Have you played it before? If not, just do what you want. Fun will happen by just playing the game the way you want to.

You will realize that its a repetitive game after you defeat the same enemy for the gazillionth time.

It's when you start exploring that shit happens.

You need to know that:

also a personal tip: play as something you don't usually play in games, all classes are fun as fuck

Remember that wolves hunt in packs.

Goblins HATE fire!

Fashion and little girls.

moddb.com/mods/world-difficulty-by-lefein

Strength in numbers, Arisen.
Seriously, this is useful

Climbing giant monsters is much more fun than hitting their feet with a huge sword or waiting for a bar to fill up.

THE WIND IS PUSHING ME

There is a dedicated (if a little bland) Berserk class, movesets and everything.

You may see people talking about stat growth, but ignore them. Minmaxing is unnecessary, as long as your progression is at least vaguely logical. Magick Archer has the worst stat growth in the game but you wouldn't be able to tell playing it, and the idea that you should play 190 levels as sorcerer for MA to reach peak effectiveness is rubbish. Just play the class you find fun to play. Gear will handle the rest.

There's a strict progression to when quests are available, and some are easily missed. If you're autistic about 100%ing the game you'll probably need a guide.
Also, as was mentioned, you can end up being taken somewhere well above your abilities by quests or simple exploration. There's a couple bandits that a lot of people have been frustrated by because they didn't keep this in mind and didn't git gud.

BBI is the best part of the game.

That's bad advice. You NEED minmaxin if you ever with to do actual damage, thanks to how defense works. 400 extra str/mag can make a huge difference in fights, and it also gets multiplied with consumable items.

There's literally no reason to don't plan your build in advance and minmaxing.

Do a vanilla run the first time, no point in ruining the game for yourself for your first run. It is perfectly playable otherwise. At least DD is, no idea about Dark Arisen.

Be aware of the Affection system. Once you progress far enough in the main story a character will be locked as your beloved. Make sure to maximize the affection with the character you want or else the game will pick the character with most affection towards you. You will know if you have maxed someone relationship if they blush when you talk to them and some kind of bells sound when you start dialogue with them. If you have more than one maximum relationship, the one you spoke to last will be chosen as beloved once you do an specific Main Story quest.

It is very important because you can accidentally max relationship with certain characters through sidequest or simply because you buy or use the services of NPCs too much, which increase their relationship towards you. To increase you relationship gift things to character and do their escort missions. To decrease it I think you can hit, threaten by unsheathing your weapons or pick them up and throw them, aswell as gifting certain items, but those can only be obtained in BBI, which is DLC stuff and better done after the main story to avoid spoilering the plot.

This may not look very important, but it can ruin what is one of the best and most dramatics moments of the game.

Fuck you, i've been in hard mode without min-maxing as a fucking magick archer and i rek things all right.

Hey OP, want to know what min-maxing means?
"Hey, you want to play magick-archer? Too bad, farm 200 levels as sorceror first! because MUH DAMAGE"
"Do you want to play as mystic knight? Farm 200 levels as assassin to STR gain"

Telling a first timer to min-max will only make him hate the game.

I second this, it's a game worth replaying as a different class anyway. Most classes have decent stat growths but the starting ones are weaker than the warrior, sorcerer and ranger.
This means you'll want to switch over to one of those asap even if you wish to unlock passives from the other classes. This is since your lvl character lvling and gaining stats from said class is not tied to the class lvling up even though they gain exp from the same source (killing shit).
Later in game you can just keep an eye on your exp and avoid lvling up your character while specced into say mage, but still lvl up the class for nice passives.

Didn't they "fix" that by giving you a ring, which if you gift it to an NPC they becomes locked as your beloved?

That's because Magick Archer is OP as fuck. I was lvl appropriate to the last boss in BBI on a semi minmaxed magick archer build and I 2-3 shot him with the multiple arrows skill.
Don't minmax on your first run, but it's a fun possibility down the road.

To add to this, only thing you might want to look are the "Augments", they are passives that you gain for leveling a class and you can use in any build you want. Some of them are really useful, use a wiki for that.

Nop, the ring max you affection, but doesn't lock your beloved. I tested it last time I played. Gave the ring to Quina, ended with Selene because she was the one I talked with last.

Unless you play on PC and can mod the game, don't bother playing as a mage/sorcerer longer than it takes to max out their vocation ranks (if you need that of course). The magic system in this game is terrible. Your pawns will kill most enemies before you are able to cast any AoE spell (yes, even if you wear the ring and have the spellcast time reduction augument). And by far the most powerful sorcerer/mage attack looks and feels so pathetic that you really don't feel too heroic using it…
If you want to faceroll everything, play magic archer but any class but mage/sorcerer is really fun. It's just an advice though, maybe you'll find playing as them fun…

Bullshit. Not only the spells are impressive and fun to use, there is a little trick that breaks the game in two. Make your pawn or summon another's pawn that is sorcerer and has the same high level spells as you (High Bolide etc). If he has the right inclinations, when you start casting your spells he will join you and begin casting the same spell. This will increase the speed by a lot and cast the spell as many time as sorcerers are casting the spell. Thats right fucker, you can have a full party of sorcerers and cast high level spells four times super fucking fast.

