Aliens vs Predator 1 and 2 are really good and nail the "Aliens" film atmosphere perfectly.

AVP1 is really goofy and suffers from dated tech. AVP2 is fantastic but really drops the ball in the final act of the Marine campaign. To be honest, Alien as a franchise is full of so much potential but nobody can seem to take advantage of what it really has to offer. You could easily do better than just HURF DURF MUHREEN ACSHUN with horror elements.
I'm imagining a full-fledged MMOFPS style game, where the focus is essentially a sandbox survival game. Players are all marines/humans, and you have to survive the xenopocalypse on Earth. You can still wreck xenos with the right tech, but there's billions of the fuckers, and more being made every day.
