The game still isn't finished yet, right? Like it's still missing co-op and levels that support it, among other things. I'd actually pay for a copy to play with a friend when it's fully complete.

Looked it up, the game is finished, it's not an early access game. Local co-op is gonna be added in the next update, with online co-op "later". Modding seems to be only on steam workshop unfortunately, which means no pantsu on head till someone figures out how to work around it.

The concept of hatty time seems so similiar to odyssey atleast in that you're a hat collector gathering fuel for your hat shaped space ship.

As for the game's flaws, I didn't like how that the ziplining mountain level lacked a memorable villain. All the other ones had one, which really tied the other levels' stories together. This one just had that poisonous pollen, which was a snorefest imo. Not as great as the Snatcher shenanigans, Conductor & DJ Grooves bickering, or the funny mafia henchmen.

I also didn't like Mustache Girl's grating voice actress at first, but I eventually warmed up to it later on. Seeing as how she became a villain and all that. But to add on top of this, it feels weird to hear voice acting but see no lip syncing on the characters' facial animations whatsoever. Staying static most of the time and feeling really budgeted.

And lastly, the polish in the gameplay can be sketchy at times. That aerial dive attack, I mean. A lot of times, it worked as it should. But sometimes, I press the right buttons but the game doesn't register it at all sometimes. Leading to me taking damage in the process.

I have only just finished act 2, but I like this game almost as much as I like SM64. I think the dive mechanic is really fun, especially with the badge the prevents donking. I would highly recommend it.

Actually it's more likely with a small team, you get one mapper one texture dude, one engine goy and the like, there's very little room to micromanage everyone's work. Things can slip by if you're the only mapper.

one of the best games i've ever played. any non-steam modded levels? i've played most if not all of the 5 star rated ones on Steam and am moving through 4 starred, excited for the White Mushroom Heaven level or whatever its called

So I think what you have to do for the mod menu is give your mods time to download? I queued up a ton, there was no indication anything was downloading so I fired it up and the "Play" option was not available for half of them, then I unsubscribed to almost all of them and added them in chunks, giving them a few minutes to download/whatever. And every single one of them, by the end of it the same amount or so of mods as earlier, was playable and the sanic hat worked and everything.

In short, maybe?

What I mean is, last time I played, the list would scroll up farther than it should, meaning the selection cursor would end up above the screen if I moved far enough down the list.

Also 10 hours in platforming hours is a ton but hey it's your money.

I just tried it. It's still fucked. I'm rather disappointed in the game's mod support. The modding beta has been out for a while, now. I'd expect all the menus to be able to handle mods by now.

Sorta. A few levels do give you full on alt outfits (ones where it's raining give hat girl a raincoat, for instance), but they're only available during those levels. You do get to freely change your hat, however. There are also mods that let you change your whole outfit, regardless of what level you're in.

You can get recolors for the kid and there are alternate outfits (temporary, but there's mods to equip them permanently).
From memory, there's a color scheme based on Oneshot, Link, and Dante (white hair red coat)

One more thing I forgot. You can unlock alternate color palettes that you can freely switch between.

I don't think it's even possible to make her cute. There's an inherently ugly look to the graphics.