WEBM not related, I haven't any footage of magic synchronization, sorry.

Sorry for the youtube link, here is an example of the spell. Observe how when the player start casting, a magic circle appears surrounding her. That's the indication that spells can be synchronized.

youtube.com/watch?v=1xKwb2Fletc

I tried that as well but unless you can find a safe spot for all four of the partymembers, you will not be able to pull off a full 4-people spell sync, or at least not consistently. I agree, however, that spells themselves are really impressive and that's what they should look lie when you are casting spells by yourself.
Also, it would be much faster to kill the cyclops in the video by just spamming focused holy bolt.

I'll say 4 sorcerers is overkill, two is fine. I must concede too, that spamming holy bolt is better in general to kill monsters, but I just find it much more fun to bring a balance party with two sorcerers and wreck bosses with double maelstrom. I'll say that the game main problem with its magic system is how defense work and the imbalances it have concerning the power and usability of some skills and spells. If fucking Capcom didn't sucked dick they would had released DD2 improving all of DD's faults.

Play hard mode first

The only skill you'll ever need, everything else is just window dressing.

Play blind.
Experiment, Basically all classes are pretty fun in their own right.
Collect everyfuckingthing mobs drops until you're pretty heavy, then drop those off into your bank. Mob loots are used for upgrading your shit.
Work on some sidequests here and there, progressing too far in the main storyline may lock some of the more interesting quests.
Avoid using your pawn commands until you know what you're doing, those fuck up their inclinations so you may end up with a useless dimwit fighting by your side.
Don't use the dress.

Do NOT listen to this user, Hard Mode is meant for New Game+, it may feel "amazing" depending on the way you like your games, but it fucks up the economy and actually ends up being EASIER than the base game.

For maximum fun? Beat the game and install this mod: nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/96/
Skill, weapon, and class limits will be a thing of the past to you. If you set it up right, you can even sort of have 6 skills on a Warrior.

Just remember that there's strength in numbers Arisen.

rent my pawn OP

JAPANESE SKYRIM

… brb respeccing

The thing about Warriors is if you play one, you'll get a LOAD of HP but not as much strength as you would otherwise as an Assassin. This isn't a huge deal, but expect to be less Glass Canon and more Unstoppable Glacier.

Also learn to use your jumping light attack. It's the fastest thing you have and it works wonders on fliers.

It's the best way to kill crows too.

Let me contradict this user. Hard mode basically gives you infinite money for the main game and lets you skip doing yor taxes and actually play the game. This doesn't mean that you'll get to play dress up though. You will definitely want to wear good armor on hard mode. Dress up your pawns.

Objectively wrong

Reminder that Capcom will forever waste the potential of it's IPs and we will never get a remake of DD with all of it's original content that had to be cut put back in.

The worst or at least the most pressingly curious part here is the mystery ending 5, and cut ending 2. The former might be losing to the Seneschal and becoming the Dragon, but it could also be something else entirely, forever unknown to us. And ending 2- 'break the cycle of death & rebirth'- suggests that the thing puppeteering Daimon was more than just a setting-meaningless anomaly or a style-over-substance throwin, but a valid second option for the world versus the Seneschals' keeping the wheels of the world turning through imposition of struggle and terror to maintain meaning & volition.

...

Min-maxing is fucking boring though.
Same goes for saving before Daimon chests and suicide-rerolling until you get a drop you want.

You might have a case for Daimon 2 hard mode with regards to un-periapt'd damage when it comes to Mystic Knight (hybrid physical and magic damage), but every other boss by the time someone gets to level 200, if they even bother, is a cakewalk.

C-can you give em big tits?
Or try making them plump?
How about some THICC lolis?

Yes to all three, although the tits may not be as big as you want

I only just realised the most popular "beloved" choices are opposite sex character pairs
And aelinore and selene are both small cute chicks but differs in every other way

I thought Mystic Knight damage was only split as by skill. In other words, Mystic Cannon was all magic damage, the earth rift ability was all physical damage, etc.

There's no downside to having Selene crash at your place for infinite free threesomes.

Has anyone datamined the exact character creation settings for the NPCs?
Specifically Mercedes.

...

