Not sure why this image doesn't have the original Zero, but include him in your rankings if you like.

Battle Network >> Else.

...

It's from MMHP and each one redirects to a separate subseries, so they're referring to the Zero series, not the character.

Battle Network > X > Original > Zero > Legends > ZX > Star Force

Battle Network > Star Force > Legends > X > Frozen turds > Everything else

/thread

1. Original
2. Legends
3. X
4. Battle Network
5. Everything Else, Because I Haven't Played Them

I liked it less then X but I cann't deny its greatness
Still the best, but also some of the worst, went downhill after 3
A very good attempt at adapting a 2D platformer to 3D
Awful art style of Zero but less cramped screen
Awful art style and cramped screen.

Neither of them seemed to have the same spark as the other games. I couldn't get a Mega Man feel from them. Certainly interesting games in their own right, I'm sure, and I wont go so far as to say they are not true Mega Man games; anymore at least, but they really are oranges to apples with the others, with Legends being some kind of graft chimera

Why hasn't capcom made a multiplayer mobile version of the battle network games with a bullshit gambling mechanic for unlocking characters and additional chips?

Rank who? Characters? Or their games?
X is huge fucking bitch nigger and I hate him most of all, but his games are second best after Zero's games.
Meanwhile Zero in his own series is a cool guy, but looks fucking retarded.
And while battle network has pretty cool characters and a whole lot of cute girls and women, it is irredeemable trash gameplay-wise

ZX > X > Zero > Original > The other spinoff.

How so?

Z and ZX has some of the worst art in the history of video games.

This, they hired some 2bit hentai artist to do the games character designs.

How so? Are you expecting it to be self explanatory? Because they aren't faggot. The only legitimate complain are diapers, and once you get over that is god-tier.

How is that bad?

Hes 2bit, so hes shit
He draws hentai which means his main skill is drawing things that can't be used in a video game that is going for a wide scale release.
Addtionaly, if you compare the two images above of Zero and the phantom faggot, you will notice they are both more or less the same design
Only real difference is that Zeros boots are not thigh high boots
Notice the same shit on Sage as well.

You could argue that Zero looking like a girl is a throwback to Forte saying he looks like girl, but when everyone including X looks like a girl, you know that artist just can't draw different characters within one body size.

...

Even as a kid I though wearing undies over tights is stupid.
Spiderman > Superman.

You're the reason new 52 happen.
You're not a complete fagot though, I'll give you that.

I don't follow the comics or cartoons or even movies or whatever, but that pic looks much better.
Pry tell me how it become worse with such an improvement in design department?

First one its easy to see you are looking at a humanoid man, a type of Super man, super pepe and all. The second one looks like a blue blob, that compensates by having random lines going around muscle groups for some reason. Even if you ignore the black indent lines, its too much blue.

The red and blue contrast immediately draws your eyes towards the Superbulge. Today's PC comics could never allow such a display of masculinity, so they switched over to the retarded nu-52 suit and have tried their hardest to get rid of the underroos.

New 52 was DC's attempt to emulate Marvel's success with the Ultimate line, the line that lead to everyone becoming a miserable asshole, normalized race, sex and gender swaps and paved the way for "If it's pissing off our readers it's good!" which became their justification for injecting gobs of SJW politics into the comics.

In Superman's case, he became a much more aggressive asshole and was redesigned by Grant Morrison as quote "a working class, socialist superhero." They emphasized him working as a journalist and being an illegal immigrant. This is also the line here for example The Question traditionally a white guy and basically user as a detective was replaced with Renee Montoya, a mixed race half spanish half native american lesbian cop.

Stupid people just looked at it and thought "Oh cool, no underwear on the outside and there's all these lines and shit!" and it sold well for a little while, but lead to the sales eating shit and the character having to be rebooted again.

I'm not seeing it, the second supes is just better.

If that's the reason, why doesn't Mega Man have a mega dick showing through his panties? Checkmate, loser

Are we ranking the games or the characters? The fact you want us to include Zero (from X series) suggests you want us to rate the characters.

In that case, Original and Legends have almost no personality. X is a straight messianic archetype which you may or may not appreciate, but it's more than the other two main sequence megamans. Zero from X would probably qualify as the best (main) character out of the three games but he can be a bit of an edgelord at times. I haven't played the other games so I don't know how they compare.

Clearly there was only one answer.

Well thats all I got. The only other thing I can say is some people said he looked naked body paint with new 52.

rape rate them

At least megamen have different personalities.
Rolls only differ in age, and even that rarely.

No, you got it right the first time.

What do you mean, rank the characters or their games?

Where's the MILF one?

Roll>Roll>Roll>Roll>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>NT Roll

Gameplay wise X is the best.
Level/boss wise X is the worst.

