It's not a competitive game, so it's never late.
There is some shitty arena pvp mode, but it doesn't account for your progress and is only played by a handful of autists.

If by late you mean how old it is, well it's kinda old, looks and feels outdated in places.
But it's free so try it and see for yourself whether you want to play it or not.

PC version has unlimited FPS
PS4 version is capped at 60.
Vita is capped at 30 and still dips.
PSO2 is very toaster friendly so get it on PC and lower the graphics.

You don't need PSN even on the PS4. At least, you don't need a paid subscription. The game is free to play, so it falls outside of their paywall guidelines.

most rp fags and animefaggots are terrible in mpa's. Its funny seeing them die repeatedly but the game fucks you over if you continuously heal yourself enough to fill your hp 6 times over or die 3 times during an emergency quest. You have to deal a certain amount of damage so your chance of a 13 star weapon increases.

There is a select group of waifufaggots that ace the game but good luck getting in their mpa's

The class-subclass system ended up creating max minning and killed the class diversity that they almost had in the beta, if they fucked would have kept the difficulty then it would have been necessary to have a healer but everything is fucking a joke the game is piss easy
The story is fucking trash and makes use of time travel then tries to pull a .hack by making the games world into an MMO but does a retarded attempt at not doing it by saying its just a game for the real world only thinks it a game because photons are traveling across realities or some shit.
If you have never played PSO then you will probably love this game, and you should count yourself lucky to have never experienced the wonder of PSO and be left with the empty void in your soul that will never be filled

It's not a hard game but because it's action MMO a lot of shit depends on your personal ability so you can go turboautist with clear times and damage and overall it's fun with no cooldown and quite a few different styles that come from weapons. Also has awesome character creator *waifu simulator 2018* and probably the best f2p system of any MMO.

He's not wrong though, PSO 2 feels pale in comparison to PSO and the subclass thing kinda dilutes shit. They could have kept the PSO leveling system and class system with a new story. EP4 was piss weak and by many considered shit. if you had crossed out 4 and just gave us 5 it would have been more believable.

I still find it offensive that they gave it the PSO name instead of PSU2.

With all the flexibility that SEGA gives to the PSO2 team, the next extra classes could be based on anything at all, and somehow they'd make it work.

IIRC those two weapon types are sub optimal so you will not be using them at all. Be prepared to be either some kind of Ranger Hunter combo or a ranger braver combo, or a Hunter Force combo.

You're in luck. The class that uses both those weapon types pretty much has to use both to be optimal, since fists are ground based and TDs are air based.