The difference in strength is fucking nothing, but the difference in stamina is huge. That probably doesn't matter too much for a Warrior but if you switch to another class it could be a pain.
What's the best way to min-max for magic damage? All Sorc is what people say but I worry about having no stamina, especially since I've MA is supposed to be very stamina intensive.

download a mod that maximizes stat growth for each class, otherwise you might end up kinda gimped at the end depending on your class choices during leveling. other than that, the fun in the game is the TECHNOLOGY for me, so remember that a lot of things will work in this game

Stamina does not matter. That's what liquid vim is for. By the time you might end up needing them the fucking throw them at you.

After checking online, it does not seem possible to create TERA-Erin-styled thicc lolis. I'm severely disappointed by this.

Install World Difficulty (with skeleton nerf, or you'll regret it)

I think magik cannon is a 60MAG/40STR, and like so, there are skills focused on STR and others on MAG but they are always split between the two

thank god magic cannon is busted as fuck, even with it mystic knights have a hard life

...

...

I've played enough of those to know how it goes. How is this one different from the others?

I don't know what experience you have with "difficulty mods" but from my understanding, this mod actually alters the AI behaviour of the various enemies, challenging you in ways that causes you to actually need to use the other debuffs the game offers.

now i can relate to warriors

Yeah, I wish all enchantment spells were like a single slot skill which let you choose which element to use when casting it, sort of like DD online does. I know some may consider that it takes away the requirement to prepare for what you may encounter beforehand, but I just find it better to be able to slot more interesting skills instead of using slots for the elements I may need or just slot Holy and Fire cause they are in general the most effective ones. It would also allow for more flexible party configurations and would help to make more niche elements like darkness to be use more often. Add to the fact that enchantment changes how certain skills work (shield parry on mystic knights, magic bolts, etc) it would also let to greater variety when fighting and people choosing spells for the different attacks, not only elemental weaknesses (of course, in a perfect case scenario where every single attack variation is useful and there is not OP enchantment).

Just a thought.

The mod I linked earlier in the thread has a function that lets you swap out skill sets with a hotkey. It's quite helpful for that sort of thing unless you play on a controller like I do

Can you post a direct link to the world difficulty mod that has the skeleton nerf? There's one link for the world difficulty mod in this thread and I don't know if that's the good one.

I just like WD because it changes the game world so it feels fresh and you don't start one-shotting everything outside of BBI and bosses halfway through the game.

Is there any other game with good dress-up as Dragon's Dogma, but still with fun gameplay?

Saints Row 2 and 3 are decent enough.
Soul Calibur IV and V has good character creation and it's a fun fighting game.
Tekken 7 also has customizable clothes and hair for the existing characters, but no character creator per se.
Still nothing beats Honey Select

nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/378/?tab=2&navtag=https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/ajax/modfiles/?id=378&pUp=1
It's included in the main download, it's a .rar that shows up in the enemy folder.
Basically just extract it to the same folder and let it overwrite, skeletons are BS even with the nerf on.

Make a loli, download the nude mode and dress like a whore.

Why bother? DD is lumpy and ashy as fuck.

(checked)
I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the sound of oneshotting everything.

The character creation for males in Honey Select was too limited when I tried it

...

WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY BUFF MUSCULAR LOLIS

Wrong, the last legs preset will give you exactly what you are looking for.

Do the thick legs affect the gameplay? Does the pawn have more stamina for running?

Pretty sure it increases weight but not 100% sure, and anything that increases weight increases stamina at the cost of stamina regeneration speed.

Pedos get out.

Just mash and hold the confirm button alot to loot everything very very slowly

Anyone got those old skyrim/darksouls/dragonsdogma comparison images?

I'm going to masturbate to little girls and there's nothing you can do about it!

Just play to 200 however you want and then edit your save to give yourself the stats you'd have ended up with if you were an autist, user.

Selene best beloved hands down
Quina is good
Madeleine and reynard are third place
All others are pretty shit
Especially Mercedes, dumb bitch couldn't even 1v1 julien and her accent is retarded

Any of you have the WEBM for this relic?

WE NEED ANOTHER Holla Forums SINGS

OP, if you want to seriously cheese the game, do the following
Note that this will make your game VERY trivial. With this I even managed to bring ur-Dragon up to 25%

Were there changes between the PC release of DD: DA and the original PS3 version? I swear, there's new skills here that weren't here before.

Oh, I forgot to thank you. Sorry and thanks.

The only changes that I know of are actually the opposite of what you said since there are armours in PS3 versions that are missing on the PC one because of licensing issues.

Got the mod that made me jump higher, removes weight limit, remove stamina drain when running and remove the ESRB load screen. I know there is a way to merge it with the nude mod that get rid of the ugly brown wrappings around the female's chest, but I'm not patient enough to do it.

Needs a sequel real bad.

Instead we'll get DMCV.

I was never a fan after I got burned on DMC 2. I bought the HD collection on ps3 and its just been sitting there waiting for 3 to be played.

Oh, yeah. Just DL the PC version of DMC3 magnet:?xt=urn:btih:975a36c799a68d8ffb2a4ca1073948757b6f8f83, get the Style Switcher mod off nexus and you're set.

