I refuse to go back to cuckchan after having come here years back (despite a friend trying to encourage me to, with claims that the posterbase has fought the management, and that quality here and there are relatively the same). That said, there are some things I miss, particularly games/series that really can't see much in the way of discussion here for various reasons. Also doesn't help that there's not many boards on the whole here that could be considered "active", and even amongst the "active" ones, there's a real gulf in activity between the top three (Holla Forums, Holla Forums, and Holla Forums) compared the rest. Hell, even Holla Forums and Holla Forums have over twice the pph and poster count compared to Holla Forums.

This place has been an experiment. I'm glad it happened, but again, it's shown the pros and cons of such a board system. I would hope anyone that seeks to make the promised chan would take that into account.

There is a point that pph does not necessarily equal quality, but at the same time most boards here didn't get big to begin with (the major ones that have being ones that exodused on their own, such as Holla Forums during the GG purge, and Holla Forums during Holla Forumsharbor), and ones that have been big in the past has since grown less popular over time (people leave them for bigger, more active boards, which in turn leads to more people leaving because there's less people to discuss with; the problem feeds itself until death). And with attempts to spread word/shill boards people will just see that it's more or less dead and feel no desire to make posts/threads that will likely get no response, or perhaps not even be read.