That makes no sense.

sadly that image is no longer relevant
the new design is great

It does. X has the potential to be a superb game, but the level design and boss design bring it down. Very few bosses push the players to their limits, very few levels push the players to their limits without relying on bullshit.
Classic's Bosses are always on the move, always unpredictble. X's bosses are insanely predictable and more often than not their patterns are very, VERY easy to dodge and pose no threat.

Superior Capcom platforming franchise coming through.

Stop playing games meant for toddlers such as Megaman.

Bad Box Art Man > All

Too bad he looks nothing like that in actual games.
I'd rather play as robot boy than hobo midget.

I wanna get mega man legacy for 3DS, but the screen size is so small and I heard widescreen option doesn't look good. Anyone try widescreen?

why live

Why indeed.

Capcom occasionally makes MMOs, and it's a perfect fit for the series
What's your point

I didn't play Battle Network or Star Force because they're not in the main continuity or a continuity very similar to it, so I don't care about them. In the main continuity, this is the ranking I think is best:

X > Classic > Zero > Legends > ZX

The first serious hints of advancements in the series' mechanics came from X with dashing and wall jumping, and out of all the different subseries, the X games were the ones that most consistently brought some new mechanic to the table, usually in the form of armor upgrades. Also introduced Zero, which is arguably the only good thing Keiji Inafune did. X is a great character and with his series, Mega Man's storyline started tackling more sophisticated themes. Ironically, when the SJWs came into the videogame community they were professing to be in favor of that exact thing, and yet the stories and characters they write are inferior to Mega Man, or indeed almost any video game story written before they invaded. Mega Man is probably the only series where the "deepest lore" meme is unironically true, and it's mostly because of X. Sadly people hated X7 and that did a lot of damage to Mega Man as a whole, which is too bad because despite its flaws it gets much more hate than it deserves. Maybe now that it's being re-released on PC, some intrepid modder will mod it until it's up to the standards of the rest of the series.

Still holds up surprisingly well even after how many years it's been. No diagonal attack with the Mega Buster is somewhat annoying, though. That's never really remedied in Mega Man in general for the most part except for Legends and the later X games.

Hard as fuck, so you need to man up and git gud, but it's very rewarding once you do. Pulls off the post-apocalyptic vibe very well and manages to make the oppression of Neo Arcadia feel real, and introduces a variety of different mission types unseen in Mega Man until then. The Cyber Elf system in the first game was wack, though.

One of the few post-apocalyptic series that manages to have a really fun and wondrous atmosphere. Sadly it only got two main games.

The transformation mechanic was interesting, but there's really nothing there that couldn't have just been made into an armor for X, or even Zero despite him getting very few true armor sets as opposed to palette swaps. Still, it was nice to see a more upbeat world after the oppressively dark atmosphere of the Zero series. It makes you feel like the heroes actually accomplished something.

original>x>zero>>>legends>>ZX>>>>>>>>dog shit>everything else

Original > X > Zero > legends = Network > ZX > Starforce

Case in point: Spark Mandrill
Once you get the Ice Shotgun, he becomes the literal definition of a Jobber

I meant just about any boss, regardless of weakness or not.
I don't know how to explain it, in Classic(and I guess Zero), you were always on the move and on the brink onto whether or not you'd get fucked. With X you're usually standing in place charging and firing until they decide to attack you back and then you usually perform an easy movement to dodge the attack and that's about it. Of course there are exceptions but I wish those exceptions were the rule.

you got more nerves than taste

Is it true that Capcom did that to spite the Inafune?

that would suck, it shouldnt take spite to do something so amazing.

According to Yoshinori Ono, Keiji Inafune wanted to see something "new and original" done to Mega Man for Street Fighter X Tekken so they collabed on creating Bad Boxart Man

Vid related, skip to 4:06

And people wonder why SF/Vs games are shit these days.

How the fuck do you even reach that conclusion? Who gives a shit about a "wide scale release"? The only legitimate problem I see is that everyone have similar body proportions.
Isn't that on purpose? They are X guardians for a reason, I think.

The undies are there to break colors, faggot. Otherwise you' get the shitty latest Superman designs where he is all blue. Pic related, the last variant is the best superman variant.

Jesus, user, kill yourself. You don't need to be a Holla Forumstard to know these basic things.

First post nailed it. Classic had a bunch of good ones, X had 3, and the rest are a metric ton of garbage.

Battle net > X > Legends > Original > others
fite me

Why? You already did. left to right, best to worst

Even ZX and Star Force aren't shit, they're just less good than other Mega Man games. This thread is filled with contrarian idiots. This is some gaming magazine "8/10 it's shit" tier appraisal.
