Pitfall 2's cartridge had an expansion chip built into the cart that pretty much upgraded the console adding music, more memory and stuff. It is easily the most complex VCS 2600 game, featuring looping music, an ending and decent variety of gameplay.

Moon Patrol had level progression, jumping, shooting, and music. All the basic elements that defined NES games, but on the Atari.

Not too many stick out for me besides stuff like Breakout, favorite 5200 game was Ballblazer though.
