidequests then you'd be better off just getting Tale of Two Wastelands, there's pretty much no reason to play Vanilla Fallout 3 because of how awful the raw gameplay is.

There's shades of that in the independent ending as it is, the main reason Yes Man encourages you to meet up with all the factions is so you can get a feel of them and decide whether or not you want to keep them around after taking power, but that's never brought up again outside of that like one dialogue instance. Most of the dialogue leading up to the IE implies that The Courier is taking House's place as the new bigshot in Vegas, Talking to the NCR general at the end is the one that most heavily implies this

That's what I thought, thanks for the input.
Didn't know about TTW, seems like it would make the game acceptable.
I mean, i want to try the game just to experience the disappointment first hand.

I normally don't do melee builds but in TTW a ripper is a godsend against super mutants, especially getting one early game. Saves ammo and goes right through their retardedly high DR/DT combo.

==Hi Guyz== what you thoughts about Fallout 4: New Vegas?

will it shut down production like that Opposing Force 2? or ZeniMax fuck them up due to news site ratted them out?

...

Nice dubs

You wouldn't even have to accept any of the major factions, there are plenty of people in NV that are unhappy with how House, NCR and the Legion are treating them. Even Chief Hanlon expresses a deep dobut that even if the NCR were to take over NV that it would be for naught and the Republic would fall.

There could have been so much cool shit they could have done Independent route, it's all just wasted potential.