You got burned at the worst one and stopped before playing the best one, you faggot.

Can I play as Guts? I heard his sword was in the game actually

Arctool is piss easy to use, do it nigger, I avoided merging mods for a while because it seemed like a pain in the ass but in the end it only took a couple of minutes and I felt like a retard for putting it off so much.

Hey! You have to actually register to download those mods and that means paying to register. I thought these would be free.

Any other links?

That's bs though, just make an account with a throwaway email.

See

Due to (((copyright))) issues, they had to remove all the berserk references.

You need to play assassin or magick archer.
Magick archer is overall stronger I guess, but can't deal damage to golems (immune to magic).

That's only the PS3 version and I haven't seen anyone mod it back in for PC yet.
Their license to use the gear ran out between the time of the initial and re-release.
That said, you can still make a dead ringer for him with the character creator.

Sorry. I just noticed the fine print that says that you can just make an account anyway for free. Sorry everyone. I was just impatient.

Don't make a loli.
Don't hire lolis.
They're a pain to deal with, like strong gusts of wind knocking them over, slowing them down, and them getting swept up in rivers you cross.

Even thick-legged lolis?

The only real annoyance with lolis is their low carry capacity, which can be fixed with a weight mod, everything else is so easy to overlook your only excuse would be that you just don't love your loli enough.

Wew lad, just save the skeleton missions for later and learn how to fight them. It changes the order you do early missions because Watergods altar becomes the hardest one followed by cultist meeting in the catacombs. Shadow fort is now the easiest one and should be done first along with a bit of minor grinding on the other sidequests and some random world NPCs/bosses during your traveling before you try fight skeletons.

The hardest part of it is the everfall but you can either run past them with no consequence or try to cheese it by throwing them off ledges. Main thing to watch out for is their absurd damage since they are so overlevelled early. Goblins are great to farm but watch for for Grimgoblins that get mixed in early, how tough they are depends on your class. Fighters/warriors beat them easy, sorcs/MAs struggle a lot more and archers have to play it well to win but can usually do okay if they have a good fighter pawn that grapples them.

I couldn't get difficulty mod working.Copied files in respective directories and game didn't change

Mod in the original theme song into the main menu.
That's all you need.

Flare/Gleam is a 100% knockdown with good damage against skellys, you can just spam it with articulacy and they can't do anything against it.

I meant against Goblins, mainly early MAs. They are one of my favourite classes against skeletons because of flare and scension.

Is goblin slayer good? I have had it in my backlog for years.

It's probably one of my favourite manga tbh, I would definitely recommend trying it. It can be a bit dark at times but is a lot of fun and the main character is pretty great.

What is a good enb/visual mod for this game that wont fuck my shit up fps wise? at 1440p everything kills my framerate by more that 50% and its a pain

It has a severe case of rape-as-edgy. Otherwise its alright.

I can already tell the author doesn't know what direction to take as far as developing the main character though.

It's pretty good, getting scans of it is a bitch since it got an English serialization. Author has a serious boner for references with Dragon Crown, Berserk and Fate/Stay Night Lancer being prime examples I disagree with on the author not knowing how he wants to develop the character. It's obvious in the newest chapter that this entire journey should be a form of rehabilitation for MC at least moderately climbing towards normalcy as the story goes on. Correct about the rape being in your face about it but I like how it's a realistic take on how Goblins would actual function in a more "realistic" fantasy rather then ideal. My main concern is that he can only slay so many goblins so goblin power levels are going to spiral completely out of control by either making some super Goblin god eventually or more of random demon lords and other such creatures being in Goblin nests.

Im not a pedo, that is a sick fetish and they should all be hanged, but 15+ year olds are good for me. As long as they are fully developed and are biologically ready for the dick, its fair game.
Since Im in college right now I get to see a bunch of women in their prime. Some of the best looking ones right now are the fun sized ones, especially if they are cute and retain their youthful features. Its too bad im too autistic to get one for myself

So whats stopping me from making myself a QT "loli" and enjoying her company for myself? I just like cute girls. I dont even fap to videogames.

Shoulda never targeted the moon.

SCIII is the one you go to for this stuff.

He won't be one until the words "cunny" and "cummies" leaves his lips.

Any story-line with a not-Cu is basically guaranteed to be a good one.

I wonder if my twink pawn is still in the top 100. I remember her being something like #7 when I quit the game. Level 51 strider loli named Angel with all the rare tier 3 bitterblack gear.

Still there. Down to rank 39 now. Not bad for not having played in nearly 2 years though

I guess I'll play it again, what mods should I use? Besides World Difficulty mod? Did anyone tried Total Rebalance mod?

So I posted in the other thread because I didn't see this one. I just this game and I want to know how to play like him
